On my first ride in Newcastle I managed to meet up with fellow RUclipsr Francis Cade. He set me up with a bike (of his girlfriend) and took me out for a great tour through the Pennines of England.

She potentially committed manslaughter right there and well captured on video for the court.
I do hope it was reported. Close passes on quiet roads when not expected are the most dangerous kind.

These are my training roads! It truly is never flat and you were so lucky with the weather.
The pile of rocks is a Cairn. In the North Pennines, they are known as a "Currick" - basically an ancient way-marker to help people keep on the path when its foggy or cloudy or snowy. Normally they are at high points, such as summits or in cols, and this one represents the summit of the road. Normally they're a wee bit more rugged, but that one looks like its been professionally built.
And Northumberland being the "border country" is in reference to the fact that it forms the border of Scotland - Just like the Scottish Borders - the county on the Scottish side.

Next time you will have to do a ride to Elsdon and if you bring a gravel bike you can try some of the hills in North Northumberland like Cheviot (Ch ee vee ot) etc. You managed to pick out a great day, apart from that one driver.

Close pass driving is a problem across the UK, on the increase, and the police encourage people to submit footage like yours so they can prevent future accidents. Just saying.
