At 7:01 you say it doesn’t matter which one goes where. It does matter! If you get your speakers out of phase you will have major sound quality and volume issues. The striped wire is the ( - ) and the solid color wire is ( + ). Otherwise great video.
Just an FYI, you can buy the speaker mounts from an aftermarket source so you don’t have to cut the factory ones, and they also have plugs available so no wire cutting is needed. All plug and play
I really just love all the little parts I am finding in my 2017 civic that are the same or really close to parts out of my 2007 civic, so far, speakers and dome controls as far as I can tell are identical...
Or, you can just buy vehicle specific mounting brackets for your speakers, instead of going thru the extra trouble of cutting the factory plastic brackets. Metra & Scosche make em. Can find em at most local shops and online.
@@mazdab220 Not cheaper by much tho 😄 what maybe $12 to $25 on a pair of vehicle specific mounting brackets? Free if you purchased your speakers off Crutchfield. If spending the extra expense of mounting brackets is too much, maybe not do car audio 🤷🏾♂️ Doing the most, work smarter not harder.
Genius I was worried I would have to open up the radio to do the line out converter, I didn't even consider just going to the rear speakers much easier. No sub sucks, I wish these had the stock subwoofer opening like the 10 speaker radios do.
How was the sound improvement with the aftermarket rear speakers ? Some say that the rear speakers sound signal come filtered out, so replacing the OEM's with aftermarket ones doesn't make a noticeable difference in sound quality ? Any insights on that ? Thank you.
How do you put these dam srs side curtain panels back on so easily, I’ve tried everything, different positions everything nothing works, I’ve tried smacking it in, like wth…. Help!
Why cant the car manufacturer just mount the speaker from the trunk and bottom of the back deck so that all you have to do is unbolt a couple screws and unplug the wire for quick speaker upgrades so that you dont have to remove any panels..or does it sound better mounted from the top of the back deck? Maybe a Theft deterrent? I need to upgrade speakers for my 2017 Accord Touring this weekend. Thought is was going to be simple :(
Whosoever They would rather you buy the higher trim level with the better stereo than upgrade it yourself... But all three of Honda’s stereo options in their 2018+ Accords are pretty sad (if you’re into good sound).
SO, everybody changes their speakers, but nobody says they're better than the factory ones. DO they sound better or the radio is not powerful enough to drive them correctly?
Dude, you’re amazing. I just have a question, would you please specify the LOC installation, what brand and how to connect? Will be any different if I don’t use LOC at all? What size are the tweeters (the front ones I mean)? Sorry for asking many questions but I believe you’re the one who got answers. Thanks again
Did the 6 - 3/4 fit in the rear speakers? I want to buys some kickers but was told that the back speakers are 5 - 1/2. Just wanna make sure they fit Also was wondering about the quality of the kicker speakers. Are they worth it?
ramirez1ulises in this car both the front and rear speakers are 6 3/4”. For the price I believe that the kickers are very good. You will definitely notice a difference from the factory speakers!
Did you or anyone have an issue with the sound cutting off after you added the rear speakers? I just replaced front speakers then about 2 weeks later the rear. But after I did the rear ones the soudcuts off if I turn it up past 20.
A great video till you mentioned that it doesn't matter which speaker wire goes into where! You'll have out-of-phase sound quality and lose clarity... You need to man up and correct this video! You've been told so many years ago about this by other viewers...

yeah anyone who says that it doesn't matter has no clue about installing.

I just see a white and a blue, where is the striped one? Also, which is the big positive and little negative?

can you get me a link for rear deck brackets?
Been on the hunt for a while now...
Did you ever get ahold of them?
Idk how your channel hasn't blown up. Your video content and how to are perfect and detailed
lazyboy12able thanks man! I need to upload more though. I have just been really busy.
Please tell me you went back and replaced the electrical tape with something else
Hyped up to replace all speakers in my 9th gen civic. I love watching and doing these types of installs, not sure why.

