DIY Portable (Budget) Propane Fire Pit under $55

We've ran into a few situations where we could not have a fire, even in designated campgrounds due to Commifornia's inability to reason. We started looking at propane firepits (that would be allowed) but have been put off by the price. We found this idea while browsing the interwebs and made a quick video. Total cost, with tax was $54.09. I'll try and update a run time from a 1lb bottle after our next trip. For now, there were 3, simple parts - Burner with hose, ammo can, and (optional) 1lb adapter, and less than 30 minutes time.

Made ir, used lava rock, very heavy, flame does not spread well. Gonna make a cover for burner to put smaller rocks on. Hopefully will spread flame better.
