- I travel to the heart of Newcastle on my trusty Honda Supercub c50. On my Honda Supercub I look at some historical inventions from Newcastle made by the Geordie people of the North. I then head into the spectacular Northern Penines which was a chalenge for the little Honda c50.

I also meet a pleasant Northerner who has some interesting stories of his youth involving Honda Supercubs..... Yeah... he knicked them. Its quite suprising as he is the Second individual who has told me that.

I've had a few people tell me they used nick cubs as well, bit of a weird thing to admit to it :P My Cub was actually stolen last year (from North Shields actually haha) got it back though, they dumped it in Wallsend after about an hour of joyriding. After a few repairs it's back to being my daily driver.
I think I might have passed you a couple of times on my way back from work, I volunteer at the windmill in Sunderland. Do swing by some day if you want a Cub chat, I'm there most Wednesdays :)

Mine's a red square headlight one, but I've seen a gold one around which is probably that same one you've seen.
I've just dropped a Lifan 125cc engine in mine last month, I somehow managed to seize up the 90 engine while doing 30mph on the A19 down by Middlesbrough back in April. I had trouble with the engine before that tbh so I'm saving up to get it fully rebuilt.
Giving the engine a good running next week, off on holiday down to Sussex. Taking it down in a van then going to buzz around on it :)

How to "Nick" a Honda 50 ...1 remove battery cover , just behind the battery is 2 black wires un-plug one ( cant remember which but HEY you only got 2 ) then off you go...

Well it will take a bit longer but it will easily do a 300k trip.
Ran out of petrol on a Honda 50???? HOW?? I think you can get to the moon and back on a pint of fuel...
Don't be silly😅 Had a 2nd hand 50cc HONDA (1960's) and later a new Suzuki 50cc (1970's)
Probably, 100 mls "IF" you had a proper sized fuel tank.
NOT with a half gallon tank !😅 (50mls+🤞) For ever stopping to refuel🙁 As I found out to my cost in the early hours crossing 1970's London with no night time fuel (closed) available.
Different now of course, but I would still carry some spare, in a flask, as back up just in case on longer trips 😊

It’s in km’s as it is a Japanese import, it’s unlikely you will ever get fast enough to break the speed limit.
Dashboard is KPH. The spedo showed 50 KPH max which equals 31.06 MPH
Lol I feel like telling someone they used to steal bikes (not to mention your specific kind of bike) isn't something someone should go around saying xD but eh, I just hope he stopped you know? Lol
How much cost do you buy this Cub ?
