Hello. Nice video with great details. Just a question. If I’m getting this right I can install a link pipe on my hp4 and gain a couple of hp and a nice sound. And if I don’t tune it I’m not gonna damage the engine because the afr seems all right? // Jerry
You can either search online for a good used oem set or go with an abs plastic kit. One that we have seen recently that isn't horrible is Monster Fairings. They aren't oem and they are made from abs plastic but they fit pretty decent compared to most other knock off brands. 🤙
Great vid! I’m learning lots about my hp4. Mine is set up for track only. Has lots of aftermarket stuff. I wish I could find a dyno guy on west coast. Do you know a guy?
I wish I could help you for a recommendation but I do not know any over there except EDR. I believe they are in Oregon. And thank you for the compliment 💪💪
Drive train loss is usually around 13% or so from my calculations. Some are upwards to 15% depending on what type and condition of chain, sprockets, tires, etc. So if you take 202hp and take away the 13% you are left with 175.74whp approximately.
@jaker2731 every dyno reads differently too. It's good to get info from the dyno operator and get an idea as to how their dyno reads 👍 with that being said, you could have had a tune or just very good parts put on the bike 🤙
@provenpowercycles I bought it with 1500kms on it, dynoverks whilst up race bikes for Philip Island track melbourne dynoed it and said it made the most wheel hp out of any stock s1000rr they had done, but wasn't there so can't confirm it
Manufacturers aren't measuring to the wheel, they measure to the crank, or engine horsepower. We are measuring to the wheel. There is anywhere from 13-15% drive train loss on average 👍👍

Hey bud, do you know where I can get a fairing kit for my 2014. I bought a track only bike and want to convert back to street! Thanks! Eric

my hp4 pulled 202hp on the dyno but at the engine...what would that aprox. be at the wheel? my hp4 is bone stock, just got a tune

Why it's 170? This bike comes stock 193hp..

@@provenpowercycles thanks man.. Will disturb you again if i run into some problems with my Hp4 in future 😆
Info on the link pipe?
All we know is that it is an akrapovic link pipe. We didn't order it, the customer did and brought it to us 👍
