- In this video we continue Sam's 2021 Ford F150 build with several new add-ons. Sam opted for the Line-X Premium Bedspray Liner and a soft roll-up tonneau cover. We compare his Premium Line-X to Brad's traditional Line-X as well as Brad's hardtop tri-fold bed cover. We also show you a few things to look out for when you buy your new 2021 Ford F150 off of your dealer lot or take delivery of a ordered build. Sam also gives you Ford part numbers for his floor mats and wheel well liners. Finally, we show you the offset and poke of his new wheel and tire setup consisting of 20" Venomrex VR602 wheels with a 12mm offset and 305/55/20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires (33" tall x 12.44" wide) with a 1.5" poke outside of then fenders. Well fellas, pulled the trigger and ordered my 2021 Lariat 4x4. Went with Space White/black leather, 502A, chrome package. Thx big Sam.

All the extra details he describes about Line-x were done in my truck and help protect when hauling gravel etc. Great informative video. This product is worth every cent. Holds out well with work use and extreme hot/cold Canadian weather too

The wheel liners are a must. Things like that and bed liners (drop-in at a minimum) should come as standard equipment.
100% The wheel liners should come from the factory on every truck. Heck, I can't think of a car that doesn't have have wheel well liners from the factory other than trucks. Bed liners weither spray in or drop in are an option from the factory but it seems like dealers and most buyers choose the third option which is neither. I prefer to get my bedliner locally where I know they do a good job.
Drop ins suck. I have one and would rather have no liner then a drop in liner😂

Love the build so far - I have the same tire/wheel setup ordered now looking for my truck:-). I like that Line-x but also looking into the bedrug - have you ever done a comparison that led to choosing Line-X?
Congrats Richard! I've had factory spray in liners, drop in liners, rubber mat only, and Line-X. It depends on how you're going to use your truck. If you only use your bed occasionally a bed mat or the bed rug might work for you. I have rental properties and flip houses so my bed gets used quite a bit. I like to be able to throw stuff in and not worry about it. At the end of the day I prefer to shop local and I know the guys at Line-X will do a great job and their quality is second to none.
Thanks for the LineX info - I have a 4x2 Supercab Lariat Sport in Leadfoot on order and was wondering if the LineX premium is worth it...seems like it is for what I am looking for. I enjoy your channel.
If you don't want the bed liner to look matte in a year or two the premium is the way to go.

Maybe you heard us wrong? My truck has 3.73 gears in it. We did mention that with a bigger wheel and tire combo, the 3.31's would have a little harder time with it. I hope we don't end up changing out the gears, hopefully we learned our lesson with Brad's truck lol!
What is the cost difference for line-x vs factory spray liner?
Truxcedo Sentry is secure and worth considering
the line x premium, is it nothing more than a clear coat over top the spray on liner? Is the premium line x more slipperier than the non premium option?
Hope you're still looking at comments. Two questions, Would you consider adding the Line-X to the wheel wells instead of using the snap in plastic liners??? and did you have to align your headlights after the leveling kit? I've seen a few vids on the leveling kits but no mention of the headlight alignment. 2023 XLT 4X4 max tow package (on order) so I'm pretty sure I'll need the leveling kit.
A 2 inch level is nowhere near a height difference where any headlight alignment is necessary

I love that LineX Premium finish! I was planning to go with the factory installed spray-in bed liner, but this is clearly a better quality option. Did this cost more than the $595 that Ford charges?
The premium was a little more but the basic line-x is a better coverage with more areas sprayed for the same price. The premium on Sam’s truck is awesome!

Do you guys had any trouble with the tailgate electronic system after spraying? I asked because I paid to get my truck sprayed and the dealer told me they don’t do tailgate because it cause damage to the tailgate due to the extra weight.
No issues at all. My tailgate will still go up by itself with a couple 2x4s laying flat. It will raise them up with it. The extra weight isn't an issue.
Did you have to get the tailgate camera recalibrated? I thought I heard someone in a video saying it was a problem when they had their tailgate removed.
It wasn't an issue. Everything worked just fine after it was reinstalled. Thanks for watching Drew!

When I search on the floor liner part number I see that it states "for use over vinyl flooring" any idea why it would not work on carpet? I assume you are having no issues?
We noticed that when I picked them up at Ford parts. They still have the rubber teeth on the back that grip carpet. No issues whatsoever.
Did they pull off the bed rails when doing the linex or just tape?
Line X is a BIG DIASAPPOINTMENT! It has no transparent colorless version of itself. At least the acrylinc based-PERMACRETE is HONEST enough to show that sunlight can pass through it! The reason is simple, so that one can see what is happening underneath all of that Line X coating and to check it with just one look if Line X is really keeping it's promised claims.
Man I wish you would have opened the lock box, I had know idea I could get that when I ordered my 21 , can you fit Gun’s in there , my build date is March 15 , I wonder if it’s to late to add it 😢
Great idea Greg! It will definitely be putting that in a video very soon. I'm 100% sure you can fit at least one AR in there. I'll figure out just how many. If they stack it could be quite a few.

Did you consider having Line X sprayed in your wheel wells instead I’ve using a liner? Pros/cons?
The liner keeps mud and debris from getting all over the entire under bed area. Line-x could cover the body color of the bed but it wouldn’t add the blocking ability of liners. Liners clean easy as well. Especially if you ceramic coat them.
Love the color, on camera it doesn't look as gray as it does in real life, but for some reason Ford will not let you order it with the power boost option, no matter what trim you get, very frustrating, but your truck looks awesome.
Powerboosts all come from Michigan, while Space White only comes from the other factory.

Mine’s Ford Factory and it doesn’t look near as good as that LineX. Have you considered adding the LED light bar under the tailgate to emphasize the brake lights? I’d like to see an install video on one of those.
The dealer told that when I ordered mine just picked my truck up can’t get into linex till may I’m in western md. There is a shortage on everything trucks of all kinds are sell like crazy

They are independently owned but should follow the same procedures.

I was told by my dealer that once the bed bolts come out they have to be replaced. One time use
I don’t think line-x replaces them…
Hey I think you can just loosen bolts out about an inch or so not removing them out fully tape up and apply bed liner. This way you won’t cross thread them.

Unsprung weight is the devil! Honestly it’s a ratio of almost 4 to 1. 400lbs increase in unsprung weight is equal to hauling 1600lbs in payload.

My Line-X has held up to years of snowmobile studs and carbides in its most vulnerable state (cold & brittle). Available at more locations, and has a full lifetime warranty, vs Ziebart's limited.
