My kids who have no idea who you are often walk in the room and tell me about the music or in the case that scene in the beginning. I love it man keep it up!
Congrats, Coop, on such a nice fish. And you nailed it with the solemn and majestic music. It is an honor to catch AND release such a specimen. Always love your vids. Thanks for sharing them with us.
yes and it is also an honor to catch AND eat such a specimen, or to catch AND mount it as a trophy, considering the indisputable scientific, biological facts of their biology that, such a large and enormous trophy speckled trout is actually on average over 5 years old. And thus, therefore, has had many, many spawning cycles to pass on its trophy genetics. Because speckled trout spawn multiple times per year. It is the same reason and concept that hunters harvest massive, old trophy bucks for example. The same reason hunters harvest older big fat female does for. By that age, by that time, they are big enough to be considered “trophy status” in the sporting world, AND have had many spawning or breeding cycles. Catch it cook it, release it, whatever you wanna do! All within TPWD permitted regulations of course. But I always love educating the virtue signaller commenteers who think they need to emphasize and tout the release of such large, old trophies when the facts are, in fact, the exact opposite, they’ve had many spawning cycles, and are ripe and ready to be harvested kept as a trophy. But again, each fisherman should do as each fisherman prefers. And I absolutely encourage you to check me on the biology, on the science, on the pescatology of what I hope to have enlightened you upon, for the good reasons to catch and to keep a big ole trophy and how there is nothing wrong it and for why it is legal.
well i know which lure i am buying next. More lure companies ought to sponsor him so he can get his new badass truck that I believe he deserves for entertaining us all these years. I have found several lures off of his videos. Example Egret Wedgetail lures, off a video of his a few years back. Caught my PB speck on one!😅
13:14; 14.28% of videos guaranteed every single day from now on calculates out to, approximately, one new video every four and a half days, using 31 days in a month times .1428😅😂 equals 4.4. I did math! With a calculator! But quite glad to see a new video and will not be disappointed at all if the quota of one video every 4.4 days is not met. No worries at all! Set your own video schedule and change as needed for sure.
Please allow me to be a buzzkill and take you too seriously😅… they do not have nerves in their lips and oh yah, they are not human and cannot think like that. ‘Chill bud’ is much more applicable to the fact that they can’t breathe air. They breathe water. And they definitely do have pain receptor nerve endings in the rest of their body and organs that tell them get back in the water now now now now now now now now! Now!😂 Flipperty flippy flippy all around. So that would be where the pain is coming from, not the lip, with no nerves in it.
right. lol. i think i see what you did there. 😂😉😏But also, it is worth noting and making a distinction between fisher tubers that buy their own lures and then make videos catching fish, versus other tubers or professional pros who also happen to have a youtube channel, who are sponsored by lure companies. There is a difference in my opinion. A big difference. And even moreso, a difference between lure sponsored tubers that specifically disclose being sponsored, versus those who do not disclose.
Glad to see Texas is catching on. The Slick has been winning tournaments along Alabama and Florida panhandle for several years. Such a fun and versatile bait to throw. Keep the great videos coming, Cooper.
noticed he had not had a video in a while but just watched his previous video about vehicle troubles and lessons learned. Glad he is ok! Had sorta just assumed that maybe he had another job since some youtubers are part time and have “regular jobs” per se. Plus also with his marine biology degree and all. Anyways hope he is able to find a real good deal on a newer truck soon!
Ocean Man song… haha it is a cover of Ween’s song. Think it was on sponge bob maybe? Which I never watched because I was too old by that time. But anyways, discovered Ween band off of a Thresher Video a few years back when I first started watching Thresher! Love that song! And Ween, a hilarious band! A comedy-parody band with all original songs from the 1980’s, 90’s, and 00’s. Great stuff! Hilarious songs!
Love the videos bro the Galveston area has been tough for me lately but I saw some bigger tides otw at the end of February so hopefully my back lakes start filling back up
Nice!! Every time, or at least almost every time, I hook into a gator trout they breach the surface with a nice head shake at least once. I mean the head shakes are their trademark, and a lot of them will shake at the surface, but there’s this way they like to do it.
Been using the slick lure since the beginning of winter and it sure does catch a lot of solid trout. I’m usually a down south lure thrower but something about the slick during winter they like
The Slick Lure wrecks big speckled trout. I have tones of videos showing different ways of how to fish the lure. If you would like to get up together and go fishing let me know. I can also get the Owner of the slick lure to go with us and introduce you to him. We have become good friends and fish tournaments together. This lure will quickly become your favorite lure. Just subscribed.
Last year I tore up 25-31" Specs using nothing but my Paul Brown Fat Boy TX Chicken Lure. I tried same color paddle tails & caught small Spec's but if there's big Spec's in the water? They'll smoke that Fat Boy, Texas Chicken Color. My go too. I can cast it a country mile also. I'm talking about limiting out & start Culling 5min after daylight! From June thru Aug. off the Freeport & Surfside Jetties 🤟
I was like wth?? trout on a big soft plastic swim bait with bait casters?? then I realized it was Texas and you were going after speckled trout. interesting to see.
Nice video and awesome slam!!!. I was wondering if you could share what wading belt you have and did you modify that 3600 to attach it to the belt. Thanks!
The beginning of the video had me feeling like I was playing 1080⁰ on N64 and I chose you for a character and then I was picking my board.
haha that was kind of the idea
@@ThresherFishing nice. Should do that more often
Agree. Your videos are the bomb
Hahahahahaha Damn 1080 that brings back memories
My kids who have no idea who you are often walk in the room and tell me about the music or in the case that scene in the beginning. I love it man keep it up!
Fishing with your Dad and a beautiful scenery surrounding the 2 of you. Those are blessings for sure. Cheers from Cali.
always fun!
I'd give a million dollars in a heartbeat to spend another day fishing with my dad. You are truly blessed.

The video style and having your dad on it really took this video to another level. Tight lines and good luck out there, Coop!
Thanks man
Great video. Congrats on being able to find fish with your old man
Those flounder looked like ... dinner. Incredible restraint to throw them back. As always, thanks for sharing, Coop.
the smashbro intro on the "dad" portion got me lmao. The 3d rendering on the intro was fire as well homie
Great lure. Use them here in NC a lot in the winter. Regular and the slick Jr. Just let it sink and twitch a few times. Love the life and the video.

Yay! Coop is in the house! Killing it like always 🤙🏻🔥
It's amazing how many Game-changing lures are discovered by almost all the fishtubers.

Totally unreal video. Didn't spend nearly enough time at the character creation screen. Also Fishing DLC gear is way to OP.
Really good editing
Yo, the people need to know where to find that sweet cover of Ocean Man.
I see you Coach!!!!! I told you my husband follows your son😂❤love it!!!!!
That intro tho lol I love it bro
The Star Wars music cracks me up. More videos please. C'mon man.
The redemptive music at the end is what the ending needed.
The Slick and Slick Jr. are LEGIT...been winning tourneys down here in Lower Alabama for a while now. It has been a secret...until now.
Great content brother Coope , getting sick with the editing . Good stuff.
Great catches man!!
You need to try the Paul Brown Swim Devil. Trust me, it won’t disappoint.
Cherish those moments out on the water with your dad, I'd give everything I have to go fishing with my dad one more time.

You can super glue or melt soft plastics a little and make them usable again.
Last year I tore up 25-31" Specs using nothing but my Paul Brown Fat Boy TX Chicken Lure.

Nice Trout
Can we get an underwater GoPro while Wade fishing? Would be cool to see it hooked up swimming by the pole as you bring it in
