David was utterly robbed from the "darkness" challenge. The room was transformed (and the people in it will never return to how they were before that task)
I know, especially when Leigh Hart got to declare a reset on a false start when he prematurely yelled: let's get this party started. I wonder if TM series waits for later series to be more rule strict or if it is dependent on the vibe of the local country
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist. Joined RUclips two weeks ago, cut and pasted this comment five times on this video. Stop preaching and let others believe in what they want to believe in, we are not all stupid.
I can somewhat understand the reasoning since the room itself wasn't transformed physically, but he probably should have gotten a bonus point or two. On the other hand, it did lead to Laura short circuiting when Jeremy offered to swap her first place finish with his last place one.
David literally had me crying twice in the episode... SO FAR. Damn he really changed the atmosphere in that room, and watching him climb in the rafters was so hilarious.
Between David getting buck naked in 12 seconds, drinking sunscreen, and physically injuring himself trying to get a Brussels sprout attached to helium balloons down from the rafters, this is I think one of the hardest I've laughed in Taskmaster.
Even if it wasn’t necessary to conclude the Brussel sprout task I think the sheer chaos of David’s entire go would have turned it into a task; à la David Baddiel’s spoon lasso 🤣
I think Paul said the reason it became a full task was less because of the sprout and more because they forgot to put a time limit on it and everyone went so big on their contraptions.
Between Laura's mug piercing, David's chaos and Urzila's butch slap, it would've been a pity not to show it even without its influence on the sprout task.
David climbing the rafters like he was a mother lifting a car off a baby was incredible seeing paul break character when he was watching him climb the cabinet was everything
I got curious and googled it, it's the 331st most common name with a frecuency of 1 in 1491, which isn't a lot but most likely everyone know at least one person named "Guy"
Thank you SO MUCH for including the NZ episodes for everyone to see! Taskmaster NZ season 2 is one of my favorite seasons of any TV show, and probably among the top 3 Taskmaster seasons ever.
Urzila has a strong Kerry Godliman, BOSH get it done, energy. That 6 meters squirt: brilliant. Also I've heard so many wondeful things about David and while he's amazing so far I'm **loving** the weird psychopathic ebergy Guy Montgomery has. He's my fav so far.
I like that unfairness is a huge part of why we keep coming back here. Many TM in other countries didn't capture that so well. This episode was phenomenal
Compared to the British version this feels like a bunch of neighbours came together and made their own taskmaster thing for fun. And i find it absolutely amazing. 😂
I'm now gonna be stuck looking through every episode to see if the brussel bucket is still there. Love that the Paul shirt is back & how increasingly unhinged each episode is becoming. David & Laura's bond is so sweet too!
They definitely did David dirty in the Dark room challenge. He didn't get any chance to prepare, and he only got 12 seconds to actually transform the room, and he still went all out. He deserved better.
Tbf, paul gave david another chance and he chose to submit his first try. But i do agree it deserved at least top 3. The room wasnt transformed all too much but the vibes sure were drastically different
Oh the irony in David calling out for closure for the brussels sprout task (which I was also screaming at my screen for) when it turns out he was the one who picked up Guy's 😂
Wow this was one of my absolute favorite episodes of Taskmaster! The way the Floating grape task and the sunscreen squirting task played out have to make them two of the best tasks in all of task master
As someone who’s from the states watching this on RUclips I jaw the first season and I can say this is far most entertaining than anything I’ve seen in the states, I hope David wins the season 😂😂😂
Okay Jeremy Wells is winning me over. Has started to be a lot more personable in the latter half of the first season and season 2. Not that it matter but Jeremy Wells you now have my seal of approval as a Taskmaster host. :)
Of all the helium tasks we've seen over the years I think David is the first one to actually secure them in a smart way while working with them (it could still be improved.... but it's honestly a good idea imo)
Spoiler: In the squirt sunscreen task, Urzila got more distance (6.12m) than the the rest of the contestants combined ( 0.31 + 1.09 + 2.39 + 1.27 = 5.06m)
Always been a big fan of David. This series immediately was a must watch when it came out. Great to rewatch legit now 😂 Always appreciate the digs at Jeremy in the prize tasks too😂
I adore him in this season and have watched it several times for him, but I am not aware of his work outside of TM. Do you have anything you would recommend? :D
What an episode! I haven't laughed that hard in a looong time. I think David has officially stolen my heart after all the heartbreaking, yet hilarious, fumbles in this episode. 😂
Ok, so David did not "squirt" from the plynth and he is not a bottle of sunscreen. So him spitting onto the tarp should have never counted as his attempt! This is more of an injustice than potatogate.
David's "Thank you" for the 3 points in the opening task had me rolling. The editing is just top with it cutting directly to David saying "I found the helium."
Heads up, very strong flashing lights at 21:50, ending at 22:21. It's a fullscreen rapid flash of bright colours, to simulate a rave. (Taskmaster channel crew, it would be very helpful in the future if in the description or at the beginning of the video you put a flash warning, as flashing lights like this were enough to give me a headache, and I'm not prone to migraines or epileptic. Thanks!)
Just realized Davids mouth splash was not from the pillar, so therefore doesn't count as an attempt, as well as for the other two, that didn't hav the bottle on the pillar. according to how they counted these attempts, you could have gone with the bottle to the far end of the plastic and did it there and it would have counted according to that logic. Therefore they would have been allowed another go from the pillar. Just saying.
As a huge Bob’s Burgers fan, hearing all these NZers say “Let there be dark” is so funny. It is wildly close to one of my favorite Duncan’s (the NZ transfer student played by the amazing NZ comedian Rhys Darby) NZisms: “Ya know, In NZ we don’t say ‘turn off the light’, we say ‘turn on the dark.’”
David was utterly robbed from the "darkness" challenge. The room was transformed (and the people in it will never return to how they were before that task)
I know, especially when Leigh Hart got to declare a reset on a false start when he prematurely yelled: let's get this party started.

