Not quite halfway through and Dillon is looking like an absolute SAVANT, picking out 2 Buffalo Trace bottles and picking one as a wheater. Can't wait to see what happens.

Dillon would be a monster in Matt Madness. The fact that he managed to pick out two Buffalo Trace products + that one was a wheater. Oh and guessing the correct bottle too. What a beast.

Wow I’ll keep my eyes open for that Buffalo Trace Wheater! Great pick, and probably a good Weller alternative, sounds delicious!

I think it’s important to remember that generally speaking you can determine a good whiskey. But everyone is different and may interpret tastes differently. ( not right or wrong- just different)
Everyone may agree the sky is blue, but when we start talking what shade of blue people will have different opinions. So the only good whiskey is the one you personally enjoy.

I know what I would pick next in this proof range. Gonna need a heavy hitter to dethrone the kosher

Blanton’s listed as a distant third. Never tried the Kosher whiskey, but must be good to edge Statesman.

Remedy just got the new Foursquare 2010 12 year for $79.99 and the new HP CS #3 for $79.99. Great price on both and I'm glad i waited a few weeks for them to get them because i knew they would have the best price.

If OF Stateman and BT Kosher are so close, best buy for the $ is the Stateman.

That kosher stuff is just as hard to get as weller. Sometimes almost as expensive. One guy in frankfort ky wanted 300 for that bottle! dillon, blantons flavor can vary sometimes so i agree with you. I grew up drinking it since we were 2 min from the distillery. Well since highschool!

Always excited to see a new "Contender" video. As with others, props to Dillon on the guesses. Blantons is good, but somewhat nice to see there are better choices given availability. However, I've never seen the BT Wheater. I'll be on the lookout.

Dillon was right, they tried to trick him and he called out Blanton's and Buffalo Trace wheated. WOW. Imo doesn't really matter if he mixed the two up, he nailed the flavors and aromas in the mix. If you know all three bottles, it's easy to assign each one of those.

My only critique is the spread in proof is way too vast. I would narrow it down to within 10 proof points or even less. Otherwise why would you ever pick a 90 proof over a 105 proof?

Maybe drink some water before tasting each glass - stop some blending of flavors.
