I wish punkin could stay with me but I know becasuse of what he needs, just the right person needs to be his fur momma or daddy. He needs companionship And a schedule that he can count on ,he looks like he has been really super lonely and didn't have time to learn animal instincts from his mama.. Taken away too soon, by an owner that was too busy, maybe to be a pet owner❤ This is wonderful to wake up to and start the day😊
When you feel he is ready. I will adopt him. He reminds me of my Rocket who is an American Dingo (Carolina Dog). Pumpkin looks just like him. I found Rocket on the Las Vegas Strip. He was just as shut down as Pumpkin. I had a pack of 3 but lost 1 on July 25th. He would have 2 doggie brothers, 2 kitty sisters, and a bunny brother as well.
They had to put him in isolation part way through this video because he couldn't handle all of the noise, random people coming by, etc. He definitely wouldn't do well with all those animals, I'm sorry to say!
@@mandymorrow5473 A shelter is a very stressful environment with lots of animals that are way out of it . A home environment with maybe two well adapted and relaxed dogs around is a different situation all together; these other dogs can give another dog a feeling of belonging, in the pack that is very natural to dogs. We will have to wait and see how Pumpkin gets along and....I put my cards on Rocky & Kelly to get it right!!! 🥰💓💓💓
As someone who was abused, watching this is SO healing! Thank you for caring. Thank you for taking the time to tend to the wounds that aren’t visible. Love is the answer.
Well, this big little boy is why I finally became a member. Pumpkin needs Flip's Farm more than any dog I have seen on your channel and if my monthly payment will help him, that's enough for me. It is just so, so sad. I live on the East Coast of Canada, so I am about as far away as I could be on this continent, but it's the love of dogs that brings us all together. it's going to be okay, Pumpkin. It really is.
maybe they need some volunteer cuddlers. being stinky could keep people from spending time with him. I love him. And I am thankful for you helping these babies
Thank you for working with this hurting boy. Donation in memory of my Ellie, a recue who was also shut down and so broken and we gave her all the love and patience it took to have 7 good years together. We always had to be careful with her in certain situations, but her anxiety improved far beyond what specialists thought was possible.
Look > 1:34 "If I just melt into the floor and disappear then no-one will see me and all these pains and problems will go away". This happens to people as well. I understand. Thank god you were there for him.
Thank you so much for taking him to the farm Rocky. He looks like such an absolutely sweet boy. I am sure you and Kelly will be able to help him. You two have so much love and he can feel it. Please give us ongoing pupdates on this sweet Pumpkin.
I actually had a dog cry. She was making the noises and had watery eyes when she thought her puppy friend had died. The puppy was taken from the home and rushed to the vet. While she was there, the kids packed up to move to their new home. I had to bring Cleo to the vet to see Dixie to prove she was still alive.
@@annieb9627 That was my original goal, in College. As a Volunteer, before the Animal Health Technology course I saw it all, as well. That, and we had a Diabetic Dog. She was the reason I did go for Animal Health. I can say I tried!
I am a retired teacher of 30 years and have been told that there’s a special place in Heaven for teachers. But, after watching many, many of your videos, I just have to tell you guys that there’s a very special place for all of you in Heaven. Like you’ve said before, Rocky, ‘There’s already a dog whisperer’…you are the dogs’ savior…simply put, God is not the only one that is so very proud of you…we all are. Of course, if you don’t like the dogs’ savior, you could call yourself the goosebump giver. Keep up the amazing work you guys!
Oh my shattered heart! I love Pumpkin so much!! I have severe anxiety and panic attacks so I kind of know how he feels. It’s horrible. I love him and pray for much happier days ahead. ❤
Oh my another tear jerker. Poor pumpkin I understand anxiety and being so scared your paralyzed. I pray he recovers and gets the loving home every dog truly deserves.
