New hover vehicle to show off their shiny new water physics
Shiny water!
My favorite feature is the unguarded self destruct button centrally located in the dash cluster.
but you don't even need a button, you just have to accelerate and within a minute the collision physics will just shit themselves completely at random and it'll explode
I wish mirai didn’t feel so forced as a manufacturer especially with other manufacturers like c.o. Being left to languish.
You had to have some tie fighters!! Haha
Kruger intergalactic would like a word….
It's the design aesthetic. Each brand has their own one, and these newer intricate designs of the fury and pulse don't fit C.O. or Kruger, so they made a new one
Wait until they release the metal MISC paint :)
The great thing about the pulse is we now have a benchmark for the smallest vehicle in the game. So now small ships like the Titan, 300i, and Reliant ships, may have a vehicle that they can transport.
So getting this in now, helps balance those other ships. Also it will help balance ground facilities to see where these bikes can get into and break the game.
I just wish handling for hover vehicles was better. It was so fun using the hover bikes in Destiny
Perhaps it’s a new employee on boarding vehicle
I've heard that theory before, but I don't think that's the primary reason. They probably had just enough resources for a small team and probably planned to do this bike anyway. You wouldn't want resources to just sit idle, so they assigned something appropriate to the resources available. That being said, having a new hire join a team like this is good when it's an option.
@@JL-rj9fl Lol. It's funny how some still give CIG the benefit of the doubt. Money. It's why they made this. There's no reason for it to be in the game atm. It's just an LTI token that CIG knows everyone will scoop up because they think LTI is something valuable someday. Best part of all, it is a vehicle that took them very little time to make and will maximize profits.
This is what they do to on-board new developers. It has been stated before many times. You give the new person a small task assess his work then move them towards larger projects.
I think it 100% fits where CIG is pushing the game in the next patch. With engineering comes the likelihood that more captains of big ships will be wanting to run with a crew, and it would be boring for them to just sit around waiting for fuses to break or fires to start etc. Having a swarm of gravbikes not only gives the crew more engaging gameplay, it also extends the time before the mothership even needs repairs. These bikes are going to make people want to join a bigger crew, once they get a taste of respawning on a Carrack or 890j, and just hopping on the next bike in the row and getting right back into the fight.
The only theory i've seen floating around for these (no pun intended), is that they're using them to onboard new designers in the ship team.
Get them to work on something small for practice before moving on to bigger ships. If you get a 'product' at the end, I imagine from CIGs point of view its win win.
I pretty much agree on all points raised. It needs gameplay. Based on S-Mikes recent video on engineering - maybe vehicles like this will have a renaissance and will be used for boarding actions?
But who knows...
I absolutely love the Pulse because of how small it is, how it looks, and it seems perfect for combining with a small ship like the Cutter. The main drawbacks are hoverbike handling and use case. What ever happened to the 3.1.4 hover vehicle handling? It was so good. 😭
A quick look during the work day, nothing too fancy!
I only just heard about it from the Leaks discord so I just wanted to see a little footage of it. Perfect video for that
Bro your editing game is too good for this community, you deserve some more sponsors.
While terrestrial or hover vehicles are still as useless, I would like that they had more diverses vehicles that npc can use ( small transport, mining, etc ) instead of always military or racing that actually don’t really bring any diversity in the game
Yep! AI being able to pilot well vehicles will be great in the future
Hover bike Winnebago, with foldout auto turrets for protection and camp site gear. I would throw money at the screen for that.
If we Talking about varieties, maybe it will be great to have new small salvage and miner? Argo salvager will be great, and maybe small miner from Rsi or Drake.
I wish you could roll, lean into a turn, flip, or something at least while in the air. I hate how it's stuck upright
I love the way it looks. It's a space motorcycle. I love it.
CIG Marketing has figured out that by the constant release of small hover bikes, ground vehicles etc that players will scoop them up at a rapid pace for the LTI token, even though players don't even know what LTI will fully mean in the future. There's no practical reason to release these insignificant vehicles every year. It's all about the money. It takes CIG minimum effort to make them but it sells like hotcakes at ship sales events for the LTI.
