I don't talk about it much but I live with an incurable illness that's forced me to rely on my RUclips channel as my only source of income to survive. That said PLEASE consider using my links in the description - it not only helps the channel but helps keep my life afloat. BIG THANK YOU to those that do.
It’s available at less than $700 today. Adding a Dell employee discount is brining it down to $600 including taxes. I think that’s a good deal for this monitor
Hi Jacob, thnx for the review. This helps me choosing the right monitor! But two other things draw my attention: 1. What is this black diagonal monitor arm you use? It looks great, from what I can see from here. I'm very much interested. 2. And that lamp over your monitor. What make and model is that? And doesn't it interfere with the monitor screen itself? Cheers, Philippe
Great video. You mention how great the color accuracy is for photographers and creators. What about graphic design. Does the curved screen work well when designing print ads and trying to create straight lines. Thanks
Yeah. I charge the new m2 pro mbp from it. No problem. The laptop gets enough power delivered to run without discharging. I have the same dell at work but 42 inch version and it has 115wats
One of the things I worry about on IPS monitors is light bleed deffects. Have you seen any white glare effect in the corners with a completely black screen monitor? Thanks for the detailed review.

Your recommended alternative has half the contrast ratio, this Dell has a new generation 'IPS Black' panel which the BenQ does not
6:50 secs to say it's too expensive. As of today, it's $735. So does that make it a better deal now?
great video, can you tell us or link to the desk mount /wo the stand and that light sitting on top of the monitor?
Two questions: What is the link to the monitor mount? and what is the link to the lamp mounted on the monitor? Thanks.
Does your final opinion change when considering that the Dell is now cheaper than the BenQ?
If it's cheaper now then I'd say go for it, maybe they figured out they overpriced it at launch
@@JacobDarkOfficial I appreciate the honesty! You’re the only person I can find that talks directly about these two models

I believe it not too exspensive because it has real 10bit color, not 8bit + frc
where did you saw that it has true 10bit color?

the price is now lower better to buy this now?
Would I be able to daisy chain another display with this? I am planning a hell of an editing rig and that would be essential for me.
I can get the U3425WE FOR $700 now. I’m curious if you would recommend this over the BENQ at this price point?

Can anyone speak to the potential for screen tearing with this monitor?
Please tell what Benq monitor do you have?
Check the description under BEST Photo/Video Editing Monitor
@@JacobDarkOfficial link's broken
Why not ? Because is it expensive ???? (DELL)
Fwiw they are now cheaper than the BenQ monitor you linked
Nice video, thank you for this. Quick question, what is the model of light that you mount on top of the monitor?
Heard this monitor with some coil whine especially LAN port is not in use, may I know anyone with this experience as well?
Yes, I did

I feel like your eyes adjust to the curves but if line work is super important you may want to consider a flat panel
I'll have to watch this when I get down time soon. Is it a lesser gamer RGB bulky mess of the Alienware?
Not really a gaming monitor, wouldn't recommend for that
@Jacob Dark Yeah, IPS at 1440 and 60hz with a $1200 price point. Not really sure who this is even for.
@@georgejones5019 Seriously.. I have no idea why it costs this much. I can get an LG monitor with those same specs for under $400.
Thanks for this review. But, will this screen charge a laptop? In Dell's description it says both 90 and15 W delivery over usb. 15 is not enough🙁
Yes one connector is 90w and the other is 15w

$663 for Dell premiere customers.
I’ll stick to my cheaper 34” Dell VA. This one is just way too expensive for what it is. I love that port selection though
The 38" looks good but the 60hz is a total downer for me. Wish they would have made 120-144hz version. Such bad move from dell
New one has ips black + higher refreshrate

I have the older version but no
Communicating with DELL now for screws popping out thru the screen on this model. Monitor over heats and non-usable. Anyone else? Buyer beware.
Wow that sucks, hope they send you a new monitor.
just wanna say the intro goes hard
Appreciate it 💯
Great video. And I loved the fact that you actually measured the height of the display and the stand. That was really really helpful.
I got my oled tv for gaming . I’m getting one only for productivity so this one is perfect
Dell does such a terrible job packaging its monitors. There is very little innovation
You’re paying for a monitor not a box.
@@SunsetNovaYes, I’m paying for a monitor and it shouldn’t arrive broken because dell is too cheap with their packaging . Who loses?

JUST GOT MINE FOR 200 OFF EBAY
how was the experience using it?
@xnoper4954 umm not bad I haven't got to game on it yet but movies and youtube is great and internet stuff
How’s 4k Netflix on windows? I found that if you try to watch a 4k movie on a 1440p screen it may not play ball
