I would rather not have the sink in the island. Cause then you got a big area for baking and such. And if you should decide to get rid of the island and renovate, you dont have to move the plumbing.

It is very easy to find the words and use of Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring (LVP) and it is used in many homes across all price points. Therr are also "Grades" of the LVP flooring, but don't take my word for it... you can easily google Luxury Plank Flooring and get the ins and outs of it's uses. I will let you be the judge of what you want to use in your own home.
