You forgot to mention my favorite Dreadnought. The Blood Angels Librarian Dreadnought. What's more grimdark then a near dead psyker locked in a iron box and sent back out to hunt down heresy with a giant glaive?
@@cheesybarbarian2867 I mean yes those are cool, just to me personally the Titans always felt like this whole other thing that was part of the world and the lore. They almost feel otherworldly if you understand that. Still they are quintessential grimdark no doubt as well
(Subjective) but Centurions, really? - while the chaos on tracks rightly pointed out can’t reach the ground, the centurions look liked they pooped in their pants in a blizzard and now they can’t move at all. Thus in one model it’s okay to have armor in armor, while in another it’s not?!?
They couldn't walk without tripping over their own feet or any obstacle whatsoever and the assault variant are modelled without helmets. They put armour on their armour for double protection and STILL don't wear helmets? Also, those chest mounted weapons are a liability. If anything goes wrong with them they would blow your torso into soup. Also, aiming your torso instead of your arms to hit targets sounds counter-intuitive and needlessly difficult. It's also another example of space marine units having twice as many guns welded to their models as if someone covered them in glue and rolled them through their bits box. The Chibi gunships like the Stormtalon are an excellent example of this design. I don't want this post to be overly negative so I'll rattle off a few kits that I think look awesome. The Deff Dread kit has lots of options, is easy and fun to build and in my opinion loos cool. I love the Imperial Knight, it's a welcome update of an ancient series of models so old I barely remember them. Knights dominate the game now and it's hard to remember a time before when people would try to kitbash their own out of Defiler parts. The model is so impressive it killed most of those conversions dead overnight. I also love most of the Eldar Aspect Warriors and wraith constructs and the entire Adeptus Mechanicus range. There is so much delightfully mad weirdness in there. Overall GW do an amazing job and it's only a handful of their models nowadays that I have any issue with.
Yeah agreed Centurions are just so bad when I first seen them I assumed they were from some knock off game. Then I was told they were an actual Space Marine unit I slapped my head. Seriously how can you make the rest of the army look so good and yet make these so bad? I will never get it.
Centurions are actually my least favourite model from the marine faction, they look like they can barely walk so they shuffle down the battlefield, also they would never get to fire that overwatch since ranged weapons destroy them easily xD My fave model is probably the forgeworld great unclean one or if it cant be forgeworld then the gobbapalooza models xD

While building my Space wolves pack I went and got a copy of each of the 3rd party bits and bodies I could find. So many unique sculpts. GW could extend so much, and not just expensive Forgeworld models.
Don't despair over invictors, it is where they put the little upstart marines that are barely a century old. The dreads for me were always about preserving the knowledge and experience of veterans, or particularly talented marines. Can't replace that.
My favorite is the Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun For my least favorite I want to say the metal Deffkopta they're still selling, but while it's bad there's just a little bit of charm to it for me (still want a new one though)
I disagree with your Invictus take, the value of the dreadnought isn't "Now we can put guys in big metal boxes" because you could already put a guy in a tank for basically the same effect. The value in them is being able to preserve a warrior with incredibly rare genetic modifications and decades, possibly centuries, of battle experience instead of letting them die. There already were non-dreadnought walkers before the Invictus, the Imperial Guard sentinels, it makes sense that space marines would have access to a bigger walker than what the guard has because that 3+ ballistic and melee skill is pretty useful.
Sentinels are the models that got me into 40K. All those years ago, two decades plus, I saw one in my Dad's white Dwarf and I was hooked. Immediately hooked. Him and my mum had seperated so I was in Holland with him at the time and had a bit of spending money. Went to a nearby shop that sold 40K and got one. Spent ages building it, literally an hour or so just thinking of how to pose it. All these years later, I've still got it. On the top layer of a glass cabinet with all my centre piece models, on its own wooden plinth and a little hand painted 'First' on the plinth. It's got a Warhound on one side and a trio of Knight variants on the other with some of my best painted models in front. But there, on its own little space, very poorly painted is the model that started it all. My entire journey started with that Sentinel.

