I didn’t even install an led steering wheel I was just doing the 16+flat bottom steering wheel upgrade and this video was so helpful. Only video I found that took that silver trim piece with the buttons off.

I called your Company Yesterday 7 Sept 2021 and wanted to talk with you about the smart Box but did not know your name. So the customer Service Representative said once I receive my LCD Steering wheel I could call back... but she did not know who did the video. Hello. I have a carbon steer wheel that I wired in a year ago according to this video. It intermittently turns on and off when the car is off, draining the battery. If I plug in the battery tender to prevent the battery from going dead, then the next time the car is turned on the display on the wheel just power cycles. The only way to get the wheel working correctly is to pull the leads on the battery and reset all the cars programs. The carbon steer wheel just has a Bluetooth that plugs into the OBD II to communicate to the steering wheel display, so there is the hot/ground to be wired in. My question is do you think I should have splice into a different 12v wire than what is showed in the video? The symptoms of the wheel turning on/off when the car is off, seem to indicate that the one I spliced into from the video may be a CONSTANT hot. Any help is greatly appreciated
14:13 how did you “test” and have the display on the wheel come on with the car off and the battery disconnected?? I’m wired exactly the same way as in the video, however when I plug the harness in like you did the display does not come on with the car off and battery disconnected.
Gosh, I wished you were up in the Seattle area, love to pay you to do mine.....I'm horrible at working on cars (got the brief history to prove it)....nice job
This video was so helpful! My boyfriend was able to install his new steering wheel with it. The only problem we had was that the horn was stuck and we’re not sure why. Did this happen to you as well? And if so, any tips on how to fix it? Thank you again for the great video!
