These home remedies for ear infections have really helped our 5 year old cocker spaniel! You are our go-to for anything going on with our pets! Thank you so much! ❤
Hi, I have a 5 year old cocker spaniel too. She’s been showing signs of ear infection for the last 2 days. Which remedy do you think worked the best for your baby? Wishing your doggie a speedy recovery. Thanks.
HELP !!!!! Greetings from Florida ! What a blessing it is to have found you and I’m speaking not only for myself but for my 2 sweet dogs but also for a dog I just rescued from the streets in my neighborhood and she was starving to death and left out in 110 degree heat for at least a week that I know of. It took several days to earn her trust just to accept food even though she was starving. She’s finally coming into a safe room where it’s cool but scratches at her ears. She won’t allow a collar to be put on so I’m just trying to feed her and maybe do something for her ears.
Thank you for your kind words, If you're into natural pet health (and who isn’t?), you are FREE to grab a copy of my E-book veterinarysecrets.com/news/
Number 3 OTC combination : Clotrimazole 1% - 1 Teaspoon Hydrocortizone 1% - 1 Teaspoon Polysporin which has Polymixin & Gramicidin - 1 Teaspoon Mix well & apply once a day in infected ear. I am writing this as a note to apply this for Summer’s ear- we tried the Apple Cider Vinegar but it did not help, the earmites got more. So hoping this helps. In this economy can’t go to vet again. I went to Vet & they gave me Animax- a prescribed medicine- even that didn’t help with the earmites, I clean her ear everyday, it is only her left ear. Hoping this one does the trick! Thanks doc!! dog bless
Thought I would put in my 2 cents- Have a female pittie that gets reoccurring ear infections. Seems every 6 months or so at vets being treated. Found this video & tried the 3 OTC meds. recipe, and it worked. No more smelly or black gunk when I clean ears. More than likely, she will get again, but at least now I have a way to treat without having to go to vets. Thanks! She is in a much better mood as well! Thanks again!
My dog has been scratching his ears ans i decided to you tube this and watch your Vids - Went across the road to my local Chemist and grabbed some Canesten cream and almost instantly he stopped the head shaking and ear scratching. I will keep the cleaning and treatment up for ten days but his immediate response was astounding. Thanks and i have send some friends your vid and link
Wow thank you for this video and helpful remedies. My little Yorkie girl woke up on Wednesday this week with a painful ear infection. Implemented remedy one and 3 that day. It is now Friday morning and her ear is 80 percent better. Simple low cost solutions to her ear infection. I am so thankful not to have to wait a week or more to get into the vet why she suffered. 😊
I didn’t wanna take my dogs to the vets because of the new respiratory disease so now they have ear infections and I was keeping them very clean, but no cure. I’m grateful to find this video. I just came back from the store with all the ingredients and applied the medicine. They are now calm and not flapping their ears. Maybe we can all get some sleep tonight? I am very anxious to see how they do by tomorrow. Thank you for sharing these workable home remedies which I can use in the mean time. Who knows, maybe they won’t need to go to the vet at all.
So thankful for your recipe of vinegar, caneston, and hydoxychloro... Our pittie had thick and sore ears for years. I started by wiping twice daily (oh, she hated it) for 3 days, then once a day for a week or so, now just on weekends :) She's so much better now and doesn't run and hide when she hears the word 'ear'! Thank you Dr. Andrew!
My poor Staffy has constant ear infections! We have tried everything including changing his food, thinking it was an allergic reaction to some ingredients. I will try these! Thank you so much!
I did the same thing with changing her food right down to the detergent I was using for her bedding. I use the Dr’s remedies and after 1 week… she is finally happy with no odor in her ears, no shaking her head and the redness went completely away. I’m going to finish the regimen for 1 more week. It really does work! She’s so much happier now 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I hope it works for you too!

My 5 lb Papillon had warmth w redness on her left ear. I studied your video; did the smell test, noting the sweet, slight foul odor. I made your green tea ACV combination, then gave 2 drops directly into the ear canal; massaged lightly. The following morning 90% of the redness was gone. I will continue to apply. Thank you.

