I ended up living there for three years and my life ever since has been a series of meanderings around the world. I sometimes think of what my life would have been like if these three had never come into it. I'm sure many others have similar stories to tell. They will never be truly replaced.

Three of the most amazing TV hosts this world can imagine. The hilarity, humility, and everything in between. Thank you gentlemen for years of continued entertainment throughout the years!
It's crazy to realize I've watched them ever since I was a kid. More than 15 years of adventures together, lifting me up in the saddest of times. Thank you so much for everything
Some amazing comments here ❤. These three have been a massive part of childhood and into adulthood. Thank you for the memories Jeremy, James and Richard. We'll miss you.
We should be thanking them. Thank you Jeremy, James and Richard for bringing a whole generation 22 years of pure entertainment in the motoring world. Thank you for making motoring genuinely interesting and fun. Thank you for all the laughs, tears and emotions you brought us over the last 2 decades. National Treasures, the lot of you
1:33 is what got me. A teen back then, I remember watching Top Gear and (as most of us I imagine) was waiting for the challenges they had. And although I LOVED the specials that started happening I'll never forget the early challenges with the limited budget (Coupes, Porsches, Italian Supercars to name a few). It's like I was growing up along with the show. Thanks for everything, guys!
These three have been a huge part of my life for more than half of it, I'm so sad it's all over but so thankful to have lived through it! Nothing will ever compare to the feeling of excitement waiting on a Sunday night for the latest episode of the legendary trio and their antics! Thankyou, from the bottom of my heart, thankyou!
The ending of those 3 after 22 years, actually brought me to tears, grown up watching the 3 of them on TV from Top Gear n then onto the Grand Tour, really was an upsetting one 😢😢
So, they're no more. It's done. Years of teenage and adult memories are over. I just watched the last episode today because I wanted to see It when I had enough time and energy to savour all the feelings. I watched It at my mom's house, sitting at my desktop PC where I used to spend evenings watching shows so I guess the end for me was just like for them: where It all began. Thank you for everything.
It’s like loosing your favourite chair, you don’t realise how much you’re going to miss it until it’s gone. I watched this show, like many of you I am sure, since its inception, it’s see my daughter born and my son, who is just as much a fan as I am now. I know all things have to come to an end,but it still leaves me hollow. It’s a chemistry that won’t be easily replicated, they shouldn’t work, but they just do. Many many thanks guys for the memories you were one of a kind.
When Jezza unplugged his mic, and that sound it made marking the end, then just silence before the song kicks in. I guess you could say it brings a whole new meaning to "pulling the plug" on something. Thank you, Hammond, Jezza and May for all the laughs you've brought, and bringing us on the adventure of a lifetime. That is something we will never forget.
I cried when I watched this last weekend. The music choices were perfect and what a way to end it at the spot where it all started. Thank you Jeremy, Richard and James for years of entertainment!
Absolutely epic on every level. Went out at the top of their game. Like losing an actual friend. Hit me right in the gut. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything guys! Your show meant more to me than words can say - truly.
the mic being unplugged is just so final. I enjoyed the fantastic motoring entertainment for all these years and sad to say goodbye, it has been fun and thank you.
I didn’t expect to cry but watching it with my dad and sharing that moment made me really reflect on all the times me and him had spent watching these 3 idiots together and how much those memories mean to me it’s the first time I’ve ever cried at tv show
I watched it on Friday like many did. I keep watching this and it genuinely upsets me. I always felt great knowing these chaps were out there together. Going miss their humour and friendship. But I understand these chaps took it as far as possible. As Jeremy says " the younger won't experience these cars, EV are shit "... ❤. They rearly did bring their friendship and humour into our homes.. 😢...
I don't recall a show that has been more impact full on my life. I watch reruns of top gear and GT over and over. It's truly like losing a best friend.
When Brothers in Arms started playing, I started to tear up. What a perfect song. These three had done so much in the last 22 years. And when they recreated and showed flashbacks of their first ever journey to Botswana, I was weeping. I feel like I've lost a part of me. Like I've lost a dear friend. In all these years I've followed and watched these three, I knew this day would come. I just didn't know how heartbreaking it would actually be. Thank you, Jeremy, James, and Richard. You have brought so much joy into so many people's lives. Thank you so much.
The perfect ending, and the saying that grief is the price of love was never truer. People say you can't love someone you don't know, but it's not true. I loved them like old friends, and life won't be the same again. And the grief isn't just because they've gone, it's for the realisation that my youth has gone with them. Farewell old friends, and thanks for the memories ...
I still can't bring myself to watch this. Our blended family came together over these three a long time ago and I can't believe it's over. But thanks gents. God bless.