My very scared rescue dog had to be sedated so that i could drive him home. He used to drop little poo bombs whenever i came near him and stayed under my bed for three weeks before finally relaxing and jumping up onto the bed with my other dog and i. Now after four years he's still a nervous dog, but he's loving walkies off lead and seeing his tail wagging is always a joy. You can't save them all, but you can do your best for the lucky ones that get a second chance.
@@CynthiaSchoenbauersame. I hope you’re safe now. I had a service dog to help when I would dissociate. When Texas passed, I rescued two pups with bad trauma. Now I’m giving back to help them live in safety. But no matter their journey, we won’t live in fear again.
Rocky: “I know this is hard. We’re going to take deep breaths together.” Me: deep breath ❤ There is a special place in heaven for Mel. She is so good to those dogs. Bless her.
Rocky you are a rock star…..I broke down and cried when you made the decision to pull Pumpkin…and then when you walked out with him. I will be watching closely to learn how he is doing going forward. God Bless you and Kelly for taking him to the farm.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The second visit he was full of apprehension, and to watch the way he softened with the head rubs ... It was like pouring water on a dying plant. He NEEDED that, and that love is what will make him bloom. What you do is so beautiful and so soul lifting. Thank you for helping sweet Pumpkin. I wish him a long happy life with love poured all over him every single day.
Thank you Rocky! Thanks for polling members too. I’ll bet he’s already starting to feel a little better being on the farm surrounded by sounds of nature, peace, kindness and sensing true safety.
Pumpkin is definitely a Carolina Dog. My Marja looked just like him, including spots on the tongue. They are a bit skeptical of new things (people they don't know), but are great family pets, except maybe with cats. She was very protective of my boys and then the grandkids. Marja lived to be almost 16 years old. Taking Pumpkin to the farm is the best thing you could do for him right now. The love and attention you and Kelly give to him and all of the dogs when they need it most is just incredible. Thank you.
Yep, the eyes give them away. Got one in ginger and he's a reserved, defensive and loyal dog. In unfamiliar territory he'll shy away and get vocal (growling with hackles up) but will not attack unless cornered. Smart and has an internal clock like most dingos. They have to "patrol" in the morning and the evening to see what's up in their domain; a good walk does them wonders. My Carolina Dog will not hesitate to nose under the blankets to get me up for the AM walk, if I'm lazy. Keeps me young...
@@avi-tar2827mine is a terrible walking buddy. He don’t cut me no slack. Every morning mine wakes me up for a walk. If I ignore him he literally barks right in my face. Some mornings I beg him to let me have the morning off but no….he wants his walk and it has to be on his terms. No one else in the house will do. I also have a dog door and large fenced in yard. That is not what he wants and my bossy spoiled dogs always gets his way. lol
@@smokeyeyemom9415 Google the Carolina Dog and Dr Brisbin's research after finding a litter in the wild in SC. They are descended from the Australian Dingo. Very interesting information.
Mel is beautiful inside and out. She has such a gorgeous smile and warm sweet voice - so loving and gentle with the dogs. Just what they need when they are in that shelter environment.
Pumpkin just needed to be saved and you saw his little lost soul & reached out to him. Thank you for doing what you do, Rocky. I can’t wait to see him shine and give back love. 🥰
This dog looks very similar to my dog, who is a blonde Australian Kelpie, which is an Australian farming dog. She’s full grown, right under 30lbs, with a longer body length and lean, muscular build. When I adopted my dog as a puppy, she was previously abused but the shelter wasn’t sure how, and she acted just like this. This puppy has my heart, thank you for all you do. ❤🙏🏻
St. Francis would be proud of Rocky, Kelly, and Mel. Best friends are the ones you want to help the most. Mel is right about him having an old soul in a puppy body. Thank you for being a beautiful voice for the forgotten and the hurt. 🙏🐶❤️
This looks like my Bella we just lost. She was a shepherd/lab/jindo mix. She was the sweetest. This poor scared baby breaks my heart!! Thanks SO much for helping him!!😭
It's not the first time I've gotten teary watching these dogs with you. But this one...full on ugly cry. What a beautiful boy, and I know, that he's in the best hands and his future will be so much more life filled. What a wonderful thing you all do, and the members, and the support, shelter workers, Mel. Hearts of gold for the animals that may never have had a chance. You're a good boy Pumpkin. Can't wait to watch this beautiful soul's story and transformation. As I sit here, in my comfy chair, with my 2 rescues soaking up the sun, we are sending abundant love, and good vibes.
