Sorry...just didn't want to do a product endorsement but the topical treatment that is labeled for ear mites in cats and I use for dogs is Revolution.

Hello doctor. Your video is so helpful. thank you so much. I have been trying to clean my pup's ears for 2 months now and it still seems like there's been no change at all. Would NexGard Spectra work at all? Could you explain a little more about the heartworm treatment on the neck area.

    Thanks for posting this, Doc!
Our 12 mo. old Sheltie probably has ear mites, shakes his ears often, scratches at them, and rubs his ears on the carpet. Appointment for tomorrow at the vet's. But since he's already on Trifexis flea and heart worm meds, I guess we'll have to use drops instead of "the latest" treatment you described so as to not overdose the fella on heart worm meds!

I was using antibiotic ear drops for my dog and the situation got worse. I use a natural ear cleaner from pet-plicity and the black gungy stuff and pain has cleared up in days! Natural remedies and treatments are far better than drugs in many cases IMO.

He talks about a simple topical treatment but doesn't tell us what it is!

Do you know how long the treatment will take to take full effect? I just noticed my dog continuously scratching his ear yesterday and when i looked inside, he was bleeding and there was alot of gunk and bacteria. the ppl at PetCo said its probably Ear Mites so we will take him to the Vet. But u said it would take weeks for the treatment to work? is there anything that would relieve my dog from the itch or pain?

Please put some images in your video to aid in Dx. Nice to hear your "earmite speech", but virtually useless without IMAGES! Almost as annoying as the morning DJs who watch RUclips and laughingly describe what they're watching. Intent is the same; for them it's to create website traffic via links to videos, and for you it's to force people to go to their vets instead of trying a home medication & cleaning regimen.
Thank you for trying though, Doctor; I have a cousin who's a vet and I was flabbergasted by the amount of education you guys endure! Just like med school! When I found out, I asked him "what made you choose veterinary medicine over MD?". His answer: humans whine more. Ha!
P.S., Discovered this in pup's ear today; my new Black Lab Pup (3 M/O) is going tomorrow.
    Dogs FTW!