I am so grateful for this video. My 13 year old precious little Shih Tzu has an ear infection. It was so odd because his ears were beautiful, no visible irritation. However, he was shaking his head and drooling and his hearing began to go. I decided to try the green tea and apple cider vinegar treatment three days ago. Now I see black appearing in his ears so I think it's beginning to work! He can hear again, head shaking is slowing down, drooling nearly gone as well. I have also been gently cleaning his ears with the witch hazel and aloe. He tends to have allergies with all grains and for years I have fed him real food as you suggest. He's an adorable little fuss bucket that we love more than life itself! I am going to pick up every ingredient you suggested to have on hand for future use! Charlie sends along a big thank you!
Try removing grains from diet. Give realmeat rawor cooked. Takes at least 10 days to see improvements. Our dogs and cats only eat porc and chicken with a starch being either potatoe or rice or kale, swiss chard carrots. Its a work in progress. They have shiny coats and have loads of energy!!!

Great info! My pug has had reoccurring ear infections his whole life(11) and now is deaf. Wonder if more natural remedies could have prevented that... never knew hearing loss can be a side effect of certain prescription drops until just recently. 😢
My vet prescribed that to my morkie. I used it for the week and she couldn't hear for about 3 weeks. 😢 Thankfully, it was only temporary. I'm just going to use natural meds now.