@@va.spider you're right. I don't know if they revealed a dog breed (I'm not done watching this video), but I initially saw a shepherd there, like Swiss Shepherd and also a light Chow because of the darker tongue and the "teddy bear" face
I'm a first time watcher to this channel. I got curious & clicked onto the short. I went on to see the full vid & I couldn't stop watching. I was so touched, I couldn't pull away. They tugged onto my heart & I feel warm all over. God Bless all these good people. It takes very special people to do this kind of work. ❤❤❤ Pumpkin is a great name.
Oh my goodness, I would take him in a heartbeat, Iam 67 and I totally understand this sweet dog. This makes me wish I lived closer to where he is. Rocky, I thank God for people like you, every night I say a prayer for all lost, abused and abandon pets as well as kids, I believe that doing this can help, and that God, helps the love be spread. Thank you for the work you do. I became a member after seeing this video - 4.99 is a small price to pay if it helps these sweet dogs.
He is a beautiful dog. I feel bad that he didn't get the love the needed and deserved. You can tell that he longs for every touch, he leans forward. You gave him that.
When you talked about he probably just wants to cry, I teared up... I'll cry for him. You and Kelly are beautiful people to rescue Pumpkin. Such a beautiful dog with so much trauma.
He is going to be an amazing dog. The way he scrunched up his eyes and little smile on the side of his face. When you were playing with his head was beautiful. He was in love. I’m so glad you’re taking him.
Rocky, your big heart and kindness is “ killing” me! You don’t just say words, you follow through with actions. God bless you Rocky! God bless your family!
Thanks Rocky!! I hope "Pumpkin" gets out of her/his shell and become a free spirit soul!! I wish i could adopt him/her. So sweet! Wish you love and light!!
When the dog sniffed the second treat then just put it’s head down as if to say, doesn’t matter, you’ll probably just kick me anyway. 😭😭😭 Thank you for a second chance, you are a champion Rocky!
I was a letter carrier for decades. I always tried to make friends with every dog I could. I gave them doggie treats, and stroked them, and talked cheerfully to them. I ended up making friends with most of them… Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Great Danes, and all kinds of smaller dogs. I loved it! There was only one breed, a Dalmatian, I was unable to become friends with, although I tried! I love dogs!
I remember the warnings that came out when 101 Dalmatians came out stating that the breed is wary of strangers. After the movie kids and toddlers would run up to them, which was not a good idea.
Thank you for taking us on this emotional journey! Just take care of your safety because any stray could have ear infection and therefore could react with sudden bites if touching ears is painful. Same could happen if you touched unknown bruises or swollen body parts. Stay safe and thanks you for your wonderful work! 🙏🏻❤️
Oh my, Pumpkin brought me to tears. So much sadness and anxiety for such a beautiful creature. My heart just hurts for him. So grateful that you, Kelly and the team are on his side. Oh, Pumpkin.❤❤😢
Of course Flip is proud of you! Don't even think there's a question. Fingers crossed for this beautiful boy to find his happy place/spot/home. he'll do so much better on the farm!
Rocky, I really need a happy ending, a friend I've known for years died, I'm dealing with some health issues. I really need to see something good😢 You're a miracle worker... This dog is breaking my heart... But I have no doubt you're going to pull it off!
