Imagine wanting to turn around noticing you don't remember the side home
Wait.. accutally LMAOO
the sun ... or Garmin ha ha ha
Hahaha. Before I was there I looked at routes and saved a bunch on my Strava routes etc but once I was there, it was all very easy and didn’t need the pre-planned routes at all tbh
why did reading that give me anxiety :L:L
@@gavinburke2572 Domt worry too much, u can probably take the right way by memorizing in which side of the road the sun was when u got there
Been a pleasure riding with you Jasper (Volker here 😊)
Volker 007
This reminds me of the stretch of the bike road between Vienna and Bratislava. A bit greener but equally endless.
Had some great runs there with my aero bars. Drove mostly in the late evening - when the wind can be brutal. Enjoyed being 100% focused on my technique. It was a challenge with random people walking around on the track that did not understand that my viewing distance was like 2 meters. 😬
🤙🏻🤙🏻 yeah you can get 100% pedaling time and great efficient training there!
Hey Jasper, I ordered some Optimaize Chain wax. I live in Arizona, USA. It really works. Did a 3 hour MTB ride and my chain is still perfectly clean! Thanks
Great to hear man!!
Used to cycle out there quite a bit when I lived in Dubai. Every once in a while we would see a herd of Arabian Oryx out there. One ride they decided to cross the path right in front of us. About the only sign of life out there.
Ive seen some Oryx and giraffe (from the ruler) when i was there 👍🏻
Je suis français et je découvre ta chaîne! Super vidéos, agréables à regarder, et j'entraine mon anglais en même temps! Tu mérites plus d'abonnés. Road to 100k :)
I translated your comment with Google. Thanks for the support mate. Salut!
“We bought a cycling team. And Tadej is winning.”
“What? Motorcycle?”
“No, Sir. Bicycles.”
“Well then, build a cycling lane! Today, while we are winning!”
I've lived in Scotland for some years now and here 12 degrees is when you put a t-shirt on :D
🤣🤣🥶
All my respect to you. Keep pushing hard. Big hug from Mallorca.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Completely agree with you, having to bring your bike by car kinda ruins the purpose for me, cheers!
Hey nice video, always interesting to hear what people think of Al Qudra.
Just to answer your question about the "Jurassic Loop" - it is based on a new 11km piece of track installed when they were doing work to the Innovation Centre. I was one of the first to ride it and created a segment on Strava. First thing that came to my mind was an old Alan Partridge expression when he gets excited about something (a Steve Coogan character for those who are not familiar). And so the segment was named "Jurassic Park".
So you are the one that created this name!?🙌🏻
yoo00000 Jasper! Looks like you are having fun in the sun! I wouldn't enjoy the desert..
Fun cycling! I can't imagine to ride solo haha (such a mental training :D)
I always ride solo. Just get used to it
You can take Uber from the first parking lot if you don't have a car. If you are further out, cell phones don't work (at least 5 years ago when I was last there). You'll have to take off front and rear tires to fit in trunk but I've done it many times since I didn't have a car in Dubai. Pro tip- some group rides start at 5am to avoid heat. I have some fond memories from that track.
Uber 5x a week would be dedication 😜
@@jasperverkuijl The rumor was that they would add connecting paths to the city center. Don't know if they've done that yet. You could ride from central Dubai to the bike path and then do your 200K! Easy ride for you :)
@@russwright yeah that would be great. Than we can stay in a hotel closer to the beach on our next holiday 🤣
Looks like a great track for inline speed skating!
Yeah I think I saw one but can’t remember !
Man I would love to ride this.. just you and your bike...
Must to be heaven to do long Z2 rides with or without zone specific Interval without traffic or stops
Yeah I usually get that all the time back home so that wasn’t that special to me.
