I used to say the same stuff you did when my team was in the Big XII…I get it. BTW, last year’s PAC XII is the stacked conference you’re referring to. Sorry, play in the trenches is more demanding in the SEC. It’s like if you had to play a much better version of Kansas every week. Hopefully we may see in a bowl game (assuming SEC players play).
The only way the Big 12 can save face is not being one and done in the playoff while doing well in the crappy bowls against teams like Wash St, Ala, Clemson, Tn, Tam, ol Miss. etc. I'm tired of hearing how good they are to only see crap performances at game time.

BYU and Colorado had their individual shots at a title. The regular season acts as a playoff in itself and if you can’t pull an Ohio state style win against Kansas or ASU you don’t deserve a chance at a playoff.
Let me show you the kind of parity we have in the Big 12. IF: Houston beats BYU Oklahoma State beats Colorado Arizona beats Arizona State Kansas State beats Iowa State Baylor beats Kansas TCU beats Cincinnati We could have an 8-way tie for first place in the conference. The championship would likely be ASU vs. BYU just by virtue of all the other teams beating each other. The craziest part? I would 100% believe all that happening considering what's been going on over the course of the season.
If more chaos happens next week and Kansas State beats Iowa State(which could easily happen) or U of A upsets ASU then Tulane, who is only ranked 3 spots behind ASU and one spot behind Iowa State, will be ranked higher then any team in the BIG 12.
The most likely scenario given the schedule next week is ISU is the most likely to NOT win out next week. I'm saying ASU vs Ybu rematch, but if NOT that scenario, then the championship game will likely be ASU vs ISU 🏆
I’m a big 12 Iowa State fan. But let’s be honest the top 3 or 4 teams in the SEC and Big 10 are better than the top teams in the Big 12 right now. The good thing about going to 12 teams is the big 12 will always get a team in the playoffs. Hopefully they prove me wrong and have a TCU like team that beat Ohio State a couple years ago. But if they have a TCU like team show up and play a game like they did against Georgia they won’t get much respect. Each conference deserves a team in the playoffs. So I’m surprised they just didn’t go to 16 teams like they will in a few years. There is way too much money in it for them to not do that. It’s pretty much whatever the big 10 and sec say is how it will go. If they want it to change then the other conferences need to start being consistent and win some playoff games each year
I agree, if the Big XII and ACC want to change perceptions that the Big Ten and SEC aren't miles ahead, the ACC/B12 teams need to win a round before they bow out. It will also not be helpful if Boise St wins a game and B12/ACC teams do not. There is a lot of conference reputation at stake here as we lead up to the final selection and then as the games are played. Reputation = money. It pisses me off that Notre Dame just gets free reign to be a loose cannon and basically gets a free pass to the CFP anytime they can cobble together 10 wins, no matter who they play. That is some bullshit and HOPEFULLY if a couple Big Ten or SEC bluebloods get left out to make room for the Irish it might change, but what is more likely is the Big XII would not get an invite at all so we can include S Carolina and Missouri and Tennessee and Penn St. Bastages.
I disagree with this. I think Big 12 top 4 can go toe to toe with Top 4 in B1G and SEC after this weekend. ORegon, prolly not, Texas, prolly not. Even georgia struggled at 1 point with Umass.
Colorado has not beaten a ranked team all yr and by beating unranked Kansas would have snuck in to the title game. Thank God they lost. Arizona St is in w/ a win. ISU is in w/ win
Texas would ROUTE Colorado's schedule this yr. There is no team in the Big 12 that has a Defense as Strong as Texas.....THAT would be the difference. SEC is played in the trenches.......Big 12's trenches are FAR EASIER.
I'm not sure the Big 12 would be competitive against the top 10 teams. No one had a great schedule, but I would trust the teams who usually have one over all but 2 or 3 teams in the Big 12. CU definitely isn't the team people think they are. Simple solution is the Big 12 needs to try and have a tougher non-conference schedule next year. Youre talking about a program that has a winning record historically over 75% of the teams in your conference. Youd also have to actually play Boise in Idaho if they were in your conference, and Boise State would have 15 times the resources they do currently if they are in the B12.
