  • Sometimes when we're bass fishing, our baits and presentation just need a little kick to get things going. Especially on those tough days, anglers need all the help they can get. I found a cheap and easy method to get those bass to commit and bite hard all day long with just a few drops of a common extract that anyone can get from their local stores for just a few dollars! It makes summer bass fishing so much easier! #fishing #bassfishing #fishingtips

Great video man!!! I remember thinking that same thing about why spray each bait individually. I started spraying my attractant into the bag (usually Culprits) back in the early 90s and it's always made a big difference. That was when Bang had a sweet smell to it. It worked too, don't know why they changed their formula.

One of my favorite bass baits is a strip of bacon cut in half longways and then again crossways, for 1/4 size pieces, which I then soak in the soybean oil from a can of sardines. Eat the sardines, or throw them in the water if I am catfishing. I rig the bacon like a texas worm, usually, and fish it the same way. Works great for flounder, too. Channel cats, as well. It is truly a universal bait for shallow water, salt or fresh. The bacon alone is good, but soaking in sardine juice makes it better. I should probably try adding anise but though I have heard of it, never tried it. WD40 works okay or doesn't work at all. Not consistent.
The bacon strip lasts longer if you let it dry in the sun for a day or two. The scent probably improves, too.

🤔 interesting.. I'll certainly give it a try, and I'll share a tip with you as well. I guess the bacon looks like a worm also? Raw, not cooked I assume? My all-time favorite bait from the fridge since I've been 6 or 7 years old is HOTDOGS, thanks to my Grandma 😊... I've caught some REALLY NICE largemouth, catfish, and bluegills with any type of hotdogs, I'd say the cheaper the better.

I made the mistake of spraying my soft plastic baits while they were still in the bag that they came in and then I'd just let them sit in the bag until my next fishing trip.
It works great on my plastisol soft plastic baits but when I did this with my ElaZtech ned-rig baits the scent spray turned into an adhesive of sorts.
If I cast those baits a bit too far and they happened to hit anything above water, they stuck to whatever surface they happened to hit.
When I tried skipping those particular scent-sprayed baits under the bridges crossing the waters I was fishing, if I happened to hit one of the vertical bridge supports, those ElaZtech baits would just stick. I mean they would stick like an arrow being shot into a bale of hay.