Honestly, the Serberys Raiders are the absolute best. Horse archers were historically the mose OP PLZ NERF unit for the longest time in history. And here we have the closest equivalent! How cool is that!
The gray knight baby carrier has an upgrade kit to change it...a new head and rounded out chest plate....also if ya ain't got a problem with them centurion devastaters then why do dreadknights get the stick?
When the plastic knights came out I did a conversion using a Lord of Skulls torso like the model Forgeworld later made. Then I used the track sections I had left over to make Chaos squat vehicles. I think the Grey Knights dreadknight was GW's attempt to copy the APU from the Matrix movies. My least favourite models have to be the Imperial Guard Chimera and Leman Russ based vehicles simply because the models they replaced were better. I spent a fortune on eBay building up a stockpile of the older ones.
Well a question for your dreadnought question. Why put a space marine in a giant metal suit once when you can do it twice? First guy in the suit goes down? No worries get the shovel out, slap him in a dreadnought, hose out the mech suit thing and bring in the next guy. Hey presto you just turned one space marine into two
Only think I think you should reconsider is the wulfen, because just like with the centurions if you put in a little work to kitbash(mainly replacing the chest with actual space marine armor and giving them blood claw / grey hunter heads they can actually look pretty damn intimidating
I like Rifleman Dreads (either dual ACs or LCs, doesn't matter). Something about "one volley at the time removal unit". Also, it comes from Mechwarrior/Battletech, and both energy and bullet variants are technically canon. My top 5 (in no particular order) would be: Cawl (A LOT of details) Redemptor (big, chunky robot) ORK BOYZ (of all kinds, they're pretty much same design with different weapons) Killa Kans/Venerable dreads (for variety of parts You get) Corvus Blackstar (I may change opinion when I'll get hands on one)
My favourite is either the Rockstar Noisemarine or the Ork Killakommando. Leastfavourite is probably any of the Ork planes or racing karts, because they look all the bloody same.
I love the part you said: I love Dreadnoughts............................. i have 8, mi personal fav model is and was the landraider because: i love tanks, i love ww1 tanks, and i love scify tanks: So boooom here you have the Lando ( yep the guardsman tanks are like ww1..........) but they are moore like retro dieselpunk ww1 tanks, and the lando is a perfect mix in my opinion between space and ww1 tonk. Oh and i love Dreads too, surprisingly i love older and FW ones than primaris Dread ( because for me looks more like tau if u chop away the aquila) but that,s my humble opinion too. Pd i love your vids and your cheerful energy when you talk about 40k.
I actually really like the Lord of Skulls model. It looks menacing on the table top. Since 40k already has its ludacris dail turned up to 11 I don't mind it. Let's be honest here, 80% of the 40k universe is over the top, but that's why we like it soooo much. I kinda agree with the rest of your list here. Having said that, why isn't the special edition Noice Marine on your best list?
I remember when that kit came out, and my and my wargaming friends saw it and we had to laugh SO hard. Until one of my buddies went "PENIS CANNON" and we had to laugh even harder. I LOVE the idea of the model, the huge tanks on the back are awesome, but the front part could and should've been done better (in my opinion of course, if you love it, more power to you ^^ )
Least favourite: Stormcast line: Busy yet insanely boring designs, people have converted them to look better, but the best ones always end up using Bretonnian bits; a line that was a thousand times better. Overlords line: Every time I see them I think of Reginald Pikedevant's steampunk song, but with dwarf spac- diver marines. Those sea-elves' line: Lamer Dark Elves, but underwater, largely blind and smelling even more of fish. Primaris line: Not even close to being as cool as regular marines, the tacticool design some of them went for missed the cool part, most of their vehicles are just a dumber or hover variant of Marine vehicles, and their proportions are wrong. Favourite: Bretonnian Knight of the realm: I am a sucker for Knights and Great helms, and WD292's Crusader army was fantastic! Imperial Guard Line: I don't think there is a Guard model that I dislike, my favourite 40k army since Winter Assault. As for Heroes and Lords: Vardek Crom, The Light of Eltharion, current Wight Kings, Fantasy Archaon, and Lord on Daemonic Mount.