If yall wanna complain about Boise State, you could have resolved this by just taking them in your conference. You didnt want Boise State, even though they are one of the most consistently high level teams in the last 30 years, or that they have a proven track record against teams in your conference, or that they consistently play tough OOC have more featured high level games than literally anyone in your conference. But you picked teams based on blue blood bs, basketball, and money..... So guess what B12 - you can screw all the way off in complaining about Boise State!

@@885Blackjack The MWC historically has been astronomically more competitive at a high level than the B12 currently. In any general sense its a really bold strategy to attack Boise State on competition, cuz they got receipts for days and an answer to any argument you can fathom. They literally hold the all time ncaa record for consecutive winning seasons, but youre gonna act like they cant compete? HUH??? In the last 30 years they are by far the most accomplished G5 team to play the game: - They have the 6th best career record percentage in the sport (0.724) - They have the 18th most conference championships in the sport (21) - They have the 3rd most undefeated seasons in the sport (5) - They have the 3rd most 10+ win seasons in the last 20 years (15) - They are undefeated in major bowls (3-0), and undeniably should have played for more - They have had 8 top 10 ranked teams - They have additional All Time NCAA records for consecutive home wins (67), Class record (50-3), and Class margin of loss (5). Nothing against UCF, but UCF joined the same year as BSU, and yall took them over Boise - BSU has 160 more wins than UCF! This program has applied to join a P5 conference 13 times in the last 25 years - so its never been their decision to be in the conference they are in currently. The B12 had multiple opportunities to take them into the B12, but yall decided no, because you cared more about money than ability to play the sport. As for schedule, one of the argument Boise made to the B12 is that you would have every season a prime time quality top ranked matchup in OOC, which NOBODY in the B12 can claim. - Boise State has played more ranked OOC games than any team in the nation the last 25 years - Boise State has played 5 top 10 final ranked teams in the last 5 years in OOC - Boise State has played 3 different P5 conference champions in OOC the last 5 years - Boise State has played 9 P5 conference champions in OOC the 20 years - Boise State still has future OOC games against Notre Dame, Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa, Louisville, NC State, Washington, and USC Nobody in the B12 has the scheduling track record, nor has the future OOC opponents for conference comparisons. Boise State told yall this from day 1, and you didnt want to reap the benefits, cuz yall just think theyre a small school in Idaho.
@MattBuild4 I got to point out Linfield college in Oregon has the NCAA and college football all league record for winning seasons at over 60+ winning seasons. That said, they are D3 amd Boise owns the D1 record which is probably more about what you were discussing. UNLV and Washington state up to this point has been their only credible wins. I don't think that demotes them by any means, but it isn't doing heavy lifting. The close loss to Oregon with a comparable ending to Ohio state vs oregon are doing a lot of lifting at this point, and I think the possibility of a rematch has folks interested in seeing the what if play out. That said, if they beat Oregon State next week they can claim the Pac-12 AND MWC titles, so as a double conference champion they should at least have a bye

Youd also have to actually play Boise in Idaho if they were in your conference, and Boise State would have 15 times the resources they do currently if they are in the B12.
Boise state let utah State put up over 40 points on them... they would be mid tier in the big12 in their few years.
At this point, do you think no 3 loss team will make it to the playoff ?
Alabama would if Saban was still the coach, buy not now
If yall wanna complain about Boise State, you could have resolved this by just taking them in your conference.
So guess what B12 - you can screw all the way off in complaining about Boise State!
boise state should not have a bye, but they are having a great year!
Bsu has to beat oregon st next week...big game
What are you even talking about. Nobody is leaving the Big 12 out, just BYU.
The big 12 champ isn’t guaranteed a spot. The only guarantees are the 5 highest ranked conference champs. I think if Army had beaten Notre Dame it was possible.
if anyone thought Army had a chance is obviously only a casual fan. 😂
@@Bardmusic66bullshit. The SEC is getting 3 in. Maybe 4 if lucky. Did you not just see what happened this weekend? Your brain is broken
Yeah, Colorado is out.
If Iowa State and ASU lose next week then Tulane will be ranked higher then any other BIG 12 school.
Lol And Arizona is going to get blown out in the first round.
