I have watched most of your posts since you left home and arrived in Australia and its great to see you finally smiling and not looking so timid and afraid. I hope you have some good luck and get a job soon. Face to face job hunting worked best for me. You picked the best country to come to in my opinion.
Wow that’s so sweet! Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that there are people out there who are following my journey, so thank you! 💕 I agree, Australia is one of the best places!
The quirkiness of these vlogs makes the food more appealing for some strange reason. Im going to have to try some of these recipes - this is exactly the food im looking for. Thanks
I'm glad to see you cooking again!! Also glad the prices are better at your new location. Great to see you've made some new friends. Gonna check out your next video to see how the job hunt is going. LOL
I love budget food! Not sure if you've tried it before but I've recently tried making Japanese Curry. It's really delicious, affordable, and you can eat it for 3 or 4 meals. You can easily find the recipe online but the main ingredients are onion, carrots, potatoes, and Japanese Golden Curry cubes. It works best with a bowl of warm rice.
Omg I actually made Japanese curry in one of my videos and I’ve been in love with it ever since! Thanks for the reminder that I should make it again! I’m just hesitant about cooking rice without a rice cooker because I suck at it 😂
Your doing really well managing to film your food videos in a crowded hostel! Yes that looks like a good fruit market full of good produce. Sorry to hear about the missed interview. Something will turn up soon🙌🌻🙋♂️
I love that the vlog is simple and based around cheap meals in Cairns. I never thought that would entertain me. I'm going to Cairns next month for a holiday to the GBR and Daintree, and I don't plan on eating cheaply.
Wonderful video! Hope you're having fun here in Queensland. If you ever get the chance, head over to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. The energy is great there. The only problem you may have to face is the long distance, walking back to the entrance/exit way. 😄
Seriously -- you worry too much about what other people think of you! ... I like the saying that "what your neighbour thinks of you, is none of your business" ... Having said that, you did really well in the fruit market. You've obviously grown in your journey -- including getting to know the local environmental options 😎
I really like Vegemite and avocado is usually pretty bland / neutral so that actually sounds fire 😩 I left my jar of Vegemite in Sydney, so once I’m back I’ll try it 100%
Capsicum! Not bell pepper 😂. In Australia now 😊. Agency work…. I work in mining ….. so many Argentinians working here getting paid insane money for doing housekeeping. Hays seems to be most popular agency . There would be heaps in cairns !
Hope you find some work.Have you tried applying for a job at woolworths. There always looking for night fill casual workers in the big cities any.You stack the shelves. Its pretty easy if you can score a job.
*AVOCADO TIPS:* There's a new species called Gmax that has been on sale in Australia for about a year. It's larger and costs a bit more, but it has predictably good flesh every time, and stays fresh for much longer in the fridge. If you can't find Gmax and want an avocado that's good inside and not a spoiled waste of money, look for fruit that still have the little nub where they were attached to the stem. Knock this off, and if the exposed area underneath is all pale yellow/green then it's a good one. And lastly, if you have an avo that's been around too long, even if you don't plan to eat it straight away, cut it in half, rub some lemon or line juice on each half, and cover the halves with something, preferably non-plastic. That way it'll keep a day or two longer and you can monitor its condition and eat it before it turns.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to me as it must have been hard with so many followers. I am an old fart, one foot in the grave the other on a banana peel, my parents were immigrants from Europe after the second world war and have been drumming it into me how good this country is for as long as I can remember. They came from countries where grudges are held for hundreds of years, pasted from generation to generation, but in Australia they found that the son is not held responsible for the fathers mistakes, you can have a different opinion ie. pollties, sports, etc and still be friends. Anyway good luck with the job hunting and have a great time.
There’s been quite a wave of comments coming in lately from very sweet and supporting people like you, so I think it’s only fair to take my time to respond, which I also enjoy doing :) thanks for giving us a little bit of your history! Very fascinating
I live in Australia as well shop at Woolies but it's really expensive let alone, I'm actually fasting now because of it, and I buy healthy food like organic fruit and vegies and grass fed butter and meat which is really expensive but I prefer to get what's better for my health so can't win either way
I feel the exact same way. I also try to eat as much organic food as well as enough vegetables and fruits but it’s really hard here due to the costs :(
@@Begibou true, a shame how some countries are only organic and grass fed without a bank breaking price but we here have to pay extra to not be unhealthy, our farms aren’t the best and the prices are a health choice yet still always expensive
I know it’s such a shame.. it’s just not affordable anymore. I hope to have my own little garden one day to get at least a portion of healthy, organic food into my system :)
