Hope the weather turns to spring soon! With you and your parents having big gardens and fruit, you might want to checkout a freeze dryer! Check out Cog Hill Family Farm they have one and it’s awesome and you can see how beneficial one would be for both families. You and Philip will enjoy this channel very much. You are probably the same age and have the same interest. Love to all Fran

Elysia I hate for a negative comment to be my first on your you tube channel but……… it is way to cold in your greenhouse to start warm weather crops like tomatoes and peppers. You can buy seed starting mats and that will help some but air temps need to be warmer. Don’t know if there is anyway you would consider using a large electric heater or perhaps a propane heater. Even cool weather crops would benefit from the warmth provided from seed starting mats. They are pretty inexpensive and last for many years. Also do not forget all plastic pots even thin seed starting trays can be washed and reused year after year. If you buy transplants save the pots then they are free technically.

I'm curious to know where you are located. I am in Ontario and have put my seedlings outside as our night temp is 7 degrees at 10:30pm and a low of 3 degrees for 1 hr around midnight the back up to 9 tomorrow morning. All my plants are doing OK so far but if we do have a night where it drops lower I just bring them in

I usually survive waiting for spring in BC Canada, by planting Onions, Celery and Peppers in January. I have discovered that it takes Peppers 5-7 months to grow enough roots to force big flowering production. I like to give them tons of time to do their best work. That said, I am buying pepper starts this year and I have already planted onion sets, I bought. Our zone is anywhere from 4A-6B. More like zone 5b most of the time.
