    The thing i think Deion likes about CU is he gets to show alot of young men(particularly black men) a different way to live, Boulder is a very white, low crime, affluent, welcoming city up in the mountains. He can show these young men a different world from where most of them come from and how attainable it is with hard work and dedication.

      I would also add that Oregon played both Maryland and Wisconsin after those two teams had BYE weeks . . . the extra week of prep and rest matters, especially for developing a defensive game plan. And it showed.
      I knew that the Ducks had a very early 1st week off (Sept. 21st), and have played an 8 straight week conference slate . . . that's tough. Glad these guys mentioned that. Didn't realize that no other team in the playoff mix has had to do that.

    • @ryanestabrooke111
      @ryanestabrooke111 12 дней назад +2

      @ Idk if I’ve ever heard of a team having to play their last 3 opponents that each have byes (Maryland, WIsconsin and Washington) thankfully the bye week came at a perfect time for the Ducks. Great point.

      @SoapTheFox 10 дней назад

      Oregon is also the only #1 team to not immediately choke it away lol. We were switching #1 every week at the start of the season. There's something to be said about being THE biggest target in every game you play. Everyone is gonna be fired up going into the #1 rank. They've withstood the pressure excellently so far.

    I'm a Miami fan and I find it weird that everyone thinks Miami is in the playoffs. Currently they won't even make the ACC title game. If Clemson beats SMU, Miami shouldn't go to the playoffs over an SMU team whose second loss comes from being good enough to make a conference title game.

    • @ejesbd
      @ejesbd 12 дней назад

      Miami will likely be in the ACC title game. Assuming Clemson and Miami win the rest of their season, Miami has the tie-breaker with the better win% against common opponents (Miami beat Louisville, but Clemson lost). If there is a 3-way tie with SMU, Clemson has the worst win% against common opponents (again, Louisville). Of course, they could lose to WF and would be out.
      I think the ACC champ will be the only team to make the playoff.

    I was a Deion unbeliever. I’m a believer now. I hope he stays at Colorado. Evan as a Texas Tech fan… maybe even especially as a Texas Tech fan… I want, no in NEED, Deion to stay at Colorado. He is the best thing happening to college football right now, and as a result the best thing happening in the Big 12. Go Buffs! I don’t care if you hate it, GO BUFFs, GO DEION!!!!

    I am a bit nervous about this matchup because of this OSU O line… Another shift in plans.. I am sure OSU will be fine at the end of this but for the BigTen championship and the playoffs is what I’m worried about…

    CU alum…if Deion goes to the NFL to coach his son, or not to coach his son, I’d stand up and clap and shake his hand threw the tv screen. I’m old enough to have gone there when they were making Big 12 championship games (only to get beat by like 40 by TX or OK but still, respectable seasons). Joel Klatt era seasons.
    And he was 100% correct and honest when he said this team was DEAD. Despite having actual winning history there was no sense this team could turn things around.
    Deion changed that. First, and yes it is important from an institutional perspective, the money he has brought in is unprecedented. It would be disingenuous to not frankly start with that. But two, I think even if he does leave he’s not going to leae the program in a bad place. There are ALOT of talented young players on that team and most aren’t even NFL eligible let alone ready. Now could they transfer if he leaves? Sure. But I bet whoever replaces Deion is hand picked BY Deion to ensure that doesn’t happen plus now they have the NIL money to retain those players against counter offers.
    Obviously I hope he stays. I think he could build a perennial contender. But if that’s not actually his dream. And his dream is the NFL and maybe a Mike Tomlin type career (remember neither actually call plays on either side; they are HEAD coaches), then all the best. CU is and will be appreciative (or at least we should be).

    I think we would get a Georgia vs Ohio State championship. Ohio State and Georgia have the easiest paths if the season ended today. It all going to be different in a few weeks.
