    I agree too expensive for the performance. Pump pressure is weak at 50 feet. What I liked was the turnkey nature.

    Good Morning KAycee, can you give me the details of the Tent and the rack system on your truck Please?

    • @adventuresofkaycee
      @adventuresofkaycee  3 года назад

      Thanks for the Question! The rack is the TRECK by Road Armor and the tent is the CVT Mt Hood. We’ve been busy the last few months with moving and are currently doing a full suspension upgrade to the truck and a few other goodies. Going to try and get a full overview video of our rig up in the next couple months.

      That would be great! I have a Ram Rebel and would like to put a rack and a tent on it.
      Looking forward to the video…

    Thanks for the review. Really thorough, and I thought the 'cons' were really good points. The ease of use seems to be a major selling point, but really useful to hear that the pump may not perform as advertised. I'm still keen because the overall package seems very tidy, but your review gave some great food for thought. Thanks.

    thanks man, those have been my questions! Still wavering between building my own kit, buying the joolca or getting a waterport/road shower

      @adventuresofkaycee  3 года назад

      We also looked at the waterport, but ultimately a 17 gallon bed mounted tank worked best for us.

    Great review and great looking truck. I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
    Get an ironman shower tent for that. I got that on my tundra and works great. Currently using a waterport but family is looking for heated showers.

    I preordered mine before they came out . I was totally disappointed when I tried it out . most of the plastic fittings leaked it could barely build enough off - on pressure to run . the pump began a quick on -off cycle . best it could do is a warm shower using garden hose .
    Major fail on my unit .

    Thanks for the review. I ordered one back in November, and ended up cancelling in early February after three delays in shipping due to a variety of reasons. My feeling is that is company is borderline managed and simply don't have their act together. Production and supplier issues, QC issues, shipping issues. And now you say they want to increase their pricing? If you replace the pump, please give a shout out on what you end up going with. Think I'll source an alternate, this company just seems a bit too risky to invest in one of their products. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them out of business....

      We had an issue with ours doing the same. The flame wouldn’t stay lit. Customer service dead t horrible, and they sent us a replacement unit. Been trouble free ever since.

    Just stumbled onto your review, I was/am considering this unit. How's it held up over the course of your use this year. Some of the things you said give me pause about buying the Joocla. A hot shower when out for weeks at a time is amazing. Makes the trip million times easier to deal with.
    Would you buy the Joocla again?
    Thanks for the honest review

    • @adventuresofkaycee
      @adventuresofkaycee  2 года назад +1

      It’s held up and it works. If I was to do it over again, I’d opt for a camp chef or similar unit from Amazon now. Nothing wrong with the Joolca, but I can’t justify their price increase from when I purchased. Combined with the issues I had with the pump (it seems all these pumps are pushers - I end up using a separate battery source at the water to power the pump in that case) it wasn’t worth the “all in one everything ready” solution.

    Thank you for the review of the water heater. It was very informative. What type of bed rack, roof rack and bed cover do you have on your truck?

    • @adventuresofkaycee

      Thank you for the comment. We run a DiamondBack HD tonneau, Road Armor Treck bed rack, and a Frontrunner Slimline II Roof rack.

    Hey kaycee great review! Just got back from a 5 day glamp! This thing did pretty good was a able to handle all my family’s showers and washing dishes. I did end up blowing out the pump (probably due to user error) emailed joolca yesterday they have a pump already shipped today! My question to you is what kind of 12 volt pump are you running? I would like to build a spare just in case this happens again I can have a back up. Thanks ✌️
