I have both ships and decide which one to take out based on my mood and time i have for that session. With the current pricing i just go for hull stripping. Can use the vulture and come back with a comfortable 300k plus in less than an hour. Its good for when work was rough, the kids are awake, or i have a "honey do list" to finish. I use the reclaimer when i feel like just staying out there for days, taking contracts or scanning down locations. The trips back and forth to the trade terminals is more annoying to me than hull stripping so that makes the reclaimer especially helpful to avoid that.
I have been panel scraping in my Vulture and have been netting myself about 750k an hour by parking my MSR in a random spot around Yela and transferring my cargo after about every 40 scu. After three loads, I am sitting on about 1.5mn which does not take that long because the scrap panels give RCM at a way faster rate than ships. 100% the way to go for Vulture owners right now. You don't need a cargo ship to do this, but cutting back on the amount of times you need to go to TDD will earn you more money. You are also not relying on missions for you income here. You just go out and find the panels.
@@alexandredelamaide1079 If you go to any asteroid field and scan for any signatures in intervals of 2000, you will find scrap panels to salvage. They are kinda bugged at the moment and you have to approach them very slowly as they only load in when you are basically right next to them and no markers will show up. To scan use your middle mouse to switch to the scanning module, and then tab to send out a scan.

Ive been making some really good money in my vulture skipping the salvage missions and finding the floating pannels. No money up front and sometimes you can find enough of them to more then fill your ship with rmc.
If you want to use the lower hold, 8 scu boxes are much easier to move. Also, use the big industrial tractor beam, it makes the boxes much easier to rotate and move.
When you salvage with the Vulture and a hammerhead mission you can fit like 38 SCU of recyceld Material in 30 min. and it brings you like 500k straigth!
Yes as of 3.23.0 ladder did not work for me either!, but I just upgraded my vulture to the reclaimer so hope someone else has a solution for you!! o7 for the video, great content!!🤙🏽👏🏽😁
Great video but one small criticism if you are in-fact collecting the salvage to maximize profit. You just wasted like 75% of the salvage from that hammerhead by disintegrating all the pieces at once. The salvagers in processing ONLY hold 240 scu total of material and there are two pieces of hammerhead that are 400 scu each so once you collect one piece of hammerhead the salvagers are full and the rest gets lost. You have to disintegrate each piece one at a time and STOP then run down and process the salvage to empty the salvagers for each piece until you have completed processing the entire hammerhead. Its not convenient but if you don't do it that way you lose most of the hammerhead.
I see a pattern. When mining was a big things making millions in little time and had new mining theme for testing they made a lot of money off. Mining ships . Then nerfed it after they got their selling point . They did the same with salvage it seems . Now the new thing is medical ships being all capable of respawning on . There is zero reason to salvage ships now. CM is useless and the buy-in cost is too high. There are free panels to strip for RMC floating all over Lagrange points.
Lol maybe true with the vulture but you can make bank with the reclaimer. Last night I made 3mil in one run that took just over an hour by just scraping a herc and fracturing 2 reclaimers
so the actual hull scraping (recycled Composite Materials) is way more profitable then the (munch) recourse i tow out of area then scrape then fracture then scrape then munch way more auec
Just when I could afford to buy the reclaimer everything is nerfed. Now it’s seems unbalanced in that reward for effort is gone, too far in extreme to the right. It literally takes an hour or more to scrape and munch a HH (solo).
In a vulture it's so hard to find the space to store guns but in a Reclaimer I agree with you. I am going to start pulling guns and maybe even components to store in the Cargo room.