Thank you thank you thank YOU!!! My poor dog has been shaking his head and looking miserable, but when I called the vet, the soonest they can get him in to see him is two weeks (no other vets in the area), or I can drive 2 hours to a veterinary emergency hospital that charges $1,000 a visit. I've booked the appointment in 2 weeks, but in the meantime, I was able to run to CVS and buy the over-the-counter meds to give the poor boy a bit of relief.
Thank you for your information - one day into the third option with the OTC combination remedy and am already seeing a decline in inflammation. Will continue the process and monitor how things go.
Thanks Dr Jones, today I'll try one of these remedies for my Labrador wich is having an ear condition for sometime. We've already been to our Vet of course and got the prescribed meds but after sometime that smelly jelly brown stuff has returned again, it seems very mild since he doesn't turns his head or other symptoms but while cuddling I've sniffed that smell of yeast and with surprise found his left hear with some of it again. The right one has never had any sort of issues, always been clear and nice. I'll let you know if the green tea + apple cider vinegar will work it out 😉
We have a boerboel who os prone to seasonal ear infections. We adopted him a nearly 8 years old. His family were immigrating and couldnt take him along. He was traumatised at being left at our place, people he didnt know, and he would not walk with us for anfew weeks without trying to run away. It took months before we could put him in the car. Thanks to Dr Andrew, we have been able to sort his allergies with canesten. I will get the rest on the list. This time, his infection seems to not want to go, itnhas only been 4 or 5 days now. Our town is very prone to allergies as we r surrounded by orchards. Here in South Africa the vet is pricy too, even with pet insurance.
Thank you, I was just about to search for this kind of video for my dog Buttercup and I was so happy you had just made one. Will try the first remedy and come back with a update 🙂
I’ve found the kin and kind clean ears works well for maintaining healthy ears. It has witch hazel in it. I use one dropper once per week. It is natural and seems effective yet gentle
All right, I will give you a before and after. I have a 95 pound yellow lab that has had a recurring yeast based ear infection or some kind of ear infection for roughly 6 months. I am going tomorrow to get the first two methods and then we’ll try the third if they work I will let you know. This is for the doctor and for anybody watching or reading. I’m to broke for vet bills and am tired of trying different things that don’t work.
My Maltese x Shih tzu gets constant ear infections and he smells terrible. I am just trying your shampoo for yeast infections and am going to start flushing out his ears with green tea and apple cider vinegar too .Now I am going to use some of your suggestions here also. Thankyou
I didn't find it did anything for his rash and his ears got really bad that I had to take him to the vet to get them flushed out by the vet. Maybe if I got to his ears earlier it might of worked but he has the Shih Tzu ear canals and it is hard to get to.@@Loveandpeaceandggoodwill
My dog suffers from environmental allergies and a has had many ear infections. A few weeks ago I took her to the vet she had bacteria in her ears. They put some type of cream on her ears which worked for a little while but now she’s scratching again and her ear looks it has inflammation. I will try some of these remedies see if that works for her. Thank you for all your videos!
Didn’t work for my dog. Not sure because her infection was bad already but I had to take her to vet where they had to sedate her to flush out her ear and put her on Apoquel. She has been so much better after having that done.
Just cost me 150$ CDN for a swab test and medication at the vet. I'm definitely going to try this. If it works it will save me so much money over time. My 110 lb berner always has ear infections.
I just paid $85 to walk in to the vets office, an additional $40 for a microscopic slide (though we already knew it was yeast) and $25 for Animax, which doesn't help much. This was the second visit in 2 months, after paying $70 for a "one time treatment "administered by the vet, but she never told me I would have to come back every 2 weeks for it! Now, I will try the green tea and AC vinegar or the polysporin/hydrocortisone/chlortrimizol combo if I can find all the ingredients in my local pharmacy. Next step, research the cause of these yeast infections and change her diet! Thank you Doc!
I use an OTC antifungal like foot fungus cream and hydrocortisone on my dogs ears. It definitely helps but she usually goes back to the shaking after a day or two. I ordered the witch hazel with aloe thanks Dr. Jones
@Loveandpeaceandggoodwill So I put about 10 drops of silver to 10 drops of water, give or take. Depending if it's going in the eyes or ear. I delute more if it's going in the eyes. Say 10 drops solver to 15 or 20 water. The ear u may not have to delute at all or very little. I also take it if I'm sick. Works well for me.
Thank you so much for these remedies ! Locally there is a veterinary shortage or just too many pets for them to handle so it takes 3 weeks to get in for a visit, if you can find a vet taking on new clients at all.
I've had 3 trips to the vets with ear infection, I've payed out £300 so far for cleaner and tablets,, he's stopped scratching but now has a permanent head tilt, I can't afford scans which start at 2 grand so I will definitely give these remedies a go. Thanks
@SalBlydenburgh he did after about 2 months yes, I persevered with cleaning the best I could and added some things to his food to reduce yeast production. I am starting to think that it may possibly have been mites in his case as using thornit powder has definitely helped.
Hi Dr. Jones. First I want to say thank you so much for these helpful videos. I have a cocker spaniel and she’s about five years old. She constantly has ear infections. I went to the vet and all they said was to put vinegar and water. It still does not help the situation, and she has now Smelly, black ears because of the yeast. I’m assuming she’s in pain so I gave her Benadryl as per your video. That does seem to help her. I’m going to try the green tea and apple cider. I will send you an up date as to how Daisy is doing. Concerned, mom Barrera..
Our sweet little long hair chihuahua gets ear infections a lot. He gets wobbly and its terrible. May try some of these. He gets snotty and stuffy a lot too and i hate to give him benadryl so much but I'm not sure what else to do. I think he inherited his allergies from me. Runs in the family.
Thanks for the video! I have been using a 50/50 of Cortisone/Monistat 7 for treatment and 50/50 mix of ACV/Water for cleaning. This has really been helpful. What do you think about using Monistat7 for dog's ear infections?
That's excellent advice. gonna try the last solution for my chronic shihtzu ear infections. I have 2, brother and sister and she has never had one and he has them constantly. I used your chlotrimazole (sp?) yeast fighter (no name at walmart much cheaper than canesten), awhile ago and it seemed to help him with less scratching. will def give the last one a try. thanks . You're providing an amazing service. Much appreciated.
Starting a mixture of the last 2 treatments. The rinse and the cream mix. We are desperate! Its been YEARS of ear infections that will not go away. We've tried antibiotics multiples times, and all the vet stuff! They said its not yeast...but we're treating for it anyways. His ears stink bad, lots of inflammation, constant head shaking. We've also changed his diet. We'll see! I will update in a few days!
You give great remedies for things to put in the ear to treat yeast. How often would you then clean the ear when using one of these remedies and what would you use?
The challenge is getting that cream all the way into the ear canal. If one spec of yeast is left untouched, it comes right back. You need to kill every last cell! The witch hazel is a good cleaner, but doesn't seem to kill the yeast at all. Today I'll try the ACV mixture!