I'm lifting you in prayer! My story is similar to yours. 2 weeks after my husband passed away, I caught the RSV virus. It attacked my cardiovascular system, and I had to have a major open heart surgery. A few months ago I was hospitalized with a serious Sepsis (infection in my blood) and Colitis. So watching animal videos are always uplifting. Take courage- God is with you! I'm a Pastor and an RN, so I pray that this verse will encourage you as much as it has encouraged me: "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you." [Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT] ❤️🫂
I hear you and feel you. The day I first saw this post, just last week, my father had just died. This was exactly 2 months after my sister had also just died. It's been Rocky's 'Sitting with dogs' sessions (that just happened to come up in my news feed, I've been watching ever since) that have really helped, (I've always loved all animals and am definitely an advocate for rescuing and adopting/fostering - every animal in need) simply because of Rocky's loving, deeply understanding, naturally intuitive, and truly insightful knowledge, being such a vital part of healing/coping for ALL beings, including humans, because healing cannot occur without love. Within a week of watching 'Sitting with dogs', I had signed up to be a member. This was about March, I started sending my sister any good info on kitty cats as my darling sister had a rescue kitten 😸 - and she enjoyed receiving helpful &/or anecdotal info about cats. We've both learned more about dogs and cats in those few months that we had together, than during the rest of our entire lives. I promised my sister that I would take her cat when she passed, that she would never end up in a shelter or get put down. I was then heartbroken that my (frail and elderly) mother, whom I look after & live with, said, "No way, she wouldn't tolerate a cat in the house, she might trip over it" so that was that, luckily, when we put the word out, one of my sister's dearest friends (who I also shared a house with many years ago) was only too happy to give Honey cat a very loving home, in honour of my sister. So that turned out OK. I'm sorry I've carried on a bit. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I hope that you are soon able to feel stronger, better and happier, and may your heart feel lighter soon❤
Is there a mailing address so I can help a little but I've been ripped off by putting my bank card info on things I wanted help. I wanna help but too scared to put my info out there again.

I wish punkin could stay with me but I know becasuse of what he needs, just the right person needs to be his fur momma or daddy. He needs companionship
And a schedule that he can count on ,he looks like he has been really super lonely and didn't have time to learn animal instincts from his mama.. Taken away too soon, by an owner that was too busy, maybe to be a pet owner❤
This is wonderful to wake up to and start the day😊
When you feel he is ready.
It would be so wonderful if you could adopt him! He definitely deserves the perfect forever home surrounded by love and kindness ❤❤
Awesome!!! Hope that would work out for him❤
@@AirGoddess1087 TV
I have never wanted to hug a dog soooooo much 🥲🥲🥲🥲
As someone who was abused, watching this is SO healing! Thank you for caring. Thank you for taking the time to tend to the wounds that aren’t visible. Love is the answer.
Love is the answer. Thank you so much for being here.
Love is the answer. So very true. Don't know you but sending so many healing wishes. ❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry you know how this dog feels from own your past.
@@rockykanakahow can I help ?
Well, this big little boy is why I finally became a member. Pumpkin needs Flip's Farm more than any dog I have seen on your channel and if my monthly payment will help him, that's enough for me. It is just so, so sad. I live on the East Coast of Canada, so I am about as far away as I could be on this continent, but it's the love of dogs that brings us all together. it's going to be okay, Pumpkin. It really is.
Excellent!
❤
Pumpkin is better as Ken (handsome). So cute and calm.
maybe they need some volunteer cuddlers. being stinky could keep people from spending time with him.
Thank you and RIP Ellie ❤️❤️
Look > 1:34 "If I just melt into the floor and disappear then no-one will see me and all these pains and problems will go away". This happens to people as well. I understand. Thank god you were there for him.
Money for Pumpkin
Thank you so much for taking him to the farm Rocky. He looks like such an absolutely sweet boy. I am sure you and Kelly will be able to help him. You two have so much love and he can feel it. Please give us ongoing pupdates on this sweet Pumpkin.
