Such a great performance, to see the three of them having so much fun with it.
I am still loving this trio today. Talented musicians who take risks are rare today.
WOW!! You listened to ELP as a teenager?!! I knew not a single girl who listened to ELP. You're part of a rare breed of Ladies. Kudos!
@@harrychapin808 Really? One of my favorite songs is "Closer to Believing" surely a song that appeals more to women, no?
I did too, at age 17. My boyfriend introduced me to ELP. The relationship didn't last, but my love for the music did, to this day. I'm a keyboardist myself and Keith Emerson was/is one of my all time idols. So sad that he passed. I doubt that there will ever be another band like ELP. They were in a class by themselves.
@@Carol120454 I agree! I am glad to hear that you are a musician. I am a singer/songwriter with two channels on RUclips. I wouldn't be one today if it was not for groups like ELP. There is nothing better than inspired musicianship. I am sure you are a wonderful keyboard player. All the best to you!
Think about how fortunate we are to have all of our old favorites not just recorded in their own voices and playing the music they wrote themselves (unlike previous generations), but also on film/video so we can not only hear them, but see them whenever we want.
If they knew then what we know now, no one would have ever played a concert without a film crew recording it, and a sound crew recording it for posterity.
OMG what talent, Take a Pebble vocals and artistry are unbelievable... thank you EPL and youtube for letting me enjoy!
All of this in their 20s... What a musicians...❤️
They were an awesome and talented band!!!!!
Greg Lake had a hauntingly beautiful voice and spirit. There will never be another like him.🌹🥀
ELP were musical geniuses. Keith, Greg and Carl were a fabulous trio bar none.
Magnificent !
I said it b4 n I'll say it again;
3 of the greatest musicians of all time n all n the same band !
Makes me shiver watching this video! omg... how those great musicians end up.
Just being able to listen to their albums and hear the quality of their music, more than satisfying
This was an absolute joy to watch
The first generation of prog super groups. Probably the best of them all. What a band.
So far ahead of their time. Such a haunting song.
Best bass playing I've heard Greg do (and I've heard a lot of good playing by him).
Hearing this back in high school, early 70S was a pivotal moment in my life. 3 min. pop songs on am radio just were not going to cut it any more........
Just WOW about ELP! An amazing group of musicians!
My goodness, what a song, what a voice what a music .....😎😎😎😎
Siiii. Muy buenos músicos todos ellos.
4:51 Lake looks like he was a real character in those days. His mischievous grin was infectious.
I call them the 3 wise men come bearing gifts each in their own way 👍💪😉