Just the nice warm temperatures we’re great 👌🏻
@@jasperverkuijl i know the Netherlands have also Nice lanes, @ Belgium, East flanders is not an ideal place to ride a fast racebike, every 100m there is something sinds this winter i ride mostly outside with my canyon grail(slower and more safe) . Riding above 30km/h in flanders with my racebike on cracked roads in winter is to much on off power to do à good steady zone ride. Now and than I go to Zuid Holland or Zeeland with my bikers to do longer steady rides. Indeed good weather is à good stimulus to ride further and longer
actually the first cycling vlog i see from you where you did not drop your riding buddy within 10mins of riding :D
🤣🤣 haha true. Probably not ever going happen with volker, he’s legit!💪🏻
So happy to see you visiting my country
He was critisicim it a lot lool at his first vodeo😅
It was still a great holiday and really good training!
How sweet, such a long ride on great tarmac and in complete safety.. The views look awesome also..
It really is!
Hi Jasper, Welke lamp heb jij op jou garmin houder? ik ben juist op zoek naar zo iets! ik hoor het graag!
Dit is van fenix lights
Looks like a great road to do efforts on
It is! I did lots of different training sessions and al of them are interrupted and as hard, slow or long as you want to go 👌🏻
27km of straight road? Suppose it’s good for building mental strength lol
Aah well, there is actually stuf along the way to look at. Birds and stuff.
And it gives time to think about stuff. My video ideas mostly happen on the bike!
sounds like the dream
It’s a bit dreamy indeed when you’re there riding through a desert on a bike lane 🤣
lol i was there back in october and it looks like i lived in the building across the road )))
Btw, the sunrise on this bike line is amazing.
Yeah good place to stay for training 👌🏻
Yeah sunrises where nice out there!👌🏻👌🏻
Yasper u sun of a Gunn 😅🔨excellent adventures in the desert
🔥💪🏻
Coure d'alene, idaho has an old railway paved 75 miles long if I remember rite.not boring at all..perhaps ur a pro might of trained there.. lions tigers and bears.i never pedal my injury..
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
You leave all your data to the VPN Provider :D
I’m looking in to potentially move out to dubai, or at least have the option to spend half the year. A few guys I know train on this loop often and they only do it as it’s totally safe to train however hard or easy base miles as you want.
Yeah once you’re there it’s a great place to get training in!!🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@jasperverkuijl great weather before it gets too hot and clean smooth tarmac 👌🏻😍
Dude you should come out to Quebec and do the P'tit Train du Nord rail trail, I think you would really dig it!
looks so goooood
🙌🏻🙌🏻
I avoid a local road becasue it has a 2km straight and I get bored on that!
Hahaha. Ok. Guess you’re attention span is a bit short. Dubai cycling would not suit you haha
How's the yoeleo bike? Is it nice?
Yeah it’s a nice bike. Total bike is a bit heavy but that’s fine for the flat🤙🏻
This is crazy
Crazy 🤪 or crazy🤙🏻 ?
😍😍😍
Wow... Very wide road and full sand
Yeah lots of sand!😂
Nice Yoeleo
Thanks
200KM in 6 hours.. . That's just mind blowing to me.
Yep, speeds are high on Al Qudra!
how so? it's 33 avg, which is then somewhat in the 220-270W range depending on how aero you can be. don't forget, there are not traffic lights and you're unstoppable. the surface is smooth and it's all there to be high speed.
@@timvanmonero2720 I rode 119km in just over 7 hours. do he rode about twice as fast as me. For Me, that's mind blowing. Maybe for you and Mathieu van der Poel that's nothing special.
@@DrewMtl that's good. you rode 119km. kudos!
let's face the facts. jesper is a trained cyclist from the netherlands with not just huge volume (base) but also an FTP of north of 350W. that's def. above 4.5/KG.
he produced 250W avg for those hours, which is for him just an endurance ride.
his frontal area isn't the biggest, his power is high and the equipment is fast. this all leads to fast speeds.
@@DrewMtl That is slow as hell, did you travel backwards or on a unicycle?
Damn that's long.
It’s long indeed!
imagine puncturing your tires midway
In Dubai, they just send a heli to come get you 😆😆
Not much scenery, hopefully they are going to build some nature there.
They planted lots of trees along the track 😉
You understand that “nature” in the desert is….. desert?
@@jasperverkuijl Dubai is always trying to brake nature. So i would not be surprised if they want rainforest there. I also prefer roads that goes from a place to another. For example between cities.
