This is so helpful, thank you! I believe my yoga teachers are so over me coming into the studio and saying, “yes, but I saw this on Purple Valley”. 😊
I love this kind of video, that you really do it with somebody that also still learning, so easier for beginner like me to follow. Thank you and keep it up
Wow, so grateful for this sequence. Thank you for sharing it with this wonderful community. 🙏🏻
I just love this streching! Coming back to it every second day, thank you!!!
This flow felt good and was very relaxing. I feel like runners would greatly benefit from this flow. She is totally right too, yoga attracts a lot of obsessive types, myself included.
this has got to be one of the most useful (and painful) stretching routines to help me working on/achieving primary series. some of my major weaknesses unfold in just 30+ minutes. Shows of extensive knowledge and understanding of amatuer yogis from Deepika. and yes........strong man also flexible, little talking :) Thank you!!!
Thank you people! This is a great routine. I have been doing some of these openers before but now after seeing all the poses from the video, i can say that this complete set hits all the tight places in my body and it really helps me to progress in the ashtanga practice. Greetings from Bulgaria keep up the good work :)
Lovely teaching. Thank you. I love practicing hip openers as my hips and Lowe back are particularly tight due to past trauma. But they are slowly opening up I find your words about relaxing... Dropping in to the pose and letting gravity help rather than creating too much resistance really helpful I find I do this anyway but I beat my self up for it because it'd not "the propper way" very helpful thank you 🙏🙏🙏
This is an awesome sequence. I tried for the first time today after discovering it last night. It's a more advanced version of the one Deepika does in her Alomoves Beginner Ashtanga Series. That one focuses on just the hips and is about half the time of this one. I will try this series for a few months to see if I can experience some difference too. Based on the first day, I think this will work.
Happy to see this hips opener practice that I usually shares with my students and for myself. Thank.
Too me the most competent channel!🙏
Love it. Before knowing deepika does the double pigeon ive been doing it myself and it really does improve my kurmasana and lotuses
WOW thanks for these perfect stretches to ease my pain from years (almost two decades!) of cleaning houses! I do practice a little yoga but not consistently. I will absolutely do these hip openers daily!! Blessings and thanks Didi!
so great. thank you. I definitely incorporate the moves into my stretching routine.
Truly the last one is a game changer....
Thank you so much for sharing ...🙏
Fantastic, I will keep going this stretches.Would love to see more videos like that, to supplement my practice :)
So happy to have found this video for me to improve my practice! Most of all, have all my questions answered :) lately i have been having a light pain on my right elbow and i think i just need more strength and warm up AND lose more body weight haha
Thank you so much:) I would do more of this after my strength trainings
Thanks a tonne, will practice from today and hope to be successful in a months time for practicing forward bending asanas. Thanks🙏
Great video, and Stu ist very sweet taking lesson 😁😁😍😍😍 Thank you 🙏🏽☯️☮️🕉
Thank you! Loveeeed the shoulder openers

omg this is exactly for me ... 7 years yogi here, new to ashtanga ... desperately need to open my hips and triceps ... thanks so very much
Actually good for the beginniners mam. I was looking for the same.
Looks great! I have to try this out!
I love it. Thanks a lot
I was looking for such sequence for a while to make on morning.
Great video. Thanks! Good balance between talking and exercise. Helpfull for me as a semi-advanced yogi. Best video thanks to the dog!! :-)
You are a great teacher.
You guys are techies.
Amazing to listen to you....
Many people approach yoga religiously. I like to approach bit scientifically. Your videos helping me in this regards.
Yoga is not religious if it would be something it would be perhaps spiritually otherwise is better running or cardio.
Whoever had negative things to say about Deepika is obviously unable to use his eyes to see her and I am convinced she is more capable than the sad viewer will ever be at not only lifting her own weight, contorting her body in unthinkable asanas but also doing it with grace and beauty. I would like to see if the person who decided to criticize her could survive and recover from an accident such as the one she had with even half her heart and tenacity. I doubt it! Poor soul! Love you Deepika!
I totally agree as I didn't appreciate that comment: useless comment and I applaud how Deepika just laughed it off... bravo to her 😊
💙 Love it🙏💙🙏 thank you so much ☯️
Thank you so much. It's not easy but it's cool.
Hi, love the video, it was a really big help, but for me the best pose was the one the dog is in, I can hold that for hours!!😀
How do people expect for the obviously leading instructor to keep silent? Loving this.
This video is gold 🍯
Very useful, thank you 💚
Thank you for sharing🙏
Today, I discovered your channel.I am profoundly impressed by the way you teach yogasanas.I am 65 now.I learnt yog from BKS Iyengar,Pune(I am resident in Pune.)
Recently, I read a studied comment by Dr. Stuart McGill that- " forward flexion and twisting movements hurt spine. He consents to core Strengthening Exercises.I am confused now.How to reconcile the opposites- forward fold, paschimottanasana, toe- touching are forbidden. Please express your view on this.
Always such fun filming with Deepika
thank you very much from Paris !
I learnt the doggy pose from the video. long meditation held for almost 25 minutes! :D
Deepika is a Icon of Indian yogi. I appreciate to her. She is so talented and more flexible. I really like her and follow almost every social media 🙏🌻

