Nice video, definitely like the third person view and the comment on how your working the lure is exceptional information to new fisherman. Keep up the good work man.
@@TheFishAndTrips I used to but didn’t like the monthly subscription price. So I caved and switched over to Final Cut Pro. It’s also expensive but only a one time price.
I was literally saying to myself, “the rod tip is too high, you can’t really set the hook”, right before you said it. And the ONLY reason I knew that is because I heard someone talking about it on the speckled truth and realized it’s something I do a lot with jerk baits.
What waders do you use? I waded Port Bay the other day and my breathables (a little old) leaked like a screen door, LOL. And the best Simms cost more than a good rod and reel combo.
The new Simms freestone is what I used the ones with the zipper that runs up then they work amazing also Magellan makes a decent pair of waders as well but the two pairs of Simms I own are amazing!
I just bought some Simms G3 waders. Got them on sale at Roys for Black Friday. Got tired of spending around $100 every year on new waders. They always ended up leaking on me. I've only heard good thing about Simms so hopefully they will last!
Thanks, even at sales price, G3 better last with good and proper care. I’ve been reluctant to pull the trigger on higher end Simms but I know their reputation and reliability. I’ll use my neoprenes until I can afford the Simms, I also really like that zipper feature for comfort breaks and not having to wade back to the boat, kayak, or closest shoreline in a hurry.
I think you’re technique is great honestly you make it look so easy idk if it’s the area in which you are in I’ve tried getting into those corkys but they just don’t work with me lol awesome video brother !
When you are fishing and the trout get Lock Jawed, and I know we have all experienced this, you have to have a plan! That plan should include SCENT!! Scent will elicit a strike even when the fish are not feeding. The trick, finding the right scent!
Dang I love that intro clip... Do you normally tie a loop knot when fishing with the fat boy and soft dine? I do, was just wondering what you do...thanks.
Last question I promise so I am thinking about getting the Waterloo salinity 6”6 medium lite but it doesn’t come in a fast action only moderate fast will this make a difference I normally fish a fast just don’t really understand the moderate fast
@@gavinsawyer5111 No worries bro. If you have any other questions don't be afraid to ask. The reason I got the moderate fast Waterloo Salinity was because I already had a fast action Laguna Liquid. I figured it would be good to have rods with different action. The moderate fast isn't as sensitive as the fast action. I mainly throw corkys with this salinity since its slower action. I've heard that the slower action rods can help absorb the headshakes from big trout. So that's why I've been using it with corkys. I'll throw soft plastics and topwater with the liquid or other fast action rods. It all comes down to personal preference though. Hope this helps!
Is the laguana liquid 6”6 meduim light to whippy for soft plastics or is it perfect for plastics just trying to get a good understanding of that rod looking to get that rod for soft plastics
For both dirty and clear? Thats a tough one lol. But I've heard people say the gringo color does well in both clear and dirty water. Its basically just a pearl color.
I forgot to mention that thanks for asking. But nope. I just take them right out of the package and fish! No need to bend them. Only bend them back in place when you get a bite.
Love video. I'm glad you came out with this video. The softdine xl is a fantastic lure especially the custom. Don't get me wrong fatboy are good but softdine are better to me. By any chance are they good for night fishing under lights during the spring and summer months
Stocked up on the softdines today!
Nice! Time to put them to work! haha
i work the rod tip from SIDE TO SIDE instead of UP AND DOWN. Works for me. You might give it a try. enjoyed the video!
A great lure! There’s some great trout in that area for those who just walk in wade.
Definitely! Been planning on making a trip to your neck of the woods but haven't had a chance yet lol.
Those edits are looking crisp 👌
Thanks bro!
YES YEs!!!! I am sooooo glad you got some time with a XL your hooked now !!!!!

Appreciate your walk in wading videos! I'm still Gator chasing as well man! Gluck🎣
Thanks man! Don't always catch a whole lot when walk in wading but this trip was decent. If you catch a gator let me know!
Awesome vid Stix. I need to use the soft dine more. I have a few but they never get used.
Thank you! Yeah I'm definitely gonna be throwing them a lot more.
Nice video, definitely like the third person view and the comment on how your working the lure is exceptional information to new fisherman. Keep up the good work man.
Thanks man appreciate it!
My favorite lure for big trout!!
Gonna be one of my go to's now!
Excellent, sure enjoyed the convo earlier this evening.
Yessir! Always feels good to talk fishing. Lol
Your doing an outstanding job & you have encouraged me to get a solo skiff. If I keep watching you I may learn how to fish

Nice day out on the water. Always beats work. Have never fished that area before. Will have to try it sometime. Thanks for the trip out.
Definitely! Solid area. Doesn't always produce a lot of fish but its been good to me. lol

Thanks bro! If you get that big girl send me a picture so I can be jealous 😂
Badass vid man, I’ve also been having good luck with the fat boy as well. The big trout will come soon!
Thanks man! That's good to hear!

That chop to the beat in the intro was cra.🤯
Haha thanks bro!
@@StixHD did you mention before you edit with Adobe Premiere Pro?🤔

@@StixHD you need a Mac for Final Cut Pro right? That monthly is hell
@@TheFishAndTrips yeah you do need a Mac
U will find your fish and I can't wait to see it plenty of big trout fishing left with this early winter fish have put on lots of weight
I hope so! And yeah definitely! Just gotta keep grinding!
Is that spot on the way to Portland next to the Lexington?

Yeah lol. It's harder than it seems keeping the rod tip lower. Just gotta keep practicing.
Awesome Channel!!
Good work

what kind of body of water is that? In south carolina I would sink to my shoulders unless Im surf fishing haha

It's probably a good thing to video yourself so that you can see where any improvements can be made. Once again appreciate the video.
Yeah it really helps!

Me too man! I was pumped when I saw it haha.
Yeah I tie a loop knot on everything. Unless it has a split ring or swivel on the bait.
Alright thanks brother 👊🏽
@@StixHD will putting a split ring on the soft dine serve the same purpose ?
Man can you link the replacement hooks big dawg if you do not mind.
What reel and rod were using
Badass video! What reel you using bro?
Thanks you! It's a Lews Custom Lite. Expensive but its light as a feather lol.
NICE BROTHER 👊👊👊
Thank you!
Great video man! What rods are you using for your mirolures/ Corkys like the exact model and length and action?
Thanks bro! I'm using a Waterloo Salinity 6'8" Medium / Moderate Fast
Thanks for the reply what would you think about a 6”6 laguana liquid medium light fast for corkys and mirodines or would that not work

You think a redfish is rough on those? Try a bluefish. That reminds me, I need to buy some mend-it glue.
Is the laguana liquid 6”6 meduim light to whippy for soft plastics or is it perfect for plastics just trying to get a good understanding of that rod looking to get that rod for soft plastics
My liquid is 7’ works great for soft plastics. The 6’6” should be good as well!
Where you fishing at?
I don’t like anything touching my legs if I can’t see them even if I’m throwing lures because I’ve caught couple stingrays on mirror dines lures lol
Wat is the best all around softdine custom lure to use regardless whether its clear or dirty water?
For both dirty and clear? Thats a tough one lol. But I've heard people say the gringo color does well in both clear and dirty water. Its basically just a pearl color.
Corky Taco Tuesday. 🤙
Do you still bend the nose and tail down on the softdens?

What time of they year do I need to be throwin theese corkys
They work year round. But a lot of people mainly throw them in the cooler months.
What brand and size are those red treble hooks
4x Daiichi size 4
What rod, length& action are you using?
Never mind I see the answers in the comments. Thanks to all.
xotic fishing pole?
This should help me make it until the weekend.
