How hilarious! On the left is the most expensive item in the game which is the crown with 999,999 Pokedollar.

Yeah, though it's a steal to be able to get it so early with its evolution, and with pokedollars being based on Yen, it's more like $5
Honestly I'd love it if mail made a return in a modern game because now that we have Wi-Fi and the GTS/Wondertrade I think it would be fun to send/receive Pokemon with special messages also I never had anyone to trade with all the way until gen 6 so I never even had a chance to use mail when it was still part of the games.

I reminds me of my gen 4 days. I would go to the Pokémart and buy so many mails in every pattern, 50 pokédollars a piece. Then, I would put messages in them and give them to Pokémon. But I didn't know how to link my game to WiFi. I didn't even know I could. So I would make so many mails because I was lonely.
I spent most of my game time underground and making mail.

PokeTips You forgot about the Mega Mart on Akala Island which drops everything to half price, and then combined with Roto-Bargain gives you 1/4 price

Roto Bargain doesn't stack with the discount.
That would be really broken as you can just buy items and sell them for twice what you paid, so they just made it so you can have the discount or roto bargain, not both at once

For Gen 2, I reckon the Fresh Water, Soda Pop, and Lemonade you can buy at the RF of Goldenrod Dept Store would be honourable mentions. I mean, for a price of a Potion, you at least get the same healing as a Super Potion. You should do a which item has the most bang for the buck.

I just thought of something in RBY that's cheaper than an Antidote. There is the museum that someone else mentioned, which costs only 50, but I thought of something else.
So, you're required to pay 500 to enter the Safari in Fuchsia City at least once in order to get the Surf HM and the Gold Teeth to give to the warden for the Strength HM. However, in Pokémon Yellow, if you have less than 500 Poké Dollars, the game will still let you into the Safari for whatever you have, but you'll get fewer Safari Balls. If you're flat broke, you can get in for free, and will be given just 1 Safari Ball.
However, I know free things are excluded from the list here. So, let's say you're holding exactly 1 Poké Dollar. Then, you can enter the Safari by paying only that 1, and that would be the cheapest non-free thing you could spend money on. (I believe this only works in Yellow. In Red and Blue, you could effectively get softlocked if you somehow couldn't afford the 500 to get into the Safari to get the required items.)

I find it hilarious what they did with the poke toy. I never knew that thing even existed until watching this video! Only $100 to have basically a worthless item, what a steal! That’s 90% off it’s original retail price, as the $1000 clefairy doll back in the day! Clearly they realized not a single person actually gives a damn about that trash, and gave it a new look to separate the new from the old, and drastically reduced the price to a tenth of what it once was, in the hopes someone, anyone would buy one! Considering i didnt even know it existed, having played through the game 4 times, i don’t think they were successful XD

For example super potions cost 700 but only heal 50
Where lemonades cost 350 but heal 80
Maybe exclude max potions and full restores from the list because not every Pokémon has over 600 health

I never really understood the purpose of mail in Gen 2 & 3. In order to send the message to someone via trade, you would have to be right near them, so why not just tell them what you need to tell them.
But the GTS and Wi-Fi trading made it fun

i think we have solved the diglett mystery. Digletts don't have feet, they are burrowed in pikachus and eevees underground. So, if you pull a diglett up, you will find a pikachu/eevee!

You may find it annoying that you can't deposit a Pokémon with mail into the PC, but that restriction was extremely helpful for Twitch Plays Pokémon.

Mail maybe the cheapest item in some of these games but it’s definitely not the cheapest usable item in the game especially with the constantly tighter customisation. Seriously what is the point of mail when there’s actually useful items you can give to each other via trade, I mean is anyone going to pick a card with text on over a lum Berry, evolutionary stone or literally anything else?