Yes their better than Colorado 😂😂 Because Neal just beat y’all by himself so what you think Jeanty gone do
Why are you folding so quickly drake? The CF world is grtting wild and its getting harder to know who are the best trams. But one things for sure, if we as a confetence surrender before hand then we stand no chance of getting anyone into the cfp.
Hate this whole surrender monkey mentality. OU just beat bama! The parity is going to be off the charts and imo the XII deserves two teams in the cfp.
Boise State barely beat Wyoming ASU hung a 45 burger on them while giving them 7 only ......
Drake sure likes to mislead people...big 12 is the 2nd best conference ? Come on man start thinking about your reputation in the industry. Texas even won the conference last year.
he means basketball
@@RavenThom😂
Kansas houses Colorado ASU smacks BYU in the mouth and now the Big 12 Is doomed .........I'm going to say this......forget the CFP . The Big 12 will shine in bowls .......how bout Bama .....
yeh choke city hype job of a football team. The was an ugly beat down nobody saw coming........I like the Big 12 top 6 against ANY SEC team .......bring it !
@caleshtcincredibles ASU smacks BYU in th mouth? Tell me you didn't watch the game without saying you didn't watch lol.
@brettallen1440 I watched every second........ASU had that game won by half time.
BYU is overrated ! They have had one of the weaker schedules and have lost to the easiest part of it.
Nonsense. At least the Big12 champ will make it in at the very least..
Oh well Colorado😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Big 12 is definitely a roll over league. What is this guy talking about 🤣🤣🤣
Indiana would win the Big 12
@@Michael-y2m9s false
Yes running away with it.
Come find out.
Indiana has only played the bottom half of the B1G... Which consists of them being = to Ok State this year...
@@princenikoli No, because the Big 12 sucks. They can't recruit, they have no NFL prospects, and they end up with 2nd tier coaches. It's clearly the 4th best conference far behind the SEC and B1G, and behind by less to the ACC. It's a (slightly) glorified G5 league
As your current 'big 12' champion. I feel compelled to educate your ignorance. A school districts middle school league can beat itself up and look balanced. That doesn't mean their teams are equal to the New PAC, I mean 'big 12'. 🤡😂. You know this however because you expressed that understanding. In your attempt to belittle Boise State and the Mountain West. You are not a SEC equal. You're the middle school conference. Whatever helps you truck stoppers deal with failure however, because it's happening in basketball also. Run with it. 😂😂😂
No one agrees with you.
@@885BlackjackAs your current 'big 12' champion. I must inform you. They will be releasing the top 25 and playoff seeding soon enough. It doesn't matter what you agree with!
HUH???
In the last 30 years they are by far the most accomplished G5 team to play the game:
- They have the 6th best career record percentage in the sport (0.724)
- They have the 18th most conference championships in the sport (21)
- They have the 3rd most undefeated seasons in the sport (5)
- They have the 3rd most 10+ win seasons in the last 20 years (15)
- They are undefeated in major bowls (3-0), and undeniably should have played for more
- They have had 8 top 10 ranked teams
- They have additional All Time NCAA records for consecutive home wins (67), Class record (50-3), and Class margin of loss (5).
- Boise State has played more ranked OOC games than any team in the nation the last 25 years
- Boise State has played 5 top 10 final ranked teams in the last 5 years in OOC
- Boise State has played 3 different P5 conference champions in OOC the last 5 years
- Boise State has played 9 P5 conference champions in OOC the 20 years
- Boise State still has future OOC games against Notre Dame, Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa, Louisville, NC State, Washington, and USC
Nobody in the B12 has the scheduling track record, nor has the future OOC opponents for conference comparisons.
I am a boise state fan and have been for close to 20 years now, but history is meaningless when discussing the individual season at hand.
Bruh, you beat Wyoming by 4. Wyoming lost to ASU and BYU by a combined score of 82 to 21 and those games were not even that close haha.
Tell yourself whatever you need to tell yourself. You will be passed up.
You're so delusional 😂 if they left the Big 12 out of the cfp id throw a party 😊unless its Colorado
Sigh, this guy's tired old takes again. The BIG12 lives rent free in your head bro.
