This is the game I've been thinking we'd loose. Then again I said the same thing before the SMU game, Kansas State, and Arizona... so maybe being wrong is good.
I don't know why everyone is acting like Kansas winning was some type of "gotcha" in regards to BYU being fraudulent or something. People are acting like Kansas went in there and worked BYU over. When in reality it was more like BYU's own mistakes cost them the game. Every time BYU has been in a close game its been of their own doing. I don't think they've been outplayed by a single opponent all season. They've had more total yards than their opponent in 8 of 10 games. The only games where the opponent had more yards was Kansas St (a BYU blowout win, KSU only had more yards due to their turnovers giving them more possessions and more TOP) and Baylor (it was almost even). In their worst games (loss to Kansas and close wins over Ok St and Utah) they outgained the opponent despite poor performances. These are signs of a really good team. They're legit. And I never really expected them to go undefeated. Thats rarified air in a P4 conference. So I'm not sure why so many are acting like theyre trash after one loss. I'd still pick them in both of their remaining two games. And I still think that theyre the best overall team in the Big 12 (doesn't necessarily mean they'll win the conference).
You aren't correct about the first round bye.. if Boise is relanled higher than the big 12 champ, they will get the 4 spot and Big 12 will probably get 12 seed
If ASU, BYU or Colorado wins out with the Big 12 championship they will move above Boise State. The only way the big 12 doesn’t have a representative is if they all somehow pick up another loss.
