I believe is coming from either the balance shaft assembly or a rod bearing...the funny thing is that it sounds like this when is cold..once is warm..sounds way better...still there but not noticeable..like when the ngine is cold..this is using 5w20 Mobil syn oil
Haven't done anything to it..there some engine oil that work better than otherd..I used 5w30 this summer and sounded better when it was hot.. but can still hear it..now I believe this knocking noise could be coming the balance shaft assembly.which is attached to the oil pump..mine still running strong..close to 200k..when I took the video it had around 150k..I might attempt to fix it, sometime.

Thanks.. Mine is at 228K now.. noise started around 223K... Runs fine, but its bothersome and I fear it's going to quit :-(
@@tjrick7745 what oil you have been using..and is the noise louder when is cold or hot?
