Join your chain in the first chain w a slip stich to make a ring
Chain 3
2 double crochets into the ring
Chain 2
3 double crochets into the ring
Chain 2
3 double crochets into the ring
Chain 2

Join w a slip stitch into the top of the first chain
Fasten off
-Switch colors-
Join the second color pulling through both strands to make it tighter and chain 3

I am having A LOT of trouble with simply closing the circle in the granny square. I've seen others pull the tail end to draw it tighter, but I can't get that to work. Any advice?