Awe I cried when the groomer said "it only gets better" that's so lovely and I can't wait for updates ❤
Watching those ladies bathe him and seeing the look on his face when they made a fuss of him that's my oxygen!
Finally! Someone special is going to help him. Makes me want to cry. God bless you all.
If I worried about dog poo on me after work with shut down dogs, I would have quit being a tech years ago.
Rocky you are the BEST💞💞
Thanks for dealing with lots of 💩
You and your team are truly amazing ❤❤❤
The poo, the pee, the vomit, the blood. Vet techs, kennel workers, vets, groomers. We see it all.
Animal Health Technology? I did not make it through the course, but that was my original goal.
You, Kelly plus your staff have such amazing compassion - I'm thrilled you chose to take him home - now I need to stop crying
Oh my shattered heart! I love Pumpkin so much!! I have severe anxiety and panic attacks so I kind of know how he feels. It’s horrible. I love him and pray for much happier days ahead. ❤
Praying 🙏 🎉❤for you too! Jesus said to cast your cares upon him for he cares for you. He is the God who gives peace That passes understanding.🙏✝️💌
He's scared😢
And for you❤❤❤
Oh my another tear jerker. Poor pumpkin I understand anxiety and being so scared your paralyzed. I pray he recovers and gets the loving home every dog truly deserves.
Thank you. Watching this is a little bit like therapy. My therapist does similar things with me and its works like magic.
He is beautiful, would never hurt anyone or anything. Thank you for helping Pumpkin!
Poor baby so scared. So glad you say no dog is too far gone! Don’t give up!
Flight, Fight or Freeze... poor sweet puppy! Thanks Rocky... i have PTSD & a very special therapy dog... thanks for helping this poor sweetie
I have CPTSD too! This helps me get back in touch with how much care I need as a survivor.
@@CynthiaSchoenbauersame. I hope you’re safe now. I had a service dog to help when I would dissociate. When Texas passed, I rescued two pups with bad trauma. Now I’m giving back to help them live in safety. But no matter their journey, we won’t live in fear again.
Dog are so loving as a survivor of cptsd my therapy dog is such a blessing.
I'm so glad pumpkin will have a great support team with rocky and Kelly.
@sonyacostin3213 agree! I, too have CPTSD & my dog is very aware of how i am doing. Bless you!

Rocky: “I know this is hard. We’re going to take deep breaths together.”

There is a special place in heaven for Mel. She is so good to those dogs. Bless her.
isn't she awesome 🥰

Mel is the best ❤️
I did the same thing!
Same!
Rocky you are a rock star…..I broke down and cried when you made the decision to pull Pumpkin…and then when you walked out with him. I will be watching closely to learn how he is doing going forward. God Bless you and Kelly for taking him to the farm.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for bringing this sweet dog to our attention. Bless you for what you do. Shows the beautiful hearts of you and your family.
❤
Very generous of you!! Thanks for supporting the channel
You can see him exhale and relax just a little bit. Slowly but you can see it happening.
❤❤❤
This made me cry. Thank you for what you do.
I had never heard of a Carolina dog until this video. My dog is a twin even to the spotted tounge as well. My dog was adopted from South Carolina.
You just know Flip is so happy that you brought Pumpkin to the farm. I'm sure we all can't wait to see his transformation! You're safe now, Pumpkin. 💕
Thank you for taking him out of the shelter. He looks like he just needs a good friend.
This is heartbreaking. I know you and Kelly will save his/her life👼🐶💗
I’m so happy! I just cried seeing you walk out of there with him! Thank you guys so much!! I can’t wait to see the progression! ❤❤❤
That is what I was asking. Are there going to be updates?
Mel is beautiful inside and out. She has such a gorgeous smile and warm sweet voice - so loving and gentle with the dogs. Just what they need when they are in that shelter environment.
Oh, God Bless the “Scoop!”