I want a Knight. But I also have a cell phone, electric, and internet bill to worry about every month. And yes, Sentinels are awesome. Affordable, easy to build, and so many ways to customize them. I want more of them.

In defense of the Nemesis Dreadknight and Invictor Warsuit, both are actually conceptually sound, despite the mostly uninformed arguments against them. If you actually read the lore behind them, the point for dreadknights is that they are frames for duelling greater daemons, which is actually kickass, they're not meant to be heavily armoured like an imperial knight or dreadnought as they are meant to be faster and more flexible, that's why it's more of a frame with an armoured pilot. Also if you look closer on the model, his feet aren't dangling, they're standing on supports as his movements are linked to the rest of the suit, kind of like the pacific rim jaegers but on a smaller scale. As for the invictor warsuit, they don't invalidate dreadnoughts at all, nor are they dreadnoughts in any way, this is a misconception often peddled by grogs who claim to care about the sanctity of the lore without actually reading the new stuff or being aware of what they're actually complaining about. The point of invictors are they are meant to be lighter and faster, used for recon and stealth, which is why they're armed with much lighter weapons than dreadnoughts. People often argue "how can a combat walker be stealthy" and this is another misconception, often by people who've played too many video games or RPGs and think stealth is purely about crouch walking everywhere or being invisible. An invictor is stealthy in the same way that something like an SR71 Blackbird is stealthy, in that stealth on a larger scale is more about avoiding detection from radar systems and using camouflage than purely avoiding detection from people. Basically there's no reason why invictors would replace dreadnoughts, as placing heavy guns on it would defeat it's own purpose, and any attempt to do so would be seen as reinventing the wheel or trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
Grey Knights, "why put on terminator armour then jump inside a robot?" Centurions, "What's cooler than a guy in power armour jumping inside a mech?!" *Brain audibly hurts
For me it is. Worst: 1) Space wolf thunderwolf cavalry 2) Khorne berserkers 3) Primaris battlesuits (what ever they are called) 4) Roboute Guilleman 5) Old box naughts . Love 1) Mortarion 2) new Havocs 3) Baneblade (any variant) 4) Eldar Nightwing 5) Reaver battle titan
One of the worst was easily the fine cast tau coldstar commander before they brought out the plastic kit. It had so many pieces that could break off, had an awful pose and couldn’t even support its own weight

That tennis joke at the end tho XD
This is some clickbaitey nonsense and HELL YEAH I'm gonna watch the whole thing!
My favourite model has to be the leviathan dreadnorght
The Tatical Walker is a guilty pleasure of mine.
"The only Tyranid model I don't like." What about the Biovore?
Thank God I bought the ones from 3rd edition. The new ones are really... something... else.
The early "clownface" Carnifex is pretty terrible, alone with the early Tyrannid warriors.
2 birds with one stone. Use the invictor warsuit as the base for a cooler dreadknight conversion.
Hey presto you just turned one space marine into two
Pop goes the monkey does make a GREAT conversion kit for the Invictor that turns it either into a dreadnought, or gives it a solid cockpit.
My top 5 (in no particular order) would be:
Cawl (A LOT of details)
Redemptor (big, chunky robot)
ORK BOYZ (of all kinds, they're pretty much same design with different weapons)
Killa Kans/Venerable dreads (for variety of parts You get)
Corvus Blackstar (I may change opinion when I'll get hands on one)
Nah, the no.1 worst model is the plastic contemptor
My favourite is either the Rockstar Noisemarine or the Ork Killakommando.
Leastfavourite is probably any of the Ork planes or racing karts, because they look all the bloody same.
Those warp talons are killing machine’s.
Love em
Nemesis dread knight, “caution baby on born”
Owns 8 dreadnoughts
"EVEN IN DEBT! I STILL SERVE!"
I LOVE the idea of the model, the huge tanks on the back are awesome, but the front part could and should've been done better (in my opinion of course, if you love it, more power to you ^^ )
Least favourite:
Stormcast line: Busy yet insanely boring designs, people have converted them to look better, but the best ones always end up using Bretonnian bits; a line that was a thousand times better.
Favourite:
Bretonnian Knight of the realm: I am a sucker for Knights and Great helms, and WD292's Crusader army was fantastic!