Much needed
Excellent video Stu and Deepika! Very useful and informative! Dear Stu, please, should you be so kind as to make a similar video giving us detailed explanations on how to prepare for "Eka pada shirsasana·"? Thanks for all these wonderful film recordings.

Glad that i've found this video. Thanks for sharing.😊. Very well explained and deailed teaching. When i practice this, i feel sore and also great at the same time more on the hip flexor and hamstring.. 😂 Now i know why i feel very tight in some pose like king pigeon and pinca. I have a question about squeezing the elbow on the shoulder opener in order to maintain correct arm position 32:57, is there any specific position of the knees and the quadriceps that we need to work on? Coz i feel like my back is sinking down. Also when the arm straight like in 34:57 how do @Deepika maintain very straight upper back at the scapula area? Love to hear from you. Thank you. 😊🙏 Namaste
Wah perfect
Pls tell something excluding knee poses as I had done with Total knee replacement surgery . Walking normal now having rheumatoid arthritis. Pls I m doing some of the iyenger poses u pls suggest some more.
I just started doing yoga a few weeks ago. I get pain in my upper left glute that radiates to my lower back on the left whenever I bend over which limits my ability to do forward fold and these poses. How do I work on this to not feel the pain during or after?
she has a more complete series on Omstars for hips and shoulders.
How to do a proper downward facing dog at 26:53
Deepika has amazing arms and shoulders.
This is greaaaaaaat
good sharing deepika
Stu, have you been doing (or still do) Ballet?
Also thank you both for sharing this, I really enjoy your videos. Deepika, I love your pace and rhythm! Often with other yoga video's I feel like the teacher goes too fast. Both in building up/preparing to quick, or not at all as in not spending enough time in some asanas.
I'm thankful for you both, sending love!
Oh and then the birds in the background and the dog!! ohhh so lovely
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻
The sleeping doggy is the best ! Nirvana!
:)
I 💖 Deepika! 🙂
She is not beautiful. You cannot understand yoga
Thomas Elliott ...lol. Go do some self-reflecting.
Can you do a video on Wrist flexibility?
Hi, can you do a video on dealing with misaligned hips which may be caused due to muscle imbalances in legs? Please suggest some tips to correct alignment.
TIA
Love Lavender oh my gosh I have that same struggle! I’d love help with misaligned hips (I have it from SI joint disfunction).
The Second Sunrise I know ryt. I hope they do one!
May I suggest try and wear modern barefoot shoes as they have zero heel raise. Also sleep with a pillow between your knees.

She is cute.
Very helpful practice. Deepika, where are your leggings from? They are so beautiful!
These leggings are from an Australian company called Dharmabums. They both colaborated with her and theres a video out there of it you can search it. But unfortunately from the website we can see that they stopped their colorful designs now and changed everything about their leggings.
She is so gorgeous i almost thought i was being click baited
Subtitles in Spanish please!
if the dog's bottom was positioned a little further back...:)
People who have lots of big muscle train their muscles again and again to get even bigger... and lack flexibility, stamina etc. Perhaps they should have their focus on other things. One might think that people who are more mindful as a part of their practice would reflect: "People who are (very) flexible..."
Enjoy your suffering.