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This just breaks my heart. Rocky and Kelly-Thank you for all you do. I’m praying for this pup❤
Pumpkin just needed to be saved and you saw his little lost soul & reached out to him. Thank you for doing what you do, Rocky. I can’t wait to see him shine and give back love. 🥰
Same here. I can't wait!
Amen! He looks so sweet... ❤🥰😍
He's loving those head rubs. He'd definitely be such a loving dog once he opens up.
He did ...he loved his blow dry!
Oh my dear heaven this poor baby. I saw the short of him and had to see his story. You sir are an angel to so many dogs. Applause, Love and RESPECT!!
Me too❣️. That’s what brought me here♥️
Thank you so very much for your help!
Yeah, the short brought me to the whole vid. My own dogs are late getting their dinners because I had to watch. I'm such a bad mom!!!
St. Francis would be proud of Rocky, Kelly, and Mel. Best friends are the ones you want to help the most. Mel is right about him having an old soul in a puppy body. Thank you for being a beautiful voice for the forgotten and the hurt. 🙏🐶❤️
Amen!
My parents had no idea since I'm Asian ,But my name is Francis and I'm born on Oct 4..
Trauma cases break my heart. I'm so glad you could take him. Even if he can't stay for the entire time, it is the best thing for him right now. ❤
This looks like my Bella we just lost. She was a shepherd/lab/jindo mix. She was the sweetest. This poor scared baby breaks my heart!! Thanks SO much for helping him!!😭

@@kimsal13 I'm so sorry for the loss of your Bella. She sounds like a beautiful girl.
You’ve sat with some amazing dogs Rocky, but watching you carry Pumkin, with his head on your shoulder, you both became ‘one’. Quite beautiful ❤️❤️
I am so glad he's a part of this fam now 🤙
Aww Pumpkin is the perfect name for this little sweetheart 🧡 Thank you Rocky, Kelly and the shelter staff for everything you do 🙏🏼💖
It's not the first time I've gotten teary watching these dogs with you.
The beauty of your empathy is overwhelming. So very moved by your love.💙💙💙💙
Oh, that FACE. I love the way that shepherd mixes and other herding breed mixes emote with their ears so strongly.
@@va.spider you're right. I don't know if they revealed a dog breed (I'm not done watching this video), but I initially saw a shepherd there, like Swiss Shepherd and also a light Chow because of the darker tongue and the "teddy bear" face
Sweet baby Pumpkin makes me want to cry. Please 🙏 keep us posted on him. Hug's to Pumpkin.
Poor little pup. I’m glad he found you. ❤
🐾Love what Mel & the other Lady said "It only gets better from here" 🧡🎃🧡 Can't wait for the pupdate 🐾 Pumpkin.

God will bless you, Rocky. I'm sure this puppy will be alright with your loving help. Shout out to Kelly.

Thank you for a second chance, you are a champion Rocky!
She’s/He’s SO DIGGING that head massage!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I want to see a DNA test for this cutie.
Thank you for taking us on this emotional journey! Just take care of your safety because any stray could have ear infection and therefore could react with sudden bites if touching ears is painful. Same could happen if you touched unknown bruises or swollen body parts. Stay safe and thanks you for your wonderful work! 🙏🏻❤️
Mel is such an angel! Watching again and in tears! Loved seeing him press his head into your shoulder Rocky!
Oh my, Pumpkin brought me to tears. So much sadness and anxiety for such a beautiful creature. My heart just hurts for him. So grateful that you, Kelly and the team are on his side. Oh, Pumpkin.❤❤😢
Thank you sooooo much, Rocky! Love this sweet boy. ❤
Thanks! Thanks for putting the love and plan into this poor sweet pumpkin.
Thank you for being so loving and kind to this sweet but terrified dog. He's a lucky dog to have you and you're so lucky to have him.
Sending love to you ❤
Get well my friend ❤️
Thanks for taking care of Pumpkin 🎃
I’m so sorry sweet baby. May your every tomorrow be filled w the love you deserve. 🫂 🕊️