Oh, God Bless You! I can’t understand the stupidity and cruelty of people! Thank God for angels like you!🕊️
You are the absolute best nobody else tells us this stuff...GBU
You have a video for every issue. I have been using all your recommendations and they all work perfectly. Thank you for saving us hundreds of dollars

Number 3 OTC combination :
Clotrimazole 1% - 1 Teaspoon
Hydrocortizone 1% - 1 Teaspoon
Polysporin which has Polymixin & Gramicidin - 1 Teaspoon
Mix well & apply once a day in infected ear. Thanks doc!! dog bless
Thanks! 😊
@@AdamS_Lucky Hi! Where did you get your Polysporin? I looked on Amazon and so far I've only found the ones that contains polymixin and bacitracin :(
Same I can't polysporin with gramicidin.... It appears to be prescription only
...sometimes you can find polysporin at publix for those that may be looking for it.
Did anyone find this
Thought I would put in my 2 cents- Have a female pittie that gets reoccurring ear infections.
Which of these 3 remedies did you use, please inform us. Thank you
@@Observer-bh6df Not the OP, but they wrote it is the 1st and 3rd.
We are in the same boat. About to try this myself. Keep us posted! Hope the pups feel better ❤
@@R.S.546 Thank you.
Hi how did it go? Is it working?Did you use apple cider?
Is it working? Did you use apple cider vinegar?
So thankful for your recipe of vinegar, caneston, and hydoxychloro... Our pittie had thick and sore ears for years. I started by wiping twice daily (oh, she hated it) for 3 days, then once a day for a week or so, now just on weekends :) She's so much better now and doesn't run and hide when she hears the word 'ear'! Thank you Dr. Andrew!
Me and my dog thank you so much for all you do to help our pets.❣️
My poor Staffy has constant ear infections! We have tried everything including changing his food, thinking it was an allergic reaction to some ingredients. I will try these! Thank you so much!
I did the same thing with changing her food right down to the detergent I was using for her bedding. I use the Dr’s remedies and after 1 week… she is finally happy with no odor in her ears, no shaking her head and the redness went completely away. I’m going to finish the regimen for 1 more week. It really does work! She’s so much happier now 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I hope it works for you too!
@@missdedee3343...I'm having the same problem with my am bully.. I have honestly tried everything... The stuff they give me at the vet's office seems to do nothing...which one did you try??..help
You’re probably getting water in her ears during bath time
@@missdedee3343hey! I’m in the same boat with my pitbull now! I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I’m going to try the Dr’s recommendation starting tomorrow… has your dog improved even more?

My 5 lb Papillon had warmth w redness on her left ear. I studied your video; did the smell test, noting the
sweet, slight foul odor. I made your green tea ACV combination, then gave 2 drops directly into the ear canal; massaged lightly. The following morning 90% of the redness was gone. I will continue to apply. Thank you.

My dog won't even let me touch his ears. He shows his beautiful teeth.
Why doesn't your dog trust you?
@@zoeberry33it's very common for dogs not to like their ears to be touched

Same with my 110# Lab-rottie. I have to Muzzle her and leash her to a strong post.
@@zoeberry33 Don't know he is 2 years old and never let him touch any of the things. I can;t even brush his teeth.
What do mean ..real food??.. I have a dog that seems to be allergic to everything.... Any advice would be appreciated.thank you 😊
@@pamhaggart1912 I think they mean like real chicken, not chicken flavored dog food or real salmon, not salmon flavored dog food

What a good boy the pup was.❤
Great info! My pug has had reoccurring ear infections his whole life(11) and now is deaf. Wonder if more natural remedies could have prevented that... never knew hearing loss can be a side effect of certain prescription drops until just recently. 😢
Same thing happened to my dog I use the natural remedy and all the sudden now my dog can hear again it is trapped fungus

I'll let you know if the green tea + apple cider vinegar will work it out 😉
How's it working for you?
Thanks for your advice… going to pick stuff up today and give it a go!
Dr Jones, you are God sent. Thank you.
Thank you Doc!
Thank you Dr. Jones for your informative videos. Im glad I found you
Love your videos, thank you so much, it helps me to keep my rescue dogs healthy and happy without too much cost ❤
Hi Dr. Jones, I like natural medicine even for me, I already use it. Thank you so much for all your advances.
Thanks again for this much needed information!!
Thank you, Dr. Jones💖💖❤️
Which method did you use and how did it go?