Al Qudra Cycling track very very nice!!!!!
Yes super smooth 👌🏻
@@jasperverkuijl I live here in Al Ain and sometimes I go to Al qudra !!!
El camino de la serpiente existe.
I wonder what koms are out there
They are crazy fast.
All of them are 50-60km/h. Even the hour long segments!
@Jasper Verkuijl that's crazy lol, like you said need a tt bike and a 30mph tailwind
👍🚴🏻♂️
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Did you receive an email "Nature Breaks" from me on March 10?
I get so many emails. I saw something I think.
@@jasperverkuijl If I may politely ask, are you a professional cyclist? How do you pay your bills? Are you sponsored and living in UAE? Thank you.
@@richardrogers229 living in UAE? Just watch previous video where I explain I was on holiday.
Not a pro, RUclips is a job next to my other job. It’s not that hard to find out what else I do for a living 🥸
How do i get my wife to be okay with me leaving her and the kids for 6-7 hrs when we are on holiday? 😂
Leave early so they only notice the last 2 hours.
The rest of the day you’re present.
And the fact that she knows your unhappy when you can’t ride will make her want you to go ride 😉
Watch my Tenerife holiday/training video too!
I'm gently going through all of your content during zwifting and papadag, so i'll probably stumble on that soon! Thnx for the advice, keep on going, see ya!
@@Superdouwe990 awesome!!!!
Take grab to cycling tracks a lot money one way if two’s way . If cycling 4 time a week $$$$$$ .
bruh how many ad's in one vid
I don’t know. RUclips decides
Pedal 175 as a 12 yr old boy ..
? What
Miles
Life ist too short to ride boring
It’s too short to train inefficient too!
@@jasperverkuijl Hmmm ... I guess you have a smart trainer 🙈😋
@@robertgreiner4703 i do, but only use it when it’s cold and wet.
The location I leave I can ride without traffic, intersections or whatever. 3hour riding without stopping is normal for me 👍🏻
Lose your disc brake, you don’t need it here
Yeah thought about leaving them home but it’s a bit weird to ride without brakes at all
Definitely boring especially if solo ride.
I think it’s not as bad as it seems
The rest of the world are put to shame by the bike paths this country provides, and they maintain them, my City of Liverpool here in England 🏴 don't give a shite about cyclist's 🤬🤬🤬
But if a rich Arab kills you likely he will get away.. I lived there it was amazing and fun but civil liberties are non existent
Too bad they don’t…. Hope it will change in the future
If it is boring go faster
Even faster?
1st
Always someone that’s first!🤙🏻
I can only advise you to not travel the UAE alone if you are a women.
The sponsoring stuff is getting too much space in your Videos.
The man has bills, and a family to support, bro. Just skip past it if you're that butthurt about them.
🙏🏻 glad you get it
@@LouieBaLLz Ah I see, now I got it. The paycheck as a pilot has to be that bad, so he needs every penny he can get...
I dont want to blame him. He is a great cyclist and does nice videos and content. I Just think they could be even better if he wouldn't spend so much time in the video for merch.
@@wolfganghuber7873 You're not very bright, are you? Would you like to have multiple jobs, and only get paid for one?
The "paycheck as a pilot" is to fly planes. It's not to provide you with content on RUclips. THAT paycheck comes from adds, and sponsors. Get it now?
Why do people get into cycling? Its expensive, dangerous and looks uncomfortable as hell. Just go for a run like a normal person!
Run Forrest run! 🏃♀️
So cool! long distance flight to the longest bike lane made by modern Day slaves. The true sprit of cycling🤮
Wauw thank you for your positivity. So nice to read your comment!
Yeah true, just like the 1950's and 60's "slaves" made and helped Germany, Britain and France etc basically modern Western Europe back on their feet after WW2 and now these countries don't integrate or accept their slaves or children or children's children of the original slaves... voting for radical parties or thinking Brexit would make it "pure" again from "slaves" .... you're right there buddy! NOT!
man thats boring
It depends
Hey,Bro. Would u be interested in testing a bike phone mount for free?
