I saw this coming after working on customers cars.On mine I coated the leather with IGL’s leather coat. And covered it with a terry cloth cover that has the corvette emblem stitched into it. Thanks for the video I’ll start suggesting this option to some of my customers.

Hay Brian This same problem exists with the dash leather separating as well. Any solution there? Heat is the problem close to the windshield glass itself. A real eye sore for sure. Any recommendations?

Great information, always learning from you. It's really getting bad with the OEMs and thier cost reduction efforts, it seems as if they are engineering it to last the warranty period, if that.
Hi Brian... Great as always. I have a question if you don't mind. How can I know when the coating applied is already gone and what will be the general process to recoat? This question applies for either coating Leather, Trim, Paint or Wheel.
I wish a company would make paddedarm rests and parts for corvettes that are not so expensive. My Jeep Wrangler Sahara has many mods but there is many selections of parts to choose from at reasonable prices. I know you pay for quality parts and believe me, the parts look like factory issued. C'mon corvette fans.
I just bought a c5 zo6 and the previous owner glued Velcro the the dashboard to secure a dash Matt. How do I get this off without harming the OEM dashboard material?
So is this “leather” really a coated plastic product? My C7 has the micro fiber / alcantra interior, but it suffers the same separation / wrinkle problem. It’s worse on the doors. The microfiber stretches and pulls away from the foam. I have the dreaded 3LT dash - thankfully mine hasn’t separated yet but the edges of the bat wing above the gauges isn’t holding down so great. It’s too tight of an edge, GM should have stitched it in a different place to relieve pressure. The C7 is great, the driving experience is amazing... but in typical GM fashion there are some minor interior and exterior cheapness that shows thru - if you know where to look.
Just a heads up to you: I see you linked Corvette Mods on the description. Their reviews are generally very poor in the Corvette community in terms of customer service. Buyer beware.

You also mentioned we could send in the core for a discount, he suggested otherwise and said they don’t do that? I’m confused now, lol Where did you get the one you replaced in your video? Thanks-

The obvious protection will diminish. Depending on the material...polish or chemical will remove what is left over,.

It is the base model stingray emblem for this particular car. Besides this one...you can get Grand Sport, Zo6, and ZR1