My little dog seems to get these ear issues twice a year. This is most helpful.
My Maltese x Shih tzu gets constant ear infections and he smells terrible. I am just trying your shampoo for yeast infections and am going to start flushing out his ears with green tea and apple cider vinegar too .Now I am going to use some of your suggestions here also. Thankyou
Hi, did your dog get better? If yes did you leave drops of vinegar in the ear or put enough to where it comes out of the ear?
I didn't find it did anything for his rash and his ears got really bad that I had to take him to the vet to get them flushed out by the vet. Maybe if I got to his ears earlier it might of worked but he has the Shih Tzu ear canals and it is hard to get to.@@Loveandpeaceandggoodwill
Thank you 🐾
My dog suffers from environmental allergies and a has had many ear infections. A few weeks ago I took her to the vet she had bacteria in her ears. They put some type of cream on her ears which worked for a little while but now she’s scratching again and her ear looks it has inflammation. I will try some of these remedies see if that works for her. Thank you for all your videos!
How did it go. My pups experiencing the same thing.
Thank you for the information I will have to give this a try I will keep you updated in a few days
I thank the universe for you. I so appreciate your intel
I use an OTC antifungal like foot fungus cream and hydrocortisone on my dogs ears. It definitely helps but she usually goes back to the shaking after a day or two. I ordered the witch hazel with aloe thanks Dr. Jones
how the witch hazel worked for you?
I use caloidal silver for this and eye problems. Works awesome.
How many drops do you put in the ear? And do you mix it with something else? Please respond
Locally there is a veterinary shortage or just too many pets
for them to handle so it takes 3 weeks to get in for a visit, if you can find a vet taking on new
clients at all.
I've had 3 trips to the vets with ear infection, I've payed out £300 so far for cleaner and tablets,, he's stopped scratching but now has a permanent head tilt, I can't afford scans which start at 2 grand so I will definitely give these remedies a go. Thanks
Did your dog ever stop getting the head tilt?
@SalBlydenburgh
he did after about 2 months yes, I persevered with cleaning the best I could and added some things to his food to reduce yeast production. I am starting to think that it may possibly have been mites in his case as using thornit powder has definitely helped.
@@jasond4965 Glad he's doing better.. makes sense that it might have been mites. did you try any of the home remedies from this channel?

Hi Dr. Jones. First I want to say thank you so much for these helpful videos. I have a cocker spaniel and she’s about five years old. She constantly has ear infections. I went to the vet and all they said was to put vinegar and water. It still does not help the situation, and she has now Smelly, black ears because of the yeast. I’m assuming she’s in pain so I gave her Benadryl as per your
video. That does seem to help her. I’m going to try the green tea and apple cider. I will send you an up date as to how Daisy is doing. Concerned, mom Barrera..
Did it work?
Hi. Any progress please?
Our sweet little long hair chihuahua gets ear infections a lot. He gets wobbly and its terrible. May try some of these. He gets snotty and stuffy a lot too and i hate to give him benadryl so much but I'm not sure what else to do. I think he inherited his allergies from me. Runs in the family.
Going to try the third one and hopefully it works!
Thanks for the video! I have been using a 50/50 of Cortisone/Monistat 7 for treatment and 50/50 mix of ACV/Water for cleaning. This has really been helpful. What do you think about using Monistat7 for dog's ear infections?
i use it too it works
That's excellent advice. gonna try the last solution for my chronic shihtzu ear infections. I have 2, brother and sister and she has never had one and he has them constantly. I used your chlotrimazole (sp?) yeast fighter (no name at walmart much cheaper than canesten), awhile ago and it seemed to help him with less scratching. will def give the last one a try. thanks . You're providing an amazing service. Much appreciated.
oh, and Pippi is a champ! such a good obedient model.
Well, that is a great dog to take and tolerate all this demonstration!
Thanks, you are really helpful.
Thank you, great information 🇨🇦
Starting a mixture of the last 2 treatments. The rinse and the cream mix. We are desperate! Its been YEARS of ear infections that will not go away. We've tried antibiotics multiples times, and all the vet stuff! They said its not yeast...but we're treating for it anyways. His ears stink bad, lots of inflammation, constant head shaking. We've also changed his diet. We'll see! I will update in a few days!
How is your dog doing now?
Hi, How's your dog doing?
You give great remedies for things to put in the ear to treat yeast. How often would you then clean the ear when using one of these remedies and what would you use?
Thank you!
THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!!!!The green tea and acv WORKED!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!! Rufus had a problematic ear infection 😭
Did you put a few drops in each ear? I'm just asking since I worry I'll put too much on my dog
5-10drops. 2x per day 10 days
The challenge is getting that cream all the way into the ear canal. If one spec of yeast is left untouched, it comes right back. You need to kill every last cell! The witch hazel is a good cleaner, but doesn't seem to kill the yeast at all. Today I'll try the ACV mixture!
Can this also be good for cats as well? You're the Best! Thank you so much❤😊
