The Mrs. Has been talking about a small shotgun for her to use as her home defence gun, and I was considering this. Great idea by RIA. But she is 65 with a bit of arthritis, and can't handle the recoil of a 12 ga, and after talking to RIA, they are not going to make it in 20 ga or 410. The search continues.
What’s a pistol purchase permit ? Like a permit to buy pistols ? Do you still have to go threw the regular background check or can you walk right out the same day if you have this so-called permit?
No. Not as shipped. If you modify, for example by adding a stock so as to be shouldered when fired, then it might become an SBS, with all the associated baggage.
Been on the fence about the VR series for years because they seem to be the most reliable of the bunch... but still highly unreliable compared to tube-fed. Box mags will compress the shells which cause misfeeds in semi auto.
You need a stiff hulled shell like Winchester AA if you are gonna leave your mags loaded. I would keep 4 +1 in a 5 rounder for home defense and you should be fine.
@@mrgrump2534 a drum mag is a range toy and should never be relied on for home defense. It would likely be even more susceptible to shell deformation due to all that weight.
Yes. You should look at the law. It's silly like the rest of them, so if it's an ENTIRE HAND WIDTH, it is illegal. But if it's just 3 fingers, it's legal. Also, if you have one that is NOT 90° but full hand width... that is legal, but 90° full hand width is illegal. Also, if it's CURVED and full hand width, that too is legal. 😂
Is legal. 26 U.S.C 5845(e) indicates by atf indicates that adding a fore grip to a handgun is illegal. As he indicates in this video, atf has not designated it a handgun, rifle, or shotgun. Only that it is a firearm.
Lol I bet you would like it better if you didn't shoot it like that. I can tell you didn't like it, it's obvious. You tried it one handed, which is understandable, but try using 2 hands like ANYONE ELSE WOULD
Are you gonna put this on every video about this "firearm"? You would still go to jail because your VR60 was manufactured as a non NFA shotgun and you are converted it into a SBR ILLEGALLY which would require a class 3 tax stamp. Let me know what prison you end up in and I'll send you letters
@@KingFergus If Rock Island Armory can make BOTH guns, why can't I convert the VR60 into the specifications of the newer model MADE BY THE SAME COMPANY? Which, I might add, DO NOT VIOLATE FEDERAL LAW!

The way this guy shoots the firearm...I guess that is why lawyers have jobs
Maybe you guys should start selling those in New York. I heard the mayor wants everyone to be armed
I wonder if you could design a “bullpup” mod for it to attach to all the rails? Oh wait yes you could lol
I think it'd be dope if they could make a compact drum mag
There is a 25 rd drum that it can run.

Can we add a vertical grip to it?
does anyone make a folding brace for that? That would be cool...
They do. I just bought this for $249 and put on a folding stock

what does the buffer bolt system mean and what are its benefits?

Nope, because it's a FIREARM. Not a pistol. Thought he said that.
