Glad you're enjoying Australia, I really liked the aesthetic of this video and the food looks so good! Backpackers like you will always be welcome. Love from sydney.
Yuum !! What a wonderful video, delicious dishes and you looking really happy and having lots of fun with your friends. With the type of stir fry you did I like to add a little roasted belachan (prawn paste). I'm glad you eat so well.
Hooray, cooking again!! I enjoyed the Australian tours, but love when you're showing us cooking. The stir fry looked amazing! I loved the sushi lesson too. I was meaning to tell you that you have such cute dresses. You didn't give us a fashion show when you got them like you did when you went cloths shopping before moving to Australia. LOL. I'm glad things are going better for you now and I pray you enjoy working at the strawberry farm.
Whenever I’m doing cooking videos now, I’m thinking of you, because I know that you’ve supported me with my cooking videos from the beginning and that you enjoy them more than the travel videos 🥰 so thank you so much for that. Ohh I got these dresses a while ago, I think maybe even before RUclips. Maybe there’s gonna be a fashion show in the future again! 😃
Yay! I am loving the hostel content because I am so curious about how people live like that and I love meeting the expats 🤗. I would love to know why Germans, French etc. would rather come to Australia ( I dream of leaving Australia and going to Europe).
i have a lot of foreign friends and they all say the same thing; in europe you are always on the defensive. always checking your pockets and bags, always watching other people (scammers etc) whereas here you dont have to, you can relax a lot more and not worry about your belongings. at a festival at the beginning of the year this french guy was shocked someone handed in his lost phone to lost property.
@@jameswozny1997 Thanks so much for your comment! I find these things so interesting and it's handy to know since I haven't travelled yet. I am currently hesitant to leave Australia for these reasons: 1. I love our constant sunny weather 2. It's the best country to work as a school teacher (correct me if I'm wrong lol) 😊
the editing of this and how you are made this video so enjoyable (also the food because i love seeing what other people eat haha) instant subscribe from me!
Farm work… although I’ve got only 3 months under my belt, try it out but ready to move on within a week. Too many illegal practices and layers of middle person until you see the merger take home… lots of shackles in place like bond money accommodation upfront etc etc especially ones that workers will walk off with no saving at the end. I don’t mean to scare you as there are good farms too, but best way to put it, it’s like shopping at a second car dealership. As first timer, luck is probably not on your side, other than that, good luck and welcome to aus
100% agreed. I’m in that situation right now (posting a video about it once I finished editing it) and it feels like finding a non dodgy farm is like finding your soulmate or winning the lottery. It’s almost impossible and it’s frustrating having to deal with it even with that knowledge because you have no choice if you want your visa extension
I don't think the closed mushrooms are fresher. They are simply younger and small so they have not had the time to grow longer and develop the open bottom. They could have been picked at the same time as the ones that have the open bottom. But yeah, the closed bottom might hold moisture a little better but I would honestly not factor that in when choosing my mushrooms. Your knife skills are a good average (read it the central European way, not the American way 😀). The problem is the dull knife. Especially if it is a hostel knife 🙂
Hahha ok thanks for your feedback! I was fooled and provided wrong information 😂 hehe I know, I will make the effort to work on my knife skills in the future now
In australia doing a british accent lol your funny, p.s oh & i forgot to say i've never called someone a half cut mango or ever heard that, must be a qld thing 😝
1. It's half sucked mango, not half cut 2. You haven't used it because it's an insult guys say about women - "she's got a face like a half-sucked mango."
We don't have bell peppers in 'straya, we have bloody capsicums, flamin heck, do we need to teach that to you too?!! ;-) Keep smiling. As for peanuts, depends on how many an hour thry're paying; pay peanuts and get monkeys, I get just enough peanuts in my bank account occasionally. x-)
I knoooow I know but I mocked the British accent this time, not the Australian one. Or do Brits not say capsicum? Idk why but capsicum sounds like an insect to me
dont listen to a word any Aussies say that are staying in the hostel haha. that half sucked mango guy is in a hostel for a reason, and its not backpacking
@@Begibou haha no he said half sucked mango, its a "joking reference" that can be used to describe how someone looks.. He specifically might be a nice person, in general Australians that are in and out of hostels are there because they either don't fit into normal housing situations or they can't afford it. Although I'm not saying this is true for 100% of people. Regardless, was a great video! you have lucked out with some great "roomates" haha. much love from the Gold Coast.
I dont get why people do these work holiday visas tbh, it looks crap. kind of like one of those lodgings you get to live in when you are on site at work lmao , but with none of the pay and you have to cook yourself. and probably being paid nothing on some avocado farm. Honestly will never understand the appeal of doing this, or even why people bother
I really wanted to come and live in Australia and the WHV is probably the easiest visa you can get. Since I don’t have any required skills, a work visa was not an option and a student visa is way too expensive
@@Begiboui can't beleive you replied to that looser who just dissed you when as a vegan who probably has something in common couldn't get a single relpy for any of my help. I didn't diss you like that. I just said I was also depressed for years, living away from the east coast (probably similar to how you felt in Germany). I just had an Aussie passport. I didn't want to get out of bed. And I said when I finally did move 1 or 3 years wasn't enough to learn about how it works here. I should have done it in stages now 10 years later when i finally know how it works here. It's a bit late now I get it you're already here. Don't be scared to go back though and just return here in the summer every year on a tourist visa. Just becuase you arent working here doesn't mean you can't gain experiences. As said though about being an employee. It's always the same here or in Germany or somewhere else. Good or bad boss. You're still at risk of loosing the job. And you still get told what to do. Even if it's in a nice way. Also you can learn a lot from listening to local radio stations. Where I'm from there is no rugby. And I'm still trying to work out how they can talk about it all day long on the radio here on the east coast😂
I‘m a backpacker in a hostel with zero money or space. I don’t like plastic cutting boards and cheap pots and pans with toxic chemicals either but sometimes you have no choice
@@Begibou I’m excited to see your next video and the next chapter in your Aussie adventures. I’m from Queensland myself so it’s fun to see what you think of the place.
Fun fact: All the people selling fruit and veg at rusty's markets buy it from Woolworths. A bag of 5 odd bunch capsicums (peppers) is $5. 1.5kg of carrots, $2.00. etc etc. So they take two of the five peppers out of the bag and charge you what they paid for the whole bag. Cheapest fruit and veg is the farmer's market up near the Barron river bridge, but it's a drive, not a walk. Bananas? $2 per kg at the yellow trailers by the side of all the roads leading out of Cairns. Or $4 a kg at rusty's. Also, an easy way to roughly crush peanuts is in a cup on a bench, using the handle of a wooden spoon.
What? How do you know that? Some of the products were really cheap and the same amount would’ve cost twice at Cole’s or woolies like the bananas for example. No way this is actually profitable if they bought everything there
