What a lovely home you’ve created 😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love the armoire!!! Looking for one myself and I appreciate the encouragement to source slowly
You bring such a practical, honest, and heartfelt approach to your design. I appreciate your balanced perspective with regard to new vs used, quality vs convenience, etc. As we continue to settle into our new home we take a similar approach and have always been provided with what we need to finish each space, whether that is a just-in-time fb marketplace find, a sale on the new item sitting in my Wayfair cart, or finding an interesting new spot/use for something we already had!
Thanks for the tour. You have a lovely, cozy, inviting home.
Thank you, it was a joy inviting you into my space 🧡
I absolutely love the first rug you had in your livingroom. I get wanting to switch it up though.
I LOVE that rug too. Can’t wait to fit it into another space eventually!
The door is gorgeous ‼️🤎
THANK YOU! I think so too, can’t wait to update a few other doors in my home with this colour.
Everything looks great! Regarding your ottoman though, please ensure that the paint you get is specifically designed to be used on leather in order to achieve your desired results!
Thank you for sharing your home with us, this was definitely a fun watch 🤍
THANK YOU 🧡 I ended up just reupholstering the ottoman, my husband shared a lot of the same concerns as the comment section 😅 I’ll be featuring it in my next home update video!
Hi Alexandria, I m new here and subscribed. I really love how you experiment and show what you’re not loving. So welcome. I feel I’m a bit the same . U m an unqualified designer myself though, I just know I was born to do this. Currently furnishing a new build my husband and I designed and helped build. Massive project for us. We bought the land 17 months ago and are so proud of our progress. We are now running out of funds and I have lots of people coming to stay for a soft launch so I’m being creative, buying stuff on FB marketplace to flip. Love doing this, so satisfying when you see what you’ve created in the room and know that it’s unique. Paint is my friend!!
Amazing!! Congrats on the new build! FB marketplace is just the best to find unique pieces and adding character!
I’ve been wanting to either do a cafe curtain or a valance on my kitchen window. My kitchen has greens and blues so I’m thinking a little pop of red might be fun. I really like the look of hand blocked Indian fabrics. I do like your kitchen. I support your decision to paint the cabinets even now. I had dark oak cabinets and I painted mine and changed the doors. I know wood is back, but my house has a ton of dark wood and my kitchen looked very dark before. I really want to switch two of my dining chairs for chairs like the slip covered ones you got and put them on either end of my dining table. I love that look. I would rather see a slip cover in a fun fabric for the ottoman or reupholster it. With the tv stand I’d love to see it in a fun color like a red or blue.
Add the caffe curtain! It’s such a simple project and adds a lot of charm, I think a block print would be fabulous! I am also happy to report I did end up reupholstering the ottoman (I’ll be featuring it in my next home update video) 🧡
Well done for creating a beautiful and functional home while staying sustainable and repurposing. I love the colour of the leather ottoman and the patina it has developed. It looks very chic like genuine expensive leather. I also tbh k that the color ties together the dining and living space. I am not a fan of painted leather as I think painted leather more often than not looks like faux leather. But I do get that you’re looking for a refresh.
Thanks so much 🧡 I did end up refreshing the ottoman BUT I am happy to report I didn’t paint it! I’ll be sharing the details in my next home update video 🤗
Not yellow. The natural wood brings the same vibe. 😊
Thanks! I was also considering keeping it the natural wood, we shall see!
You lost me on painting the leather.
Remove the ikea tag from your curtains please
Is it distasteful to you 😂