I never predicted how hard it was going to hit, and I will never. Since I was four in 2009 I've been watching TG and later TGT, the trio always there but not realising I had internalised them as a part of my person. Been with me through everything, and the nostalgia is filling the recesses of my mind right now. I feel like I've lost three friends. This really is the last one. Thank you for everything❤
this ending had me bawling my eyes out because my dad introduced me to these guys about 9 years ago and i’ve been watching them ever since. it really feels like i’m saying goodbye to 3 of my best friends. this last special was perfect. thank you jeremy, richard and james. thank you for everything

What a trip down memory lane this finale was. Thank you Jezza , Hamster and Captain Slow for your incredible service to the motoring world all these decades and for shaping the minds of so many young car enthusiasts like us.
We were so blessed to get 22 years of exceptional motoring television. They inspired me to take a few road trips of my own around the world. I'm strongly considering a pilgrimage to that tree on Kubu Island in Botswana.
I honestly cried during this scene. I was filled with such emotion, it felt like losing 3 of my best mates over a course of 22 years. These people were my childhood. From the start of they're career in Top Gear, to the end of their career in The Grand Tour. Now there's no more whacky adventures, no more "HAMMOND!" And no more Captain Slow. You made childhoods, chaps. And i thank you for the fond memories we made on the way.
Not even slightly ashamed to admit I fully cried watching this. I had basically 0 friends the whole way through school but always found comfort and laughter watching these 3 legends provide entertainment for so many as I’d rewatch episodes and specials over and over never getting bored. Really don’t want to accept that they’re done but do wish to thank them from the bottom of my heart for what they did for me and so many others. Congratulations on the incredible legacy you’ll have forever Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May
We grew up watching them. They were our friends and teachers. They got us into cars. We learned so much and now its just a beautiful memory. So long old friends it has been an honor❤
It truely makes me sad to see them go, top gear and grand tour were my childhood and I will say I cried at the end. So truely from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the laughs, entertainment, and happiness you brought us.
My father loved these guys, the same year the show ends my dad passed away, guess it would not be the same to watch without him anymore, thanks for all the special moments boys I will always treasure then along with my dad memories.
Just watched final Grand Tour in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼and Botswana 🇧🇼to be honest quite emotional thank for all the laughs over 22 years Jeremy Richard and James and all the team who made the program happen!
I've been watching TG then GT since i was 2 years old and whenever they went on one of their adventures it never felt like we were watching on TV it always felt like we were all right there with them
when i was 9 years old i found the botswana special on a rerun by Dave on TV. it got me not only into the trio, but into cars in general. i recorded that episode and i spent the 1 hour of telly time my mother gave me a day just watching that over and over. i fell in love with top gear ever since, and im confident i can name what i was doing at each special and challenge i watched. top gear isnt just a tv programme about cars (although it is a bloody good one), but for me and so many others its a time capsule of memories, and i felt as emotional as jeremy when i saw the restored mercedes and lancia. thank you, top gear, and goodbye
Wondered how they would end it and I couldn’t imagine a better way than Jeremy unplugging his mic and the three of them having a final on camera moment. Jeremy, Richard and James thank you for being a constant source of joy, happiness and laughter for the last 20 odd years. It won’t be the same without you working together
The three of you made something so special and unique over the years. It will never be done again. Thank you for the excitement you gave us, for the laughters you shared with us and for making us love petrol cars so much. I cried on that last scene, remembering all the good times I had with the three of you all over the world. From the bottom of my heart : thank you , farewell and godspeed, my friends.
It was never only about the cars, but exceptional camera work and imagery of such beauty from around the world. Such a great closing episode that is both celebratory and mournful at the same time.
What I love about this ending is it's not just these three gents. You see them all high fiving and shaking hands and hugging with the team. Everyone who was filming, First aiders, Security, Mechanics, and so much more. They were there in the films with them. When they needed help putting up the signs on the trains in India, when they were playing football, when they used the director to take the keys out of the RV, In Berma they were partying with them in the jungle. In the first special when they were all just chilling and chatting around the fire When Clarkson left the BBC those men and woman followed. They weren't just workers to these men. They were friends following them along this adventure. So let us not just be thankful that these three men gave us a passion for anything with an engine Let us also thank all of these incredible men and women who made it possible to watch and enjoy
Damn, looking back at my life, these three blokes have always been a part of it. And by seeing how many actually do get choked up by this ending, it really shows how many feels the same. Thank you team Top Gear! Thank you for everything.

I'm sure the fans of the Three Stooges felt the same way about them during the time.
I grew up watching these guys, and it's helped push me into a becoming an enthusiasts then a mechanic.. these guys helped not only people in the UK but globally find an appreciation of cars everywhere, and helped some of us create a career with cars.
Thank you
3:02. Tears. Just a stream of tears. Thank you gents. You were awesome.
