I have a list of games I dearly want to play but seem doomed to be only solo. Everdell is like that I’m working my way through one of my own as well. I also find with some of these games, after setup I need a nap or another cider. Both of which get in the way.
Yeah, set up is definitely a thing with this one. A time where it would actually be pretty nice to have a buddy there to take part of it. I think that’s why they tell you to play 3 games, so it doesn’t feel like you were setting up longer than you’re playing!
I was under the impression you could only play a critter for free as you were playing its construction and once you played the card you couldn’t play its critter for free later in the game? Is that wrong?
This is my absolute favorite all time video learning a board game. Easy and hilarious. 10/10. Thank you for the laughs.

Cool overview. Can I interact with Rugwort's cards though? With a Ranger or such card.
Nope! Once Rugwort picks them up, they essentially become blank except for their color.
New fan here! You're great! I like your humor and how you explain these. If you don't mind, where'd you get that Orwell shirt??
Thanks so much!
Not sure if it’s still there, but I got it at outofprint.com!
@@thegrouchynerd I appreciate it! I'm watching your video on Black Sonata now. Never heard of it, but I am intrigued. Keep up the good work!

Nope, the construction card just already needs to be there. Doesn’t have to be at the same time, or even the same season!