He was purposely scored badly so you'd feel sorry for him, before the next task reveal.
Wait im confused... some said "Let there be dark" while reading the task
How come it only messes up David?
David literally had me crying twice in the episode... SO FAR. Damn he really changed the atmosphere in that room, and watching him climb in the rafters was so hilarious.
Not to mention drinking sunscreen.
I get the feeling that the health and safety rules are a bit less restrictive on the set of TMNZ compared to the UK version.
Just wait, David is an absolute JOY in this season and you haven’t seen anything yet 😂
Yeah, in one of the cut tasks Guy stuck under bit in a toaster and Urzilla broke a collarbone.@@edk3167
beat it you cultist@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist.
Incredible how there’s so much going on that no one even talks about David’s unexplainable decision to put the sunscreen in his mouth.
That was soo unhinged!
I felt like I’d lost my mind watching him do that
At least now we know whether he spits or swallows! 😂
holy crap dude he doesnt even hesitate and acts like hes definitely not just drinking sunscreen. david is a monster.
And he does it THREE TIMES!
David getting naked in a 12 second panic was legit, one of the funniest effing things I have ever seen on all of Taskmaster.
Between David getting buck naked in 12 seconds, drinking sunscreen, and physically injuring himself trying to get a Brussels sprout attached to helium balloons down from the rafters, this is I think one of the hardest I've laughed in Taskmaster.
The fact that this isn't even David's most unhinged episode is incredible to me. One of the best Taskmaster contestants, ever

Jeremy offering to switch points from 1st to last is some next level taskmaster manipulation that would make Gregg proud.
SPOILER ALERT but also fun fact: David could have won this season had Laura decided to swap with him.
@@MyNameIsNeutron Not gonna say spoilers but I think he'd still be off by 1 point from the winner, but it could change who that winner is.
@@MyNameIsNeutron He would have tied for 2nd place.
The sunscreen task was supposed to be a tiebreaker task. However, because of the Brussel sprout and the ways they did the task, it had to be shown
Now the simple description makes sense. They went above and beyond the call of duty...

