That's my guy right there... BIG fan of his baseball brilliance.... the future is bright from top to bottom!!! Us older heads have been waiting a long time for this... great time to be a NY Metropolitans fan!!! L🍎F🍎G🍎M
We are lucky guys. He is not only a smart dude but he’s also not afraid to think outside the box. Thats what differentiates him from some of the other Ivy League guys in the league right now. He knows the analytics game inside and out but can also see beyond it.
To all my mets fans doesn't it feel good to have guys at the top an owner and gm in Cohen and sterns that are true mets fans that run the team truly want to win with the deepest pockets in baseball 👍👍👍🤘
Oh, MAN!!! The Mets are talking to Sugano from Japan or at least scouting him!!!! He’s a REALLY good pitcher from the Yomiuri Giants in the Nippon League!!! I’m sure the Mets are looking at a lot of people but that reaction was telling!
His pressers are absolutely lacking in information. He does vague and stonewall with extremely calming manner. but, he ( understandably ) will not say anything noteworthy.
All I want for Christmas, Steve Cohen, is the following players: ***Corbin Burnes***, ***Soto***, ***Pete Alonso***, ***Blake Snell***, and a decent bullpen. Some people might think it's unrealistic, but you and I know you've got that big bag, and let's get some rings and show LA what it's really all about. Please mr. Cohen and Mr. Stearns make it happen for us..
Money doesn't necessarily buy you a championship. Juan Soto is not worth the risk 600 + million for a 12 to 15-year contract makes no sense. I'd rather build the bullpen, add one or two really good starters, and bring back Alonso and Winker. Next year, Astros RF Kyle Tucker is hitting free agency. He's a three-time all-star whose numbers are almost as good as Soto. He won't come cheap either, but he's likely to cost less.
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te is about two years older than Soto, assuming Soto is actually 26. I'm skeptical based on what we've seen of age tampering in the DR.
The Mariners are not going to trade their young pitchers. The only one they might consider trading is Luis Castillo. Even Castillo won't come cheap, he's signed through 2028.
Forget Soto. Fix the bullpen, add two really good starters, bring back Jessie Winker, and sign Alonso or another 1B. Next year three-time All-Star outfielder Kyle Tucker hits the market. His numbers are similar to Soto's and he's less likely to get a 650 million dollar contract.
Boris is bad for baseball I hope a way is paved to root him out ASAP and the yanks originators of buying championships i heard nothing unfair about the Mets position.
I so glad we have someone like Steve who love the Mets and willing to do anything to help us.

I don’t think general fandom appreciates how smart this guy really is.
No they don't
In David Sterns we trust

The one positive aspect of signing him is that they won't lose any draft picks.
David stern is right
Stearns
@@WW3_Soon lol hes probably one of those guys that dont know how to check notis
He's very good
Stearns is wonderful at his job. He is also very talented at deftly handling the media while saying absolutely nothing.

I want all those players except Blake Snell. Resign Sean Mania

I would like to see the Mets get George Kirby! I think the Mets organization could bring out the Absolute Best in Kirby!!
Why in the hell would he be available
Huge upgrade in the closers spot, n then move diaz to the 7th inning role n stanek to the set up role
@@slapshot68 He's a starter. No team would trade for him and move him to the bullpen.

Sure if you're willing to trade Mark Vientos
The Mets Desperately need pitching
David Stearns is an Aaron Rodgers look-a-like
Really not
please sign juan soto and resign pete 🙏🙏
Both are signing with the Yankees. Sorry, very sad.

Agree re Soto, but re-signing Pete is a bad idea.
@@jimwerther Why is that?

30 years old, bad body, already in decline, wants major bucks.
Stearns looks like a kid in a candy store, he doesn't know what to do with all this money to spend 😅
Has Boras even MET the Dodgers? Has he EVER heard of George Steinbrenner? 🤷♂️
Boris is bad for baseball I hope a way is paved to root him out ASAP and the yanks originators of buying championships i heard nothing unfair about the Mets position.
Yes Scott Boras
The Mets should let another team sign Soto. He does not deserve Ohtani Judge money.