Well he's got no clue especially since he buys from best buy lol!

Kicker makes great subwoofers but I wouldn’t bother with their coaxial speakers.
I’m Ngl, I struggled so hard to put the rear pillar back on. How’d you make it look so easy? I just left it off because I broke the clips. 😅
Same bro same, the rear dam panel won’t go on I’ve tried everything the rear side curtain panels I need help
just get some tin snips and cut out 6x9 holes and put in polk audio 6x9s , speakers that handle 150 watts rms with little distortion.
I'm thinking about putting in 6x9 in my Civic rear deck. Have you tried this? Wondering if the sound is better than 6.75 on the stock head unit.
use alpine
@@lilsavagegod any quality 6x9 will bang with no worries when you put a high pass filter on them and send the bass to the subs.

The generation before like mine you just pop the grills off. Easy peasy.
Suckers. First they put some shit speakers in the vehicle and then they make the installation of after market sooooooooooooo tough.
Bc that just makes too much sense
With the rear deck lid off that would've been the perfect time for some sound deadening. Missed opportunity.
They are 6.5s for both the front and rear just incase you wanna pit the right stiff in your car... good video, just a little bit of wrong info.
This is true but for some reason when you order these speakers from crutch field they tell you that the 6.5s and the 6-3/4 both fit 👍
I thought I was tripping..every store keep telling me my rear deck speakers (2017 civic coupe) is 6.5
Does your back tray rattle ?? My brake light does I jab paper folded up between my window and brake light sides. Any idea ??
SO, everybody changes their speakers, but nobody says they're better than the factory ones. DO they sound better or the radio is not powerful enough to drive them correctly?
Wow! All that hassle for a speaker replacement damn!
All you had to do was remove the speaker grills. I just it! Also Crutchfield sells speaker adapters to match the aferemarket ones.
So you didn't remove all the extra shit?
The rear deck can stay assembled. The speaker grill is clipped on
Do you a any installation pictures or video for that? Thanks in advance.
What honda civic version is that? Thanks

Is it possible to install a center after market subwoofer on the rear back panel, on a 2018 10th Generation Honda Civic that doesn't have one.
Great video , thanks bro

Check my video on sub install: ruclips.net/video/25GJ4XJvMNo/видео.html I install the LOC on here. My tweeters are stock, but I believe they are 2".

rjm2010 is it possible to convert to 6x9s with an adapter?
How do you connect a converter to speakers ? Going to the head unit
Connect the converter behind the radio.buy one that has power n ground.tap into the rear speakers
Do you think it’s similar for the 2018?
is it absolutely necessary to remove the other 4 panels in order to remove the whole back panel? were they holding the back panel in place?
Screw it. I'll just pay someone to replace the speakers. Ha!
same for me. I'm too lazy - thats the one. Two: I'm not an expert, better leave it to someone who knows what he's doing
Sissy. lol
Or just rich! The install company in my town wants $350 to do it! That's more than the components I'm installing.
Damn car manufacturers are making it harder and harder to upgrade speakers 😂
@@arthuromendoza949 it's not that hard

Don't the accord 4 door have airbags in that rear side plastic you removed
Does kicker sound nice and bass -ee ?
Hey man, could you please do a demo, I wanna see the flex of those kickers, surely man... I'm planning to put 3 10s on my rear window aswell...
Good video! Shame on you Honda for making this a complex process. Anybody try 6x9s in the rear deck?
Yeah buddy

Did you change your amplifier as well? If not , Maybe your after market speakers are not getting the wattage they need.(just my 2 cents)
And the fabric amplifier is enough to move this speakers?
There is no factory amp on honda civic.

Not a diffrence at all cause honda civics have no factory amplifier.if u want to sound good you need to add a 4 channel amp

Should of threw a sub in the rear deck
I did that and i’m still trying to figure out how to stop the rattling lol.