The greatest show ever. Thank you all for the laughs and memories. Love (from a German) and see you in heaven…
I saw the Vietnam special when I was at school and it changed the way I saw the world. I ended up living there for three years and my life ever since has been a series of meanderings around the world. I sometimes think of what my life would have been like if these three had never come into it. I'm sure many others have similar stories to tell. They will never be truly replaced.
same for me but in a different way, they made fall in love with cars and adventures, and now I love my career as a Bmw Genius. they literally changed my life
Three of the most amazing TV hosts this world can imagine. The hilarity, humility, and everything in between. Thank you gentlemen for years of continued entertainment throughout the years!
Can we also appreciate the music selection from their staff? They really know how to pick 'em.
And on that bombshell... goodbye
Perfect!
Back to the studio…
@@Ollie_skate500for the last time. 😢
4:38 The emotion on Richard's face... he looks like he's about to burst into tears
From Russia with love. I grew up with you guys. Amazing humans you are. You will be missed.😢
This was it, the End of the Road… it’s been one hell of a ride. Thanks lads
I discovered the original Top Gear in reruns on BBC. Helped to keep me sane. Thank you for a great show.
National Treasures, the lot of you
Once Brothers in Arms kicked in I was crying like a little girl.
The Trio was a massive part of my life. I'm gonna miss them soooooo freakin much
My sweet lord by George Harrison is the song
@@bigbuppy17 they're talking about the first song while when they are first rocking up to the island and Clarkson is thanking everyone for watching.
love this moment so much. will always hold it dear. they've been doing this nearly as long as i've been alive. i will miss them.
Thank you for everything.
you three meant more to me than my parents growing up, now I love my career in automotive and it's all thanks to you. love you
It’s like loosing your favourite chair, you don’t realise how much you’re going to miss it until it’s gone.
This comment is underrated.
This is the most hurt I've ever felt in my life.
Thank you for everything, all the entertainment since I was a baby. I'll miss you three.
the mic being unplugged is just so final. I enjoyed the fantastic motoring entertainment for all these years and sad to say goodbye, it has been fun and thank you.
4:23 THEY DONE IT!! THEY DONE THE PAUL WALKER TURN 😭😭😭😭i am so gonna miss this three
I didn’t expect to cry but watching it with my dad and sharing that moment made me really reflect on all the times me and him had spent watching these 3 idiots together and how much those memories mean to me it’s the first time I’ve ever cried at tv show
I watched it on Friday like many did.
What a fantastic episode to finish a 22 year-old journey. Thank you...
Watched these guy’s for most of my life. As a 37 year old man now. Thank you. 💪💪 thanks from the Netherlands.
Thanks for many funny hours in the last 22 years. My daughter (10) has seen every episode from TopGear and Grand Tour, she is a big fan from these three guys.
She was very sad that this era ends now.
Thanks a lot!!! See you at the end of the Road
Phenomenal show that many of us grew up with. A show many of us will both miss and cherish.
4:25
The trio's missing man formation.
Thanks y'all.
Thank you for brightening up my (and many others) childhood.
.... I cry ...Thanks for All !!!!!!!!!!! LEGENDS !!!!!!! Big Thanks from Slovakia
1:26 is when it hit...
makes you realise how far we have all come 17 years ago between those episodes 2007 - 2024
I've been watching TG then GT since i was 2 years old and whenever they went on one of their adventures it never felt like we were watching on TV it always felt like we were all right there with them
The editing kills me. Good job guys, and thanks for every thing. I love you
when i was 9 years old i found the botswana special on a rerun by Dave on TV. it got me not only into the trio, but into cars in general. i recorded that episode and i spent the 1 hour of telly time my mother gave me a day just watching that over and over. i fell in love with top gear ever since, and im confident i can name what i was doing at each special and challenge i watched. top gear isnt just a tv programme about cars (although it is a bloody good one), but for me and so many others its a time capsule of memories, and i felt as emotional as jeremy when i saw the restored mercedes and lancia. thank you, top gear, and goodbye
Wife and I were tears , thank you for bringing joy, laughter and sometimes just plain silliness to a sometimes crazy world with no sense of humor
What a legendary trio - so many memories of great moments from my childhood
The three of you made something so special and unique over the years. It will never be done again. Thank you for the excitement you gave us, for the laughters you shared with us and for making us love petrol cars so much. I cried on that last scene, remembering all the good times I had with the three of you all over the world. From the bottom of my heart : thank you , farewell and godspeed, my friends.
And on that Bombshell… it is time to end, thank you very much for watching, take care… farewell.
thanks a lot guys. you three made me fall in love with cars I didn't like or never heard about. thanks for the laughter and every thing.
In the first special when they were all just chilling and chatting around the fire
When Clarkson left the BBC those men and woman followed. They weren't just workers to these men. They were friends following them along this adventure.
So let us not just be thankful that these three men gave us a passion for anything with an engine
Let us also thank all of these incredible men and women who made it possible to watch and enjoy
Damn, looking back at my life, these three blokes have always been a part of it. And by seeing how many actually do get choked up by this ending, it really shows how many feels the same.
Thank you team Top Gear! Thank you for everything.
