- C7 Corvette Z06 Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel and Center Console Instal
In this video I install a new carbon fiber steering wheel and carbon fiber center console in a C7 Corvette Z06. The installation of the steering wheel in the C7 Corvette does not require any special tools, however, you must be careful when removing the airbag. Removing the C7 Corvette steering wheel bolt requires the use of a breaker bar and constant pressure. It helps to have someone hold the steering wheel while breaking the bolt loose.

Love it! Would be great to see the dash install. I have been looking for carbon fiber interior for C7 without success. I would have thought that there would be a huge aftermarket for carbon interior since the cheap plastic is the only knock against the car. Glad I saw your video pop up.
Thanks! I have no first hand experience with the vendor so I can’t speak to cost or service, but the quality, especially on the wheel, was nice. I have the factory gloss carbon dash on my GS and would like more carbon interior pieces, but I’m concerned they won’t match. I may be doing the dash install shortly. Stay tuned!

That’s my concern about buying a wheel like this one...It won’t match my factory carbon fiber weave on the dash.

I recently came across your channel n after seeing the AWE axle back install n hearing those pops n crackles on downshift I just ordered the AWE x pipe n I’m about to order the axle back I’m wondering if u would know since mine is a auto (only thing I kinda regret just not as much fun)u think there be much of a difference in pops n crackles on downshift?
Congrats on scooping up the AWE xpipe! Combined with the axle back, it makes for an awesome combination. Not sure on how it’s going to sound, but make sure you report back after the install and let me know!
How did you put the volume buttons from the stock to the carbon wheel?
It’s been a while since I’ve done a steering wheel. I don’t quite remember how they attach.

This wheel will fit all C7s. I don’t know much about the company, as I installed this on someone else’s car.

I have looked online and there are a few similar to that but not that exact match. I saw a blue one before on a Bentley Continental Gt and it was amazing. And this is the second time I seen that very model on your video. It’s probably the vest steering wheel ever. Not too big and nice and thick. Quite aggressive. Either way I was surprised how easy you made it look in the video and I am now going to do the install myself as that was going to be a big part of the cost. Thank you

U should have pulled it down an not up using for force doing tht cuz I could see u was struggling
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! In order to preserve the camera angle and get a hand from the owner, I opted for that approach. Normally, yes, you are correct, pulling down would have been easier than pushing up. Sometimes you have to adjust your technique while filming. Even more so when using 2 cameras, because you're not always sure which one will end up in the final render. Thanks again for the comment and your support!

Holy sh*t that interior is tacky looking. Like my 12 year old was given carte blanche with an eckler's or west coast corvettes catalogue. Def not my cup of tea. Sometimes less is more

Every body has their own taste but those red knobs and red accents on the vents look absolutely horrible, out of place and cheap. Looks like some rice car from J C Whitney.
