My guess is that 85% of the people at the picnic had never heard this piece. "From the Beginning" is a superb introduction to ELP for anyone under 40 who'd never heard of them.

A few days ago the Neighbourhood Picnic Band appeared on my YT front page. I thought what the hell and ignored it. Then it appeared again so I listened and watched, now I am hooked. Looks like the band only existed for a short spell in 2015. They did great justice to all the music that they played. I have subscribed, but sad that they don't seem to be performing now.

You guys must live in a magical neighborhood! That was pretty damned near the best cover I've ever heard of "From the Beginning" . Awesome is a term that is too often used and seems to have lost any weight it used to carry, so all I can say is that upon listening to it again, a couple of times, it is the best cover, you guys did a terrific job. More ribs and tater salad for everyone. Thanks.

incredible fellas...love this tune and played it with a few cover bands with quality players. I play keyboards (started in mid 70s) and very impressed with Doug Orlando's playing and authentic detail of the patches he is using. I just wish I lived near enough to bring a shit load of bbq chicken or beef kabobs to the next picnic!
Great rendition of a classic song. Everyone did their parts well. Lots of little areas in this song where mistakes could have been made. You've all obviously practiced it alot. Nice job.
