So is Sig going to make it a game changer for thermal and range finder design by using the buyer as a beta tester to find flaws and defects while refusing to admit they are and issuing a not-a-recall but it really is?

Can we see the warranty info in writing? I’d like to see the fine print of the lifetime warranty

On the product page for the SIG ECHO SV50-LRF it says it is covered by SIG's "Electro-Optic Infinite Guarantee." Here is the fine print.
      "
      SIG SAUER® Electro-Optic Infinite Guarantee™ / Limited Lifetime Warranty

@@PelenTan I replied to this with the warranty directly from sigs website and it looks like he deleted it lol. Probably because the warranty states - 1. its only for commercial customers and - 2. it doesn't cover the electrical components.

Interest and appealing, it’s always tough as tech improves then becomes obsolete so then it feels like when to pull the trigger. Lifetime guarantee from a solid company sounds good.

Lifetime warranty is pointless. I’ve been in the thermal game for a while now. That technology used in the thermal imaging industry is changing so fast, you won’t have that scope longer than 3-5 years before it’s obsolete. Look at it the same way you do televisions now. No one is getting in line to buy a plasma screen tv anymore

speaking to the SIG SAUER® Electro-Optic Infinite Guarantee
i believe only the sensor is warrantied for lifetime - Sig's website shows (in writing) that the warranty "EXCLUDES electronic components" (which i assume is the video display, the buttons, the processor etc.) and doesn't specify the term period for warranty on these components or what they are.
I would very much proceed with caution on this blanket statement that the thermal is warrantied for LIFE
Side note: The used market will be the test bed for Sig upholding these warranties - I can imagine in 5-10 years when the performance is so far beyond the capabilities of this SV50 LRF that people will be buying them for $ 1K and turning them into Sig not working expecting the latest replacement. Thats not a viable business position for Sig, now or ever. . .

Way too expensive in todays market if not a 1280. Rix has set the market for super clear thermal in their storm S6 and Leap L6. These other companies are going to have to get on board or miss out.

    A complete rip off
    It's a 12 micron, 640 sensor with a 50mm lens , LRF and ballistic calculator for $6000
In the UK I can buy a HIK Panther PQ50L(same as the AGM Varmint V2 50-640) thermal scope with exactly the same specification for less than $4k
