i know tons of comic fans are dying to see conquest and thragg, but i'm stoked that the show's going straight into the angstrom levy arc. the viltrumites only want the earth, but levy is laser focused on mark. he's a terrifying villain.😁
Hes talking about invincible since in other dimensions evil versions of our mark killed people his other variants loved.
The sad thing for me is that TV and movie producers often don't seem to give a crap about adapting the originally good and interesting multiverse stories from comics in a good and faithful way and instead seem hell-bent on adapting them as terribly as they possibly can which, leads some people to think that multiverses in general are bad, which I can't really agree with, if the people adapting them only gave a crap. So far this story has been adapted pretty faithfully. I personally never really was confused with the other dimensions while reading the comic but that might be sth that could happen when people will watch it.
For a guy named Invincible, Mark gets his ass kicked A LOT!!!
I really liked this season opener. I know there are some that have had it with the whole multiverse thing, but I think this was done well. Also, I liked the fact that we slipped between them without it being obvious. For example, I didn't even realize that Donald should have been dead until the 3rd time I saw him because another reactor pointed it out. So either Donald was cloned behind the scenes, or that took place on a very similar but different earth. Maybe ALL the stuff with the Guardians did. I have a hypothesis that every time we hear someone say the name "Invincible", we're in a different dimension. And the ONLY time in the entire episode we're in "our" dimension is near the end when we get the title card. But I haven't re-watched carefully in order to figure out if that's really true.

I realized that about Donald too! Storylines across multiple timelines at once??? I'm going to need help. 😩
So glad this show is back ! At the same time, as someone who read the comics after I watched the show.... there's a lot of plotlines I hope get very massively rewritten, so my dread for this season isn't the unknown but the potential of seeing some shit go down un-edited lol
I would say don't get too caught up on the multi-verse dynamics- yes, they are important for this storyline, but they never got too complex in the comics and I don't see the show trying to change that. I believe if you watch with subtitles as well, the characters' names have their dimension number attached to them (at least the Angstrom's) so if you need an extra hand on keeping things in track, there is that.
I am curious, which story lines would you like to have a rewrite?
@@firecat4529 I dislike how pretty much everything related to Thraxa was handled, and as far as my prediction goes for how this season is going to go, I think the beginning of that is going to be our ep 4 cliffhanger before they take the mid season break.

But to try and be vague about it- I didn't find a lot of the things that happened there to be a sign of character growth and am sceptical of the narrative playing it off that way again- not to mention the new character that comes out of it isn't one I like
