Thank you for the quick and thorough tutorial. I stared playing Everdell about a month ago, and this video showed me at least a couple things that I hadn't noticed: the card count displayed on each critter/construction card, and that the Wanderer doesn't take up a city space.
This was fantastic. Love the format of explanation, far better than others. Only thing I would love to see at the end is an example round, showing each player taking a turn (or two!). I think that would fully solidify everything explained. Still, this was great!
Thank you so much for your comment and for the suggestion. I have tried playing turns on other games, it's something I haven't quite cracked with the structure and time; but I agree, for some games it would be valuable to run through a few rounds. Enjoy the game :) I just got the big box, so I'm excited to play the expansions!
Just finally got Everdell for Christmas. Watched some videos and tried playing, but it’s so haaaard! Thank you for the video…it’s the first explanation I’ve seen about good use of the cards. I’ll try again!
Great video, thanks! FYI the discard pile is face up in your video but is supposed to be face down so players do not use it to learn what cards have been depleted from the deck. EDIT: Also, I subscribed based on the quality of this video! Thanks again!
So excited to see this video! I’m saving this for sure as I think I may be getting this game for the holidays! I would love to see a video for The Lost Ruins of Arnak, as well. Thank you so much!
My biggest problem with this game.. well two big problems: 1. Analysis paralysis. There are often so many things you can do, and even more if you project into the future. This can often lead me to getting frustrated and indecisive heh 2. Pace. Is it just me, are we doing something wrong? The game seems to build up extremely slow and then END just when you are starting to actually be able to do things. I've been tempted to play this where you go through multiple years.
Lost Ruins of Arnak, which I love, every time I play, the rounds go so fast, I sometimes lose track and before I know it, it’s the end of the game and I’m desperately trying to complete things. With Everdell I am ok. I want to play more expansions, and I’ve said to myself I will do it this year :)
Great video! Your explanations are very clear & concise. I just picked this up yesterday and going to play with the family tonight. I noticed you sleeved the cards, are you using clear or matte ones? I can’t decide which to use. Cheers
Thank you so much! I didn't know there was a choice. Mine are clear. I usually go to www.sleeveyourgames.com/ for the right size and get Mayday or Gamegenic sleeves.
This feels like a summary of the rules in the manual. I was hoping to get a context of the goals and how things feed one another toward gaining points, but the game is so complex, it feels like someone was high and made up a bunch of rules and wrote them down. None of this makes any sense. What helps me get points? Everything feels so random. They should have named it Everrandom.
Video correction: In the video I make a mistake of putting the discard pile face up, this should be face down.
I think this is the best, most enjoyable, and easy to watch Everdell explanation I have seen on RUclips!
Thank you so much, it’s very kind. Glad you liked it and I hope you enjoy the game, it’s lovely!
Short and clear overall rules and way to play. Well done.
Thank you, it's very kind. I enjoyed making the video very much :)

I'm so glad it was useful. It's a beautiful game, with so many details. I hope to make some videos on the expansions, which I've heard are very good.
Just saved 30h of understanding the game. Perfect and short video, thank you Savinia and Peter!
So glad it was useful! Enjoy the game, it's wonderful :)
Thanks for the explanation! Honestly your clarity rivals Rodney Smith's. And you even put winning tips in your vids
Thank you so much, it's very kind :) Enjoy Everdell, it's such a lovely game.

5:20 WOW, didn't know that! Wish we saw that when we played the first time and didn't hope for cards that were too few in numbers 🤧
I know, right! Same happened to me :)
Great explanation!

This is my new favourite boardgame, got it for my birthday
It's great, I love it as well!
My girlfriend said she couldn’t hear a word you said because she was hypnotised by Peter.
He can be distracting :) - although in this video he was quite mellow. Some others he is very active!
So excited to see this video! I’m saving this for sure as I think I may be getting this game for the holidays! I would love to see a video for The Lost Ruins of Arnak, as well. Thank you so much!

@@GamesMadeEasy it's an amazing game played it for the first time today and it's really one of my favourites already
Yes, I love it too. I still need to play the expansions.
@@GamesMadeEasy I wanna intro it to more people before I buy expansions but If it goes over well at my club I'm in
Great content! Congratulations.
Thank you so much!

I use matte back Dragon shield sleeves because the textured back keeps the big stack of cards from sliding off each other
Thank you
You're welcome :)
Very nice video, you have a lovely accent!
Thank you so much! It's very kind.
Where can i purchase the card sleeves? I just ordered boardgame. Thanks.
I use mostly Gamegenic and Mayday sleeves. You can buy them online. This website is quite useful to get the right size: www.sleeveyourgames.com/
Nice! Out of curiosity what sleeves did you use?
Thank you! I usually use Mayday or Gamegenic.
👍👍👍

You're welcome
Thanks for the how to! On a different note, can you read to me every night before bed? Your voice is so winsome to my ears! :)
Oh my, thank you, you've made me laugh :) You're very welcome, enjoy Everdell.
Very well explained. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
