Finally, a great walk-through video. ***QUESTION*** Ever since I got mine hooked up, my battery keeps dying after about 1-2 days. Any idea why that would be happening? I am hooked to constant power and appropriate ground. I thought maybe to look for a switched power source, but there doesn't seem to be one!

Just had mine done....wiring harness was incorrect had to use the ild one. My mechanic figured it out...I would've been in trouble...also ck wires red and black are Not the same..worth the effort
i’m guessing you didn’t have the heated portion of the steering wheel? i’m currently trying to figure out where to splice mine into
Great job brother. Although I have a V, I used your video for guidance. Was that the cruise control wires you hooked the red and black wires to? Seemed like it, and that’s what I did. Should finish my install later today to see how it all worked.
Did it work connecting it to the cruise control?
Was that blue and brown wire spliced to a heated wiring? Some of us dont have those wires
Looks awesome! May I make a suggestion. Each of those bolts and screws have a torque specification. I strongly suggest using a torque wrench and using the specs required. Especially on the center hub bolt.
Hey Poppy...your right but you really don't need to with the small screws. That is just common sense to tighten them by feeling with the small screws. :-)

Thanks alot. I have a 2019 2ss an I have 1 of them steering wheel on the way so I definitely think I can install it myself but I'm sure u have too disconnect the negative from the battery first doe right??
Hello, that is very good to hear! you can disconnect both but we only disconnected the red.
Whats the smart box ? And why didn’t you tuck it under the dash ?

Mine came pre-built. Everything except the wires for the led. Do I use the wires from the left side of steering wheel? The cords for the side buttons?

t50 torx, tighten to 33ftlbs.

Yes the smart box does come included with the LED steering wheels.
Do you have to leave that box plugged into the OBD2 at all times?! Is that box what gives the rpm info to the steering wheel? Cool and all but that box to the obd2 makes it kind of janky
You do have to leave the box plugged in but it gives you another OBD II port. I’m trying to figure out a way right now to see if I can hide mine under the plastic or something.
@@ManiDollaz thanks for the info man, my 370z OBD port is inconveniently located for something like this unless I undo it a bit, so I’m thinking I could undo it and put the extension where the original port goes if I get this mod in the future. I love the look, but I have some essentials to cover first.

Yes you loose that option
You loose it unless you have the option built in to the new one then im sure it's plug and play.

If you don't have the heated option you have to wire into the main plug.

I wanted one until I saw the red line lights didn't match the Red line on the car. I'll stick to my heads up display
They are adjustable in the setting menu.
I got a steering wheel like that should my pallet shifters still work I had to switch everything over

First thing first, you need to disconnect the black negative terminal from the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes before removing airbag…..that is so dangerous not doing that!
