I came across this recipe 2 days ago and since then I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Today I finally tried it out and it was simply AMAZING! Without any doubt one of the best ones I have ever tried. The flavors incorporate together amazingly, giving you a never forgetable taste! Would recommend it to anyone:).
I literally have never ever seen Jamie rolling out his dough with a rolling pin!!!! it's really sooo cool that he uses whatsoever on hand without going any sophisticated!!!
My wife made this today (at my request) for Christmas. It was fantastic! Everyone loved it. It did make a mess do to the ice cream starting to melt. Will make again.
we already had it marked as a must make in the book but after watching this I think we will have to make it before christmas. thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you for giving the experience. Want to make this for friends. I love how he is just straight forward and acts like he is absolutely confident we can do this too. We need that in our lives! I raise a grateful fork to you, Jamie and Maren😙
He is an incredible person as well as chef. So down to earth and always use ingredients which ate very much available in our households. I wish i could get a chefs degree.. 😔
Jamie's specialisation in Italian clearly came in handy here.. that italian meringue tops off one of the tastiest desserts I"ve ever seen! sweet Jesus look at it...
Leave it to a master to make one of the great desserts better by adding ice cream. Too beautiful to eat! You make it look so easy. I am glad I can't bake! I must compliment your set decorating crew also- looks wonderful- I love "too much" over the top decor too, goes with that pie! And if, sadly there is no snow, that pie and your kitchen make up for it! Happy Christmas and All the Best for 2022. Let's hope covid and it's "family" buzz off! Namaste from Canada
Not everyone loves banana, but that's ok! We've got loads of other delicious desserts to try - take a look at this red velvet cheesecake! ruclips.net/video/HRsyXb6C3NM/видео.html
Absolutely! It will definitely be a winner. What a great combo - Banoffee Alaska. Unfortunately, Key Lime Pie is on the Christmas Menu this year (kids love it). However, I do an Italian meringue for the KL pie which really makes it so much nicer than the traditional whipped cream. :)
Rainbow Gardens i recently tried this recipe and I have to say that this is my new favorite. Absolutely love it. It is way more than delicious. You really have to give it a try and am sure you will fall in love with it just like me and my family :).
Looks amazing. There is only one problem in my opinion. If I can't eat the whole cake in one go, what can I do with the rest? Put it in the freezer an then in the oven again?
That Suger and white Egg meringue is our Anc ester the acadian that teaches us to make that...they came in Canada from France we had the reciepe since way before 1755 the year of the deportation of acadian we have family in Lafayette in the u-S that should use that meringue ,and we put that mostely on cake and keep it in fridg its so ,so good, but dit not know it was originaly fron Italy But your recipe look to die for....
Just wondering, how important is it to get the exact temperatures when heating the sugar and water?? I don't have a sugar thermometer. Will it affect the consistency of the meringue? Or is this going make a disaster if I skip the thermometer??
Why do I always end up watching either Jamie or Gennaro at night so I start thinking about food and get hungry
Time for a midnight snack then!
Putting ice cream in a pie in the oven sold me on this desert! I am sure it will wow the family and friends for the holidays! 😀 Merry Christmas!
Baked Alaska for you

I honestly thought you were gonna put on a drizzle of olive oil at 4:05 lol
I thought it was balsamic vinegar haha
LlewenEbag same ahahha
It would be if it was gordon ramsey making it...."And now, to top if all off, a drizzle of olive oil, beautiful, there you go"
Hahaha! As wonderful as olive oil is, there are limits.
me too!
Очень необычно и празнично.Особая благодарность за понятный перевод

My God, that bookshelf!! I so want it!

Doesn't he use any sugar in the pastry?
@@annapomorski5431 There’s no need for sugar in the pastry, the rest is more than sweet enough.
Thankyou yes you're right.
around 5 minutes: jamie turns into a little boy being totally happy with digging into his christmas dessert treat. awwwwwwwwwwww :)
He is an incredible person as well as chef. So down to earth and always use ingredients which ate very much available in our households. I wish i could get a chefs degree.. 😔
I'd probably caramalize the bananas first with some sugar and grand Marnier to make them super succulent.
Oooooh - that's an amazing idea!
@@saminaeem29 Take back your mirror and go away !
This is why i love reading through the comments!!! What a great suggestion ! love it!
you could also use a mixture between caramel and chocolate or caramel and coffee souce. Or a mixture between vanilla and coffee flavor.
OMG, I love this guy! Even if you never make this particular recipe, follow what he does for the meringue, it makes a huge difference.
Made it today and it was really good. The flavour the texture and the biscuit simply awesome
You're the best, Jamie. Take care, bless you and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 🎅
