Good luck and keep learning. The electrical industry is constanting changing and you have to keep up or you will get left behind. Just remember a switch is a switch, realys, inputs, outputs are all just switches.
Keep up the great enthusiasm! We need more excited and willing people in the electrical field and you for sure have that. Im about to turn 24 and i have my journeymans license and best advice i can give is what you already said, being a sponge and soaking up knowledge, you absolutely sound like you got the drive and work ethic. Congrats and keep up the great work, hoping to see big things from you in the future!
I really appreciate it Brian! Congratulations to you Brother on getting your Journeyman’s License, One day I’ll get there I have a long journey ahead.. Thanks for the Advice & Support..🙏🏽
I Appreciate it Stevie! That’s amazing my man, Huge accomplishment making it through your first year, Can’t wait until I make it to my first year. Glad you’re enjoying everything! Thanks for the support Brother!🙏🏽
How’s apprentice pay ? I’m looking into switching careers those first few years, idk if I’ll make it if I’m making lower pay than what I’m making now. Im barley getting by
What’s up Brandon! To be honest with the pay is rough starting off with you not having any experience, it all depends on where you live I’ve seen 14-20$ dollars an hour for an apprentice. Also if this career is long term this will be the least you’ll making in your electrical career.. I guess it just depends on how you look at it.. Hope this helps!👍🏽
Well for me I really just went and started applying to electrical jobs, after about a month went by I received a call for an interview I explained to them I didn’t have any experience & they hired me on the spot and told me sometimes it’s better to train someone with a blank slate then someone with a lot if experience.. Let me know how it’s goes!👍🏽
Appreciate it Robert, To be honest not really this was my first time working in a field like this, I came from retail. But honestly I think if you’re paying attention and trying to understand what’s going on I think it’ll come with time.. Im alot better & confident than when I first started..
@@TheApprenticeToJourneyman Yeah I'm in the same boat now that you were, haven't turned too many wrenches in my life. Thanks for the advice, hopefully I can pick it up like you did. Keep up the hard work man, I'll keep watching

3 months in and they’re asking you to better your leadership skills🤔 that sounds stupid.
I questioned it too when they expressed that to me, but the more we talked the more I understand we’re they were coming from..👍🏽
Congrats!
Thank you Brother!🙏🏽
Great video man, were you mechanically minded before your apprenticeship? Just wondering how big a factor it is in your learning experience