Great that they showed it! Gold tier stuff
I love how aggressively supportive David was of Lauren’s Brussels sprout bucket!
Especially considering he knew he'd thrown Guy's out 😅
Seeing the bucket in the background for the entire season brings me such an unreasonable amount of joy
David climbing the rafters like he was a mother lifting a car off a baby was incredible seeing paul break character when he was watching him climb the cabinet was everything
This is probably one of the best individual episodes from any Taskmaster series.
100%
Episode 6 and 7 of this season are also classics and might be even better.
@@AuraHero I am so totally hyped for episode 6.
i had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard so many times this episode
Obviously you've never seen 90% of the UK episodes which all surpass this. Easily
David on all fours screaming into the grass is one of my favorite visuals out of any series 😂😂
This show is showing that about 25% of men in NZ is named Guy
I was wondering the same thing!

just a bunch of guys named Guy
You know it's a banger of an episode when David gargling watered-down sunscreen isn't even the most bonkers moment!
I mean...I think it is. The only thing that might be more bonkers is that it goes relatively unaddressed.
David Correos' energy is unreal and I am here for it.
Even after watching this once already, I am so unprepared for how wildly funny it is. David has me in stitches.
The sunscreen task is honestly one of the most core Taskmaster tasks imo like it just sums up so much of the shows DNA
This is my 3rd time watching this season and I'm just now realizing that David, my favorite NZ contestant ever, is basically Angella without her meds.
manic angella.
” sometimes the key is not f*cking around"
Davids outburst was so great hahaha
I thought he was mad until the "I am so proud of you" which only made it more funny
The childhood photo shirts are my favourite thing ever
Thank you SO MUCH for including the NZ episodes for everyone to see! Taskmaster NZ season 2 is one of my favorite seasons of any TV show, and probably among the top 3 Taskmaster seasons ever.

Jeremy really stepped it up this series and found his grove. I'm excited for this series!
It feels like he lost it a bit in s3 and 4 but I heard a lot of it was editing had to cut more of his banter that we see in this series
Prior to filming he found a nice shady grove and sat down under the trees to think about his Taskmaster persona, yes.
This cast rivals some of my favorites from the original series. I'm here for the chaos.
Many argue Taskmaster NZ Season 2 is one of the greatest Taskmaster seasons period. And, as you can see, for a good reason.
The sheer panic of David voice in the dark to the transformation was pure perfection I SAID! I literally laughed so hard that I couldn't breath.
I like that unfairness is a huge part of why we keep coming back here. Many TM in other countries didn't capture that so well. This episode was phenomenal
David legitimately makes me cry laughing, his energy and personality is just amazing
David is the epitomy of what Taskmaster should be. Brilliant in some, makes me cry over his poor executed efforts. That is pure delight.
If Laura had taken Jeremy's offer to swap her 5 points in the prize task with David's 1, it would have been a 4-way tie at 17 points!
One of the best episodes in the entire Taskmaster canon.
Compared to the British version this feels like a bunch of neighbours came together and made their own taskmaster thing for fun.
And i find it absolutely amazing. 😂
"nope ... Maybe if they got a metal mug." 😂 Too heckin cute 😂😂

Jeremy giving David a single point for THAT is the most villainous thing I've ever seen him do.
And 29:55 got a genuine guffaw out of me.
Wow this was one of my absolute favorite episodes of Taskmaster! The way the Floating grape task and the sunscreen squirting task played out have to make them two of the best tasks in all of task master
Floating brussel sprout. The grape task is yet to come. 🙂
David's portrait was by far the best
Finding out that there's a NZ Taskmaster and then immediately seeing one of the guys from Death Blart was like being kicked in the stomach
I am hoping we get Tim on one of these seasons
this actually explains a lot about why he's like this. the actions of a man who has watched pbmc2 far too many times
Guy Montgomery is a national treasure (or should be)
I kept hearing David was legit insane, but I was not prepared for the sunscreen challenge lol. I wheezy laughed til I had an asthma attack hahahaha.

Oh you haven't seen the best task yet, the breaking point

* Comes in.
* Slams the squirter down.
* Sends the sunscreen further than anyone has ever squirted before.
* Refuses to elaborate
* Leaves.
The crucial thing she did was tilting the bottle before slamming. She gave it a longer ballistic trajectory that way.
