Double cream and whipping cream are high fat content creams (over 30 or 40 %) and therefore more suitable for whipping, but so as long as your cream is high fat I presume it will work also . Another (vegan) alternative that is also good if you are out ofcream/ or on lockdown (!) is coconut whipping cream available in cans & can be found in larger supermarkets & some health food stores. Otherwise two cans of coconut milk can be used, using the fatty part and not the liquid part and whipping this in a bowl til it is the same consistency as the peaks you'd get traditionally from regular double/ whipping cream. If using an electric whisk be careful not to over-whisk as it can seperate and turn into butter if done too long ( that's why I prefer to do it by hand, more control)!
beyonce fuii top and fill caramel is perfect and not really it’s up to you if you want the caramel to be runny or thick from the can I personally have it from the can without heating it I think it tastes way better
No, usually two cans of condensed milk are 'boiled' in plenty of water over several hours ( topped up frequently and watched over as cans can explode !) , many people use 'duche de leche' ( sp?) instead , a shop-bought version preboiled saving you the hassle. Nestlé do a squeezy bottle one, but other brands are available lime Carnation. Otherwise it can be bought in a jar ready to spread on a base for banoffee pie. Also some people use it drizzled on pancakes ( sometimes over sliced bananas - bit like banoffee) or drizzled over plain ice-cream to make a more indulgent dessert. You can do it at home if you don't mind having to watch it for hours while it bubbles away . Just remember to keep the water level over the cans always ! Hope this helps.

You can cook condensed milk with butter and brown sugar to achieve the same effect

Hi! Can i use all purpose cream as sub for whipped cream?
double cream is good for sweets

Is icing sugar different from the normal sugar we're using?
Icing sugar is powdered sugar.
Hello ! What is your cake pan's size?
It's 17cm/7 inch.
what size tin did you use?
For how long have u cooked the dolce de lece?
About 5 minutes
Butter should be unsalted??
Yes :)
banoffee is toffee and condensed milk?

No toffee and banana
@@jw126 You must use sweetened condensed milk, not regular condensed milk.
Someone doesn't like to use their hands when cooking...
Replacement for butter?
I think coconut oil could work here. But I would reduce the amount slightly.
Cool recipe, but not exactly flourless. There is flour in the biscuit base.
Criticism on point.
Doesn’t claim to be flourless does ut !
Pwd ba dito crush graham
For the chaos gods
whipping cream in America just lacks the luxuriousness of British whipping cream
Really? What a shame. :( No chance of finding the British version somewhere?

Just mute it 🤷🏻♀️ it’s hardly offensive lol.
