Just want to say thank you so much for the video. I just replaced the alternator on my 2005 Honda element and it took me about two hours, but this is me never having to install an alternator in my life. You made it simple for an average joe like me
Great video! About to go try this out now. As for what videos I’d like to see: Anything Honda Element related. Elements are one of my favorite vehicles of all time and videos like this one save people hundreds of dollars on mechanic costs. Keep up the good work!
Followed your video and was and easy job. There was a clip on the a/c fan that holds a wire that was difficult to remove due to lack of space but otherwise easy. Took me 2 hours start to finish.
Thank you for showing this procedure! I have to replace the alternator on my '05 CR-V which is basically the exact same process as the Element. I also have a leaky power steering pump as well so I need to get a reseal kit for that.
Thank you for this!!! First time ever working on a car and it wasn’t so bad thanks to you!!! I did however accidentally remove the hose to the power steering and now it’s really whining. Any advice on how to fix it?

@@re4283081 thanks! I’d love to make more but typically my element doesn’t break often enough to make videos 😭
Always love Element content!

@@Pranawood just needs to be filled back up with power steering fluid!
Gah! Thank you so much. Sorry to waste your time with idiotic questions but i guess this back and forth helps the channel anyway! 😝
@@Pranawood it’s no stress! I help when i can!
Thanks brother… I may be doing this soon!
Hope this helps! Would also be easier to pull the power steering pump out of the way before the fan! Thought about that after i made the video haha
Appreciate it boss man.
@@thebspottv1 no problem!
great diy video!
Thxxxx🖤
Was it making a whining noise before it went out ?
nah, the battery light would flicker though. normally a wining noise is the power steering pump. check your fluid level
Yes I was hearing a whining sound before it shut down. Good indicator for others to keep your ears open to.
Great Video. Thanks.
No problem! Hope it helps!
Hey, cool video. What alternator did you get? I'm in the same boat, my alternator just gave out.
I just got the remanufactured one from advance auto with a limited lifetime warranty
Anotha one 🔥🔥🔥
Yes sirrrrr!!
10mm life
All the 10mms haha
Confused on why you took out the power steering pump
@@erickchurch5390 2 bolts to make it easier to see what I’m working on, I’ll take that trade any day! Also helps with getting the alternator out
Can you get away without taking out the fan?
I don’t think so. The fan is also super easy to remove.
Does anybody no part number of the alternator I have a 2010 element
it depends where you go. if you go yo any parts store they can give you part numbers. there are different brands with different part numbers
I did on mine still not charging
Is the battery dead?
