I've often had the passing thought, what seat is safest? I've generally dismissed the thought, guessing it's hopeless if the worst happens.
If the plane nosedives into the ground at 400mph, if you're at the rear of the plane, at least you're sure to be the last to die.
@@SceneArtisan 🤣🤣
@@sofyanevan4305 😁Dark humour, I know. 😏
If the seat at the very back of the plane is the safest, then it should be even safer to duct-tape yourself to the vertical stabilizer (tail). #science

My Thai Airways took off before the ill fated SQ flight. I was a very rough weather with wind shear immediately after lift off. And rough for the next hour. We only found out about the crash after we landed in Bangkok.

My condolences go out to the 83 peoples family and friends for their loss so sad 😭 gone but never forgotten rest easy to the 83 people who died 😭
SQ006's crew failed to prepare for the taxi to the correct runway, lost situational awareness, and ultimately commenced takeoff from the wrong runway. The report was critical of the crew of flight SQ006 and the Standard Operating Procedures of Singapore Airlines.
ooooooor you're brainwashed by the report by taiwan trying to push the blame away from themselves because only a dumb@ss puts the runway closed X at the halfway point because an aircraft can definitely slow down from 100+kts to 0 in 1 second. if they were normal people (read: every other f*king airport in this world) who put the X at the rwy start then this would have never happened. taiwan almost got off scott free for doing this but we never forget who the real perpetrators of this manslaughter are
There's no safest seat on an airplane. You need to ask yourself what type of seat would give me a higher survival rate in a certain type of crash event.
Statistically the safest place to sit while a plane crashes is in your living room.
the only crash sg's renowned airlines ever had... hoping for none more to happen. RIP to all

good luck u got this
Singapore airlines flight 6’s pilots actually made a bad decision to taxi slower than usual because they thought that they had reached the runway since they were slower than usual and went to the wrong runway, but the runway that they had wrongly went to was closed since there were still construction pieces on the runway not cleared and they hit the pieces so that is why they crashed.
I think the crash of Singapore airlines flight six is because the airport forgot to turn off closed runway light
I mean there’s a reason why the pilots involved were fired from SA despite Taiwan deciding to not prosecute them
in fact everyone in first class survived, some even with no injuries
Most who died were in the middle of the plane due to the fuel tank explosion.
@@user-e-idk many in the upper deck business class also died due to smoke inhalation during the evacuation
Surprisingly everything in the economy in the rear section that broke off survived, many without injuries
@@marcox2937 not really surprising... i mean the separation of the fuselage kinda spared them from the deadly part (fire)
@@marcox2937 soo the richest and the peasants were the ones who survived. Sorry middle class people.
I am from Singapore and I can't believe this happened sad for everyone
Same date 1 year earlier before this plane disaster Flight 990 crashed 1:50 AM
I never accept short layovers, because I always sit in the back. Statistically, the rear is the safest. There are just a few scenarios in which the back is not the safest.
And that's the reason that I don't sleep when i go on planes
I think you're not allowed to sleep when on Take off and Landing

I always choose the back of the plane, the further back the better, because as a famous comedian once said, "planes don't reverse into mountains."
So basically all dangerous parts of the plane when it comes to a crash where pretty much fine except for the safest part that is the middle.
Where do I get to see the full episode of this. It's nowhere pls help

I wanted to become a pilot my self but something changed my plans of being one 10 year's ago and is not just because of fear of flying is something much worse than that..

Why i feel bad for the victims of planes that never got airborne?
R.I.P to the 83 people who died

Check out Mentour Pilot’s video on this. He goes into minute details.
One thing I wanna know is, how could the pilots not realize they were on the WRONG RUNWAY???
idk man i guess a typhoon aint so big a deal plus atc didnt have ground radar to tell them where planes actually were
One of the pilots was focusing on keeping the plane on the centre line while taxiing, and the other was focussed on other things. There was also no ground radar and (if I remember correctly) the taxiway lights were dimmer then usual on the path where they should’ve taxied, so the pilot just assumed he was going the right way. Also in Singapore, the taxiway lights are only lit up on the route where the plane will taxi, but in Taiwan (and most other places), all of the taxiway lights are lit up, so the pilots weren’t used to that. Sorry if this last part is confusing
The captian was so focused on the taxiing until he thought that 05r was 05l. He also ignored the misalignment warning even when the First Officer queried about it.
@@hothotchickenroll Shouldn't be that hard to figure out from the ND of 747 tho
they knew so they just said "nevermind. we can see the runway" even though it was dark and he couldnt see that far.
back is safest of plane middle is medium and front is most dangerous. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Middle is actually the safest just not on this flight
it depends on the plane sometimes aswell
@@Grizzles56 yes.. i watch many of the crash video..the middle always the safest.
@@Grizzles56 the middle is between where the wings are located. The fuel tanks are in the wings. If the fuel ignites or explodes, the passengers sitting in the middle will be the first to get barbecued.
@@sunnyfon9065 that is true but the main structure of the plane is supported from the middle so if the fuel didn't ignite middle would be the best position to be in

@@Ryu1478 hey
Only because they took off on the wrong runway this happens! Seriously, what were they thinking?!
He wasn’t…hate to see it…took all those lives because he wasn’t locked in
As with any accident there are many factors involved. First, the typhoon which severely reduced visibility and implored the Captain to taxi much slower than would be normal. Second, the inoperative ground radar, which would have shown the controller the aircraft’s position. Third, the fact that the runway lights were still on despite the runway being closed for construction. Taxiing at a large airport in low visibility conditions in the dark is not easy at all - I can tell you that
False hope….
There is one Filipino in this flight but died in the crash. RIP for that Filipino
They are so selfish at crashing
The airport is responsible for this crash

Why didn’t Taiwanese close off 5R?
Pilot entered wrong runway
they closed it somewhere in the middle (where the equipment was) not the start. obviously a 0iq move since a plane can definitely stop from 100+kts to 0 in 1 second. taiwan still continues to push the blame on SQ till this day but we never forget who really is at fault, if the X was at the rwy start this would have never happened
Ugh every nation is an island nation
I prefer the train, anyways.
Singapore Hey!!! Look l'm lndonesia...
What I think 🤔 is the reason why the plane caught fire is because it was trying to gain speed during a violent storm and the fuel tanks got too hot and it wasn't able to gain take off.
The actual cause was the pilots accidentally took the plane to the wrong runway which was under construction at the time and when the plane tried to take off it hit the construction equipment which caused the fire.