I don't know about the Pulse, but all of the other bikes have gimbled guns that allow you quite a good range of motion to shoot. They don't have that much of an issue shooting down. In 3.23 you tap G to get gimbles instead of hold now.
Guns getting knocked off are also a blessing in disguise because it prevents your death.
CIG devs, look at the Sparrow from Destiny, the movement from that... copy it, add to hover bikes... win.
If it had the ability to carry one 1:8SCU it could have been a DC (distribution centre) delivery contracts runner.
Pulse CC (container carrier) which could do the the 3000 (now) DC contracts (sure to be reduced to 500 after everyone does it)
It would have opened up something to do for new and zero balance players that wouldn’t require flying a space ship 🛸
It looks great and I use hover bikes all the time in the game.
There is a variant of the URSA rover. I think it is nice for everyone to get a cheap LTI token before Invictus. The thing looks nice and with Server Meshing coming the Daymar Rally is going to get more exciting :) I have a couple of Mirais and a Syulen to upgrade, but that thing looks nice (similar to SW Outlaws wink wink) I will stock with a couple of LTI tokens... maybe 4 if they come in a pack
I wouldn't call the variety of options in each vehicle class 'redundancy', they all have unique tunings, strengths and weaknesses, aside from shared attributes associated generally with their class. It feels like they're going for an elaborate situationally variable rock/paper/scissors game.
Jet Moto is the vibe I'm getting. Just missing Mountain Dew and Butterfingers logos.
I would much prefer the Tumbril Ranger!
All the useful hover bikes have already filled this niche, I find anything more in this category is as useful as a ROC-DS.
What's that semi truck I see in one of the galaxy concept art? The Refueling one. Is that ever going to be a thing, or is it just a picture?
Like the idea but CIG designers should have probably watched Tron legacy first 😂
What a great movie
I’m torn. I prefer how the racing variant looks, but I’m not into racing and I can see using a hover bike to board would be better with a gun
Give these damn hover bikes two modes. Space mode and ground mode. Put the ground mode on invisible suspension and call it a day. This flight Frankenstein has sucked for years.
the floating was so annoying and was in 3.22 live AC. i was so frelling annoyed trying to race with um.
what do you think, will it fit into a Titan?
It looks really small...
Yes
How do you fire the guns. I can get mine to work.
I Like the looking Akira vibes of it, i don't like the non-functional akira vibes of it, aka random explosions and insanely bad air control
Good buy for a cheap LTI token.
The “flying vacuum” is real…. And that god for implementing drinking. Time well spent Chris…. :/
Ah yes, the game that has not officially released still finding ways to milk their player base.... Cha Ching Cha Ching...
If you've got a problem with unreleased games releasing things to fund their development, that's gonna eliminate a lot of games.
@@SpaceTomatoPlays Name one other unreleased game that has raised over 600 MILLION.. and still has not released a finished game...after 11 YEARS....
I wonder how fast it goes
2 Citcon ship/vehicles down 8 more to go
Why do they just drop stuff randomly like this.. I was expecting an awesome trailer and SCL briefing 😅
It looks like a Ducati
MF what? I didn't even know they were making another hoverbike... yet still don't have my g12 and hover bikes still don't fly or land right.
Looks smaller than other bikes. Might be a daily hover for planetside for smaller vehicles. Other than that, meh.
Oppressor mark 2
Hover vehicles should not be that high above ground, in my opinion, should be ground huggers
Yes i love hitting every single rock in the game
This thing spreads through the RUclips channels like a plague.
It helps if you can drive it proper instead of what looks like messing around, boosting everywhere just a terrible way to showcase a hover bike.
Are all of these bad decisions happening because cig sucks?
What bad decision? A new hover bike? It's pretty standard
JUST>COPY>DESTINY>UGH!
All hover bikes in ST are a joke.