Imperial Guard Line: I don't think there is a Guard model that I dislike, my favourite 40k army since Winter Assault.
As for Heroes and Lords: Vardek Crom, The Light of Eltharion, current Wight Kings, Fantasy Archaon, and Lord on Daemonic Mount.
my all time favourite is the old resin dark apostle, the new one just dont make up for me it's too generic
when you get to AOS, Slaanesh models rule
I did LANs of Star Wars Battlegrounds, I loved this game! I still have the CDs and a dedicated windows 7 laptop for gems like this.
I want a Knight. But I also have a cell phone, electric, and internet bill to worry about every month.
And yes, Sentinels are awesome. Affordable, easy to build, and so many ways to customize them. I want more of them.
Space wolves wulfen could have taken all five worse slots. Well done for resisting the temptation.
1:35 I'm painting one up now and tbh it kinda grows on you.
EoB: I absolutely hate the dreadknight. Why would you put a dude wearing armor inside of another set of armor!
Also EoB: Dev Cents 🤤
well the Centurions are at least Inside the extra armor, the Gray knight terminator will provide some nice protection to the dread knight from oncoming fire.
Wow, the Nemesis Dreadknight looks fantastic with a Imperial Knight head on top. True baby carrier
Best model ever: craftworld avatar of Khaine
I think he's aged alright. I massively prefer the Forge World sculpts though, the one with a spear is badass. I hope GW finally come up with a plastic update for the guy. I own the metal model, the FW one with spear, the tiny Rogue Trader one and one of the Epic scale ones to make a little family of war gods. It looks kinda cute when you line them all up together. If they do make a new one it means more work for me however. lol
@@Tremadog102 yeah that's fair. I only really said him because I got him as an early Christmas present a few days ago and realised he has to be the most detailed miniature I've seen. I agree though, GW please update aspect warriors.
Well the Nemesis Dreadknight does make for a great Forgefiend with hades Autocannon without babycarier, but just a Daemon torso strapped in.
the best 40k setting models gw has ever released (objectively. do not @ me):
1: space marine thunderhawk gunship (epic scale)
2: space marine dreadnought (epic scale)
3: space marine land raider (yep, you guessed it… epic scale)
4: …
That grey knight dangling from his daddy's belly made me laugh. Great video
gw only updates marine models: the collection
Glad to see there weren't any necron models on the 5 worst
oh yah, the necron models SLAP!
Grey Knights, "why put on terminator armour then jump inside a robot?"
Centurions, "What's cooler than a guy in power armour jumping inside a mech?!"
*Brain audibly hurts
My favorites are: imperial knights, tau hammerhead, Eldar fighter, and fire prism, and the primaris marines
EOB about the grey knight mecha "dudes in armor in another armor, so dumb !"
EOB about the centurions
"dudes in armor in anothrr armor, so cool !"
But the Lord of shulls looks dope as all hell.
I started reading the lore of the Dreadnoughts, it was incredible, now I want ALL
The venerable dreadnought was my first dreadnought and I adore it.
Lord of Skulls Tank-Mode needs to swap out his axe for another Gun.
All time favorite model is the Chaos Dwarf lord on Winged Taurus
Lord of Skulls looks like Sir Killalot from Robot wars
For me it is.
Worst:
1) Space wolf thunderwolf cavalry
2) Khorne berserkers
3) Primaris battlesuits (what ever they are called)
4) Roboute Guilleman
5) Old box naughts .
Love
1) Mortarion
2) new Havocs
3) Baneblade (any variant)
4) Eldar Nightwing
5) Reaver battle titan
In the immortal words of the flash gitz:
Space marines... inside... space marines!
One of the worst was easily the fine cast tau coldstar commander before they brought out the plastic kit. It had so many pieces that could break off, had an awful pose and couldn’t even support its own weight
Actually, due to their ties to the inquisition, the Grey Knights are arguably some of the biggest Aholes among the Space Marines, as opposed to being the most heroic.
“Thousands of models in the catalog “
*out of stock*
Star Wars battleground RTS, was my thing when i was a kid, always played the trade federation because they didn't have to build houses
